Terrible roads- narrow and winding- very confusing signage. Occupied sites are littered with cars, junk, etc. place is dirty! Only nice thing is pool which looks new! Too busy touring to use! Will NEVER return. They need to spend some of their high priced rates they pull in on updating and cleanup! We camped at Round Top Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed in the "resort" for days to visit the nearby historical. We did not use facilities in the park. The pool and tennis court looked nice. For us the $70 fee was a little high as the "resort" roads and general appearance are in shambles. Very hard to navigate the rough narrow roads. Would not choose this park again. We camped at Round Top Campground in a Motorhome.

The site was a mudhole. The roads highly confusing and once down a lane, hard to turn the rig. Most sites are Park models or trailers, so there is little choice. We camped at Round Top Campground in a Motorhome.

Trying to stay near Frederick MD, my usual favorite campgrounds were booked. Weekends in Oct are popular and we booked late, but we were able to get in here. I see why now. This campground is very tight, there were trailers within inches of the roads/stop signs throughout, and its a very uneven campground with all kinds of hills and valleys. The roads are very narrow bumpy paved, some gravel. Most of this place you can hear trucks thundering by, as its really almost right next to Rt 15. It is also full of permanent sites with sheds and junk thrown around. The "bathhouse" was a little tiny building, looked like cabin, 2 bathrooms, 2 showers. No hot water in one, and no paper towels to dry your hands except for the am we left. The only dumpsters were at the entrance and we were far from that. Glad we weren't staying a long time, would have had to keep hauling trash in our car. The only thing good about this campground is it's close to Gettysburg, but so are several other campgrounds. Glad we checked it out, but will never stay here again. We camped at Round Top Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Our site is right beside a major highway. We were NOT told that at the time of reservation (in my opinion this should be disclosed at time of reservation).

Prior to arrival and at time of reservation I asked if sites are level multiple times! I was told yes. Get here, front wheels are off the ground. I asked to move sites. So they gave me 3 other options. All too short for us and even more unlevel (for our 40 foot motor home). I see at least 20 sites that would have worked for us that are open, and have been open our entire stay.

Most sites are not level.

Grounds are un-kept. Grass is up to my shin. Were told their lawn mower is not working (no excuse in, my opinion when one can hire landscaping help).

Sewer connections are uphill; therefore not draining properly.

Bathhouse is not air conditioned or heated, not even ventilated. Semi clean.

Some permanent sites are unattractive ("junky"). Others are well-kept.

Had to pay in-full at time of reservation, no refunds. Now I see why! Lesson learned!

Thankfully we are out and about being tourist and not at the CG often. We will not return. Found several other campgrounds nearby that looked like a better fit for us. We camped at Round Top Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed for 3 nights in site 237. The utilities were fine, but for that price I don't expect to get gouged for wifi. The site was level with grass and some gravel. Many of sites appear to be seasonal or long term. Many were fixed up nicely, but some looked like a junkyard! The pool needs cleaning and has broken cement and tiles. I consider this campground overpriced for the condition and would not stay here again. We camped at Round Top Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed in a pull thru site in the front of the campgound. It was unlevel, gravel . Utilities worked fine. Nice amount of cable channels. The sites are very close in most places. We were supposed to have a back in near the back of this campground, that was extremely unlevel and had standing water due to the recent rain, Alot of the back ins looked this way. I doubt i would stay here again, unless everthing else was booked, and then only in a pull through. We camped at Round Top Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Loud & off major highway, more of a trailer park feel, very uneven lots, we got stuck. Little grass lots and lots of gravel. Very bad water pressure. Very unfriendly staff. We are not the 1st to leave feedback. Read feedback from other people who stayed here and simply stay away from this campground. Anyone who makes you pay in full at time of reservation should be an indication that you do not want to camp here. I submitted a review to their website but it seems they only approve the good one that make them sound good. We camped at Round Top Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here on a Halloween weekend at 64.00 a night. Pretty steep, but Gettysburg campgrounds are high for whatever reason. They charge a $25.00 permit fee for golf carts, which when I inquired about with the manager he became dismissive and invited me not to stay but having paid already with no refund I could not accommodate. Sites are very tight, hookups are all the way to the back of the sites where we were, a lot of abandoned campers in permanent sites. The good, they had some activities for the kids,a dog parade, the desk staff was very pleasant and helpful, and no overbearing staff policing the grounds. Rating is due to high daily rate, golf cart fee, not a lot of activities considering the cost and it being a Halloween weekend. Would not stay here again . Overall Rating:

