We have visited here in the past, and can see that they have worked hard to solve the sewage and electrical problems. They have a great recreation area, that includes a basketball court, shuffleboard, volleyball, a pavillion. and an Olympic size pool. Plenty of activities scheduled for the kids, and re-enactors camping in their area. The lots aren't large, but wooded. They have an enclosed dog park. AND it is in Gettysburg. We camped at Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (Travel Resorts of America) in a Motorhome.

Our $10 rate was based on Coast to Coast. We knew they would not offer us full hookups, based on information in our C2C resort guidebook. Our site was much flatter than many of the reviews I've seen. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice and uncrowded even though the park was pretty full. Had no trouble maneuvering our 30' travel trailer and was able to back in with ease. Overall good experience. Quieter than I expected during the summer months. We camped at Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (Travel Resorts of America) in a Travel Trailer.

Bring along extra hose & power cord. Our site was convenient but I saw many sites with the hoses & cords stretched out or having to borrow extensions.

We accidentally got in a bad spot so I can't really speak on that. The place is "ok" I guess. The people who work there are nice enough but they didn't have ice and some other things. There was no real space for the dogs but there were some trails in the woods - full of seeds that stuck all over the place. The internet worked well. We camped at Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (Travel Resorts of America) in a Fifth Wheel.

Told us coast to coast members could not have full hookups. We had to share a site with my sister. Shared the water and elect. Again, no septic. Site not level, but long. We camped at Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (Travel Resorts of America) in a Travel Trailer.

Told that full hook-up sites were not available to visiting ROD members; no cable and no satellite reception on original 30 Amp site which was f to a 50 amp water/ 50 amp site. Next to us was a pop-up camper n a 50 amp site and an extension cord to a 20 Amp outlet!! This while motor homes were being assigned to 30 amp; non-level sites (there were several of us). We camped at Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (Travel Resorts of America) in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects Coast to Coast rate. Some of the turns in the park are a bit tight due to large rocks strategically placed. It was difficult to park on our site due to trees.
No other issues noted. Staff was friendly, lots of activities and great location to visit Gettysburg National Battlefield. We camped at Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (Travel Resorts of America) in a Motorhome.

This is a members only facility. The restrooms are mold covered and smelly. Not nearly enough full hook up sites. Very limited hot water in the showers. Stay away from the sales pitch. We camped at Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (Travel Resorts of America) in a Travel Trailer.

We arrived to find they had the wrong dates on the reservation. They had 6 sites unassigned and were able to get us a W/E site. The water had low pressure, power was OK but low. We were guided to the site but not assisted in backing in, sort of pointed to the site. They had several activities planned as this is a member park and it appears that most people know each other. We camped at Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (Travel Resorts of America) in a Fifth Wheel.

I am a TRA member, and a Coast to Coast member. My home group for TRA is in NC. When I joined TRA in March of 2008 Gettysburg was part of the NC parks and I would make my reservation online and pick my site and length of stay.

However this time I had to go through Coast to Coast and pay them and Gettysburg picked my site for me. Of course I got the non sewage site. I just want to thank TRA for not taking care of one of their own, because I have not upgraded my membership.

I did enjoy my stay and will be back because of all the history of Gettysburg. The RV park itself is located on one of the battle fields which makes it a desirable place to visit. All sites are gravel, uneven and close together. Overall a good place to visit. We camped at Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (Travel Resorts of America) in a Motorhome.

This is a standard "parking lot" style campground. However, they handle big rigs. Sites are VERY close together. Sites were not level, we saw campers with wheels off the ground to get level. They were full on the weekends and it felt like the campers were sitting on top of each other. Power was a significant issue. Our power went out several times; we had to find staff to flip the breaker. In talking with other campers, power fluctuation and loss is a normal occurrence. They were also working on the water lines throughout our 2 week stay. Multiple times our water was shut off-with NO NOTICE. Campground sponsored weekend activities-mostly for kids. We left to get groceries, when we came back they had the entrance blocked and we couldn't get into the campground. We told the staff member that was "guarding" the front entrance that we had been given no notice of the closure and had groceries that needed to get into freezer. His response: "Oh, Well. Bummer". Gravel roads through the campground, but they were well maintained. Each camp site is gravel. Some of the campsites had a small patch of grass. Sites are all very level. Each site had a fire ring and picnic table. Only 30 amps available. No sewer hookups, there is a dump station to use as you exit. They also have a honey wagon available for an additional cost. There is a nice laundry room, but it was more expensive than most we have seen. Good Verizon coverage. We had DirecTV satellite, but about ½ of the campsites could not have gotten satellite due to trees. Bottom line for us: communication between staff and campers is pitiful at best. We would stay here again, but understanding what we may experience. Know what to expect here: poor power, possible water issues, small sites, and rude staff. We camped at Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (Travel Resorts of America) in a Fifth Wheel.

The park was a very nice place to stay. The employees that work there are so friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. We stayed for three nights on trip points from Coast to Coast. When in Pa we will stay there again. It is one mile to the Battlefield and the trolly ride is free to the battlefield. Some of the roads are pretty tight for a larger rig. Not all sites are level - we saw several motorhomes with wheels off the ground. We had to drive up on blocks in order to get level. Wifi was very weak and slow where we were, although it was pretty good up by the office. No cable was a surprise, and we weren't able to get many channels using the antenna. On some of the sites you may need extra hoses for fresh water, as some of the water spigots were in unusual places. We camped at Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (Travel Resorts of America) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Bring an appropriately sized extension cord. Our electrical pedestal was at the very front of the site, while we had to back in as far as we could in order to get level.

I really wanted to like this place more. It has a lot of things going for it. The staff is the high point, super nice and very helpful. No complaints there. It's very nearby local attractions and is clean. I also like the amenities like a big beautiful pool.

But there were some issues. One is that if you want to have full hook ups including sewage you need to stay in the sites closer to the entrance. The issue is these sites are VERY tight. Literally on top of each other. The sites on the bottom are much more roomy but you can't get sewage. And here's the kicker, they charge you for honey wagon service. They lack the sewage and you have to pay extra because of it.

Also in this day and age it's time for all campgrounds to adopt WiFi to the sites. We camped at Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (Travel Resorts of America) in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here two nights in July and one night in August on Coast to Coast reservations. Pull-thru sites. One FHU and the other W/E. One near the office was narrow and required leveling boards. The other was in the lower park, wide and level. This park is busy and the spaces near the entrance are subject to considerable noise from the coming and going of others. We will stay here again, but probably just for overnights. We camped at Gettysburg Battlefield Resort (Travel Resorts of America) in a Fifth Wheel.
