2 night stay on way down south. Campground is next to highway so there is road noise louder the closer you are too it. There is a military base close by so occasional fly overs. We were told that Air Force one does touch downs here at times. Site gravel, level, flat with full hook ups. Lots of trees for shade. Pool is still open. Staff friendly and helpful. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We specifically stayed here to go to Hershey World and the free factory tour. In Hershey is also Hershey Gardens and the North American Zoo. We got discounted admission with our Detroit Zoo Membership and membership at Tohono Chul Gardens. We found that in Harrisburg that there is the National Civil War Museum. There are many civil war sites within an hours drive such as Gettysburg.

Good Location, nice small park. My site was very unlevel, both downhill and side to side. Most of my neighbors had their tires off the ground, trying to level. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a nice clean park and a great place to overnight. We are just passing through on our way to Maine, but I've heard there are a lot of attractions in the area. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here longer in that case. The staff person on duty was very friendly and helpful and offered to lead us to our site, but the roads were smooth and easy to navigate so we declined her offer. Our gravel site is neat and level. All utilities are nicely placed for easy access. The electric service is steady with good voltage. The water pressure is good, the sewer port clean and accessable. Refreshingly after the last park in which we stayed, the WiFi service here is quite good. Also Verizon service in the area is strong. The park cable TV worked well. Didn't try the OTA service. I agree with another review, they offer a very nice dog play area here. All in all this is a nice place to visit. We would not hesitate to return. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We were coming into the area for a wedding, just an overnight stay. CG fit us in inbetween next guest. Easy to maneuver on roads. Nice pool, great I fenced field for dog area. We were in spot 502, towards end. No trees, but there were about 30 spots for 50 amp, full service. They had a propane refill, exchange. Dump station was$15.00. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

A very nice campground convenient to Hershey Attractions. Some sites are wooded, some are open with moderate shade. Decent cable and wifi, level sites, hookups all worked fine. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Nice, smaller campground. Close to major highways and Hershey Park. Check in was easy and shown to our campsite by an employee, of which all were very friendly and courteous. Upgraded newer bathrooms and showers. We had a level, gravel, spacious site. No campstore, but you can purchase firewood. Pool area is very nice, which we enjoyed in between visiting Hershey. At this point I would have given them a score of 9 or 10. However, then it went downhill when Friday night came. No one followed the 5mph speed limit, almost everyone did well above that, it was a little scary since we had young granchildren with us. One truck even did a burn out in front of our site! And many campers cut thru our site and other campsites instead of walking on the paved roads. At first I thought it was a fluke because we were inside our camper the first time we saw it, but random people did it even when we were sitting outside; we have never experienced that before. If it would have been one person speeding or one particular camper that kept cutting thru our site, I would consider going back. But at this point I would not. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lovely park with plenty of trees. The staff was wonderful and escorted to our site. The site was gravel, but the interior roads were paved and easy to navigate. There is a nice pool and playground, neither of which we used. Our welcome packet included directions to some of the nearby sites. We visited Hershey Chocolate World. Love this park! The staff was super nice and helpful. the whole park is shaded. Plenty of big rig sites. Paved interior roads are wide enough. There is a big sign that points toward the campground. The building at the sign is NOT the office. Go up the hill to get there. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a month in August/September 2016. The staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The pool is at 80 degrees and very clean. Showers, laundry very nice as well. They even have an ice machine for RV'rs. Sewer, water, electric and wifi all worked perfect. We couldn't be happier. We will come back again. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed for 6 weeks, first site was a pull through, extremely unlevel (507) with absolutely no 'living' area outside except for the picnic table and fire pit. We had to move to a back in site (603) due to amount of reservations during the Hershey RV Show. That site was pretty unlevel too. Our biggest complaint was that for both sites, dumping was UPHILL, seriously frustrating. The biggest compliment is that the staff is amazing. The monthly rate was $775 plus electric, and our electric was less than $60. During the summer, known to have brownouts, and on site 603, we lost a leg on the 50 amp. Cable was decent, but we weren't able to use our satellite in either spot. Wifi was okay, but not steady enough to 'stream' (I like Pandora, their wifi couldn't handle that). There is a huge 'dog area' but it would be more helpful to have it fenced in. I'm not sure we'd stay here again if there were other places available, but with the RV show, vacancies were difficult to come by. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Gilligan's, while pricey, was good food. Boulevard Pizza at the bottom of the hill is very tasty. And if you can, go to the Farmer's Market in Lemoyne - loved the coffee shop, book store, and TONS of different foods to choose from!

We stayed here 4 nights. The first night was $65 - it was the day after Labor Day and they consider that part of the holiday weekend. The staff is very friendly, the sites are gravel (but not level), shaded, and well spaced. The bathrooms are clean and roomy. They have free ice available. It is close to the interstate, but we did not have a problem with noise. The cable and wi-fi worked great. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice, clean CG with easy access to Interstate. Our 50 amp, FHU, pull-thru site was gravel with lots of shade. The whole CG has trees for shade. Our site took a little work to level. Enough space between sites to sit outside. Sites near Interstate were quite noisy. Ours was near office, so noise not a bother inside or out. WiFi was excellent as was cable. Good Verizon cell service. Friendly, efficient check-in. Lots of shopping/restaurants nearby. Close to downtown Harrisburg and easy drive to Hershey. Lancaster about 45 minutes. We would stay here again. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

Snowbirds heading North for the summer. This was either our third or fourth stay at Harrisburg East and it will be our last. Previous stays were acceptable, however this time we arrived around 7pm after a long drive in bumper to bumper traffic around NY city. We were charged $55 for a pull through with full hookups (far more than on previous stays). Due to torrential rain we opted to initially only hook up the electric. When the rain stopped a couple of hours later attempted to complete the hookups and found there was no water faucet on the site, the cable box was broken and lying on the ground, the sewer connection was damaged (chunk out of the threaded portion) to the point that I elected not to connect and have it leak on the ground, and the Wifi kept going down every 15 minutes or so.

In the morning, upon checking out, the other half complained to the office staff and got the standard sorry, we'll tell the manager. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Motorhome.

This is our third stay here and a little bit pricier this time than the last time we stayed here 3 years ago. I called on our way home and was lucky enough to get a spot for us to stay overnight. We were on an end site and it did have a bit of traffic noise. The bathrooms were in the process of being redone and they were very nice. At one time there had been a cost for using showers but that was done away with. I think this was nice for a one night stop to relax after a day of traveling but not sure if I would stay here longer. The higher price might deter me from staying longer even though this is a great location for so many areas of Pennsylvania. We camped at Harrisburg East Campground in a Travel Trailer.
