Nice, smaller campground. Close to major highways and Hershey Park. Check in was easy and shown to our campsite by an employee, of which all were very friendly and courteous. Upgraded newer bathrooms and showers. We had a level, gravel, spacious site. No campstore, but you can purchase firewood. Pool area is very nice, which we enjoyed in between visiting Hershey. At this point I would have given them a score of 9 or 10. However, then it went downhill when Friday night came. No one followed the 5mph speed limit, almost everyone did well above that, it was a little scary since we had young granchildren with us. One truck even did a burn out in front of our site! And many campers cut thru our site and other campsites instead of walking on the paved roads. At first I thought it was a fluke because we were inside our camper the first time we saw it, but random people did it even when we were sitting outside; we have never experienced that before. If it would have been one person speeding or one particular camper that kept cutting thru our site, I would consider going back. But at this point I would not. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lovely park with plenty of trees. The staff was wonderful and escorted to our site. The site was gravel, but the interior roads were paved and easy to navigate. There is a nice pool and playground, neither of which we used. Our welcome packet included directions to some of the nearby sites. We visited Hershey Chocolate World. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here several nights. Very convenient to the things we wanted to see. Park shady and clean. Close to the interstate, but noise didn't bother us at night. Had a beautiful swimming pool and friendly staff. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Love this park! The staff was super nice and helpful. the whole park is shaded. Plenty of big rig sites. Paved interior roads are wide enough. There is a big sign that points toward the campground. The building at the sign is NOT the office. Go up the hill to get there. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here 4 nights. The first night was $65 - it was the day after Labor Day and they consider that part of the holiday weekend. The staff is very friendly, the sites are gravel (but not level), shaded, and well spaced. The bathrooms are clean and roomy. They have free ice available. It is close to the interstate, but we did not have a problem with noise. The cable and wi-fi worked great. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed for 6 weeks, first site was a pull through, extremely unlevel (507) with absolutely no 'living' area outside except for the picnic table and fire pit. We had to move to a back in site (603) due to amount of reservations during the Hershey RV Show. That site was pretty unlevel too. Our biggest complaint was that for both sites, dumping was UPHILL, seriously frustrating. The biggest compliment is that the staff is amazing. The monthly rate was $775 plus electric, and our electric was less than $60. During the summer, known to have brownouts, and on site 603, we lost a leg on the 50 amp. Cable was decent, but we weren't able to use our satellite in either spot. Wifi was okay, but not steady enough to 'stream' (I like Pandora, their wifi couldn't handle that). There is a huge 'dog area' but it would be more helpful to have it fenced in. I'm not sure we'd stay here again if there were other places available, but with the RV show, vacancies were difficult to come by. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Gilligan's, while pricey, was good food. Boulevard Pizza at the bottom of the hill is very tasty. And if you can, go to the Farmer's Market in Lemoyne - loved the coffee shop, book store, and TONS of different foods to choose from!

We stayed here for a month in August/September 2016. The staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The pool is at 80 degrees and very clean. Showers, laundry very nice as well. They even have an ice machine for RV'rs. Sewer, water, electric and wifi all worked perfect. We couldn't be happier. We will come back again. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice, clean CG with easy access to Interstate. Our 50 amp, FHU, pull-thru site was gravel with lots of shade. The whole CG has trees for shade. Our site took a little work to level. Enough space between sites to sit outside. Sites near Interstate were quite noisy. Ours was near office, so noise not a bother inside or out. WiFi was excellent as was cable. Good Verizon cell service. Friendly, efficient check-in. Lots of shopping/restaurants nearby. Close to downtown Harrisburg and easy drive to Hershey. Lancaster about 45 minutes. We would stay here again. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

This is our third stay here and a little bit pricier this time than the last time we stayed here 3 years ago. I called on our way home and was lucky enough to get a spot for us to stay overnight. We were on an end site and it did have a bit of traffic noise. The bathrooms were in the process of being redone and they were very nice. At one time there had been a cost for using showers but that was done away with. I think this was nice for a one night stop to relax after a day of traveling but not sure if I would stay here longer. The higher price might deter me from staying longer even though this is a great location for so many areas of Pennsylvania. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We have used this campground many tomes for a overnight. It has always been great for that reason. It is under new ownership now who have made a lot of improvements, including the better wifi and cable. It's easy to find and lots of great places to eat within a few miles. We will continue to use this as a stopover! We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

We've stayed at Harrisburg East many times, and it was never a great campground (due to traffic noise, close spots, pay showers, little or no grass, etc.), but the new owners are increasing prices (now $45 a night - ridiculous for the area) and requiring a copy of my driver's license, something I've never heard of at a campground. They also now want two night's deposit. The wifi, while free, is flakey - it just randomly dies, only to return a few minutes later. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stop by here every September on our way through. We often stay for two nights most places just to decompress before traveling again. There isn't much going on at this campground but the location has always been convenient for us. The rate for a 50 A site had been $40. We were prepared to pay for two nights until they told us that would be $110. The lady at the desk said they are under new management and the new owners raised the rates. I understand the cost of things goes up over time but $40 for one night was already too high for what this campground offers. This new owner is going to need to rebuild this place from the ground up to justify $55 a night. We stayed for one night only because we were already there and mentally I was done driving for the day. We would not pay that price for a second night and we will not be back unless that new owner reconsiders their ridiculous new pricing scheme. Now to detail the haves and have nots. I checked it as family friendly because over the years we have seen families with children. The only thing close to a playground are a few old pieces left over from what must have been a jellystone park many years ago. They did recently add cable TV. They only have a even dozen channels and no channel guide. This alone is not worth any extra money let alone the $15 per night increase. Some of the other sites throughout are closer to level but the three 50 A sites up front by the office pull in level but the front of the site falls off pretty good. This presented no difficulty to us in a motorhome but I mention it for those with fifth wheels as I have seen people hitching up at weird uphill angles. They do have a number of tent sites but these are across a public street from the bathhouse. There have been mentions of road noise in other reviews but we did not have any problem. If you stay closer to the office you should not hear the road noise from the interstate. Overall it is a pretty basic place but it always suited our purposes until they raised the price so high. Hopefully they will reevaluate before they lose so much business they end up closing the place. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

Staff friendly and efficient. Sites level but not very wide. The biggest problem was the traffic noise since there was an interstate highway next to the campground so not very peaceful. Easy access in and out. Would stay here again but pick a site closer to the office and further from the highway. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

Rate is for weekly stay. It's a smaller park with mostly paved streets and gravel sites. Many permanents and stored units around. Lots of sites are not level as previously mentioned. We had to pull to the front of the site to receive a satellite signal and our wheels were off the ground. Laundry has only three machines and one was out of order. Park appears to be installing cable. WiFi was spotty. Looks like the showers are pay. The pool was not yet open but appeared to be nice. Was a little surprised they allowed a smelly horse trailer to occupy a site near campers. Lots of grassy areas would be nice if fenced for dog runs. We would stay again.