We selected this campground because it was the only one available in Gettysburg with multiple sites to accommodate a last minute family get-together with multiple travel trailers. The previous reviews were mixed so we were a little nervous about what to expect. First, this campground has the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen at a campground, not so much as a cobweb in a corner. The pool was very clean but really cold. We didn't stay in long but that was due to the unseasonably cool temperatures. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. The campground seemed well maintained in the common areas. There were little to no bugs either which was great! However there were a few negatives to the campground which is why it received a six. The playground consists of 1 slide, 2 seesaws and 4 swings. It could definitely use an upgrade. The mini-golf was $5 per person. The cost was way too expensive given the condition of the course. I would rather pay $7.50 per person for the awesome mini-golf place up the road. The firewood was very expensive for the few little pieces of wood that you get. We drove around and found a better deal on wood. Lastly, we were given a site in the Devils Den area. We asked for clarification on what the tank sites were. We were assured that they were the same as a sewer site but just above ground. When it came time to empty our black and gray water tanks, it was a pain in the butt to say the least. We would not pick a site like this one again. This campground would be great if you have no children or plan to spend very little time at the campground. Pick a regular sewer site as opposed to one of the tank sites. We stayed here for 4 nights. We camped at Round Top Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Not a bad campground, but not great. We camped here next to friends in their pop-up as a shake down for the coming summer. The campground was clean and fairly quiet even though it is just off of Rte15 highway. There was some occasional road noise, but not too often. Lots of seasonal sites as well as an attached mobile home park. Other campers were friendly, as was the camp staff. The pool is large. The mini golf course was old but neat looking, though not yet open for the season. Large clubhouse was showing its age as well. Bathrooms and showers were clean. I could get WiFi at the site but it was an up charge. Would stay again. Rate reflects a free night's stay. We camped at Round Top Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed at Round Top Campground over Columbus Day weekend. Park was nice, bathrooms/showers clean, lots of seasonals. Stayed in Devils Den section, will not stay there again. Tight turn with trucks sticking out in the road, sites very uneven. Sewer hookup is above ground tanks. If you are lucky your sewer is higher than the tank. Unusable on some of the sites. It is aptly named if you are familiar with Gettysburg, it is all big rocks! Was nice and close to battlefield. Might stay again but definitely not in that section. Relatives also stayed with us and they did not charge extra, even thought it is listed as extra on their site. We camped at Round Top Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed overnight just to prepare our travel trailer for the winter. The owners and office manager were very nice. As stated, it is mostly seasonal and permanent trailers here. Not a problem so late in the season, but may pose an issue on crowded summer weekends. Our site was a level pull through at the front of this park, near the office. Wi-Fi worked well for us. Used the bathroom once and it was clean. The pool appeared to be large, but maybe not enough for all the summer campers. We would stay in the off season again, but not in the summer. We were traveling to Gettysburg and found that Round Top was the ONLY campground we were able to reserve a site for in October. Every campground in Gettysburg runs Halloween Weekends the entire month of October and book up early. We were lucky in that someone on a seasonal site had pulled out early. There are a LOT of seasonal campers in this campground. In fact, after my stay, I received an email from the campground inviting me to "go seasonal". We camped on a back-in site that had a concrete pad. It was sufficient for our needs in a 40 foot motorhome. We were parked next to a park model trailer that had been there for some time with several associated out-buildings and sheds. A few of the seasonal units looked like they had been there a very long time, but I didn't really notice anything messy in the area of our site. The electric worked well and the sewer connection was in a good location. I was not charged additional for cable that I'm aware of, but it is a pricy campground. Our site was fairly close to 15 and you do hear a lot of traffic noise. Inside, not so much. If you sleep with your windows open, it might be a problem. The roads are pretty narrow and winding and there are some sites better suited for smaller rigs (although the office knows this and won't try to put you on a site where you will not fit). The folks in the office were very friendly and provided some good advice for sightseeing in the area. I did not try to use the WIFI, although one of the repeaters was on the shower house a few sites away from me. I think it would work well. They use Tengonet, so if you have an account it should work fine. If I go to Gettysburg again, I'd go back. We camped at Round Top Campground in a Motorhome.
