Stayed in the Carousel area. Very, very difficult to pull into and then out of our site in our 40 ft Class A Motorhome. This is a campground for families with children wanting to visit Hershey Park. Good discounts on tickets. The pool was always packed with children. Numerous events during the day for children. The closest restrooms and showers were located by the pool and they stayed clean for a short while and then were filthy much of the day due to children usage. In the pure volume of children wildly riding bikes in streets and RV sites, posed noise and in our case, our sewer hose was knocked out. One hot, humid day, many were running their air conditioners. Our motorhome's electrical management system kept shutting off the power to protect our unit (due to low voltage.) A technician came and solved the problem by rewiring various lots to more equally distribute the load. He was wonderful. We stayed here for a family reunion and would never return again. It appears to us that Hershey simply put too many RV sites in a limited area. We camped at Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground) in a Motorhome.

Stayed in the Carrousel loop near the end, spot 179. Tight for a pull through. The roads are narrow and if someone parks a truck slightly into the road it's tough to get through. Sites were gravel and level, very close to each other. WiFi was spotty (Tengo so expected) and no internet at all Friday night. Wooded sites so no satellite. Cable was good. It looks like the spots up the hill are farther apart. Tent area is in a lower part of the park and close to a stream. Susceptible to flooding in heavy rain. Cabins appear to be very nice. We didn't use the bathhouses so I can't comment about them. Lots of amenities for kids. 3 pools, play room. Free shuttle to Hershey Park and Chocolate World. We camped at Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground) in a Motorhome.

What a total zoo! We had the misfortune of staying here during a concert weekend, and the park was quite crowded. The girl at the reception desk gave us terrible directions to our site and we ended up at the dead end maintenance building. A nice young security worker was nice enough to escort us to our site, which was surprisingly small for a pull-through. While other RVs were escorted from the office to their site, we were not. Not sure why not.

There were kids and dogs everywhere, but by 10 PM the park was quiet.

TV cable was OK. Wi-FI was TengoInternet, so we knew it would be terrible.

The roads into the campsite area are very narrow, and too many trucks were parked right out in the road where they did not belong, so navigating our Class A and tow was challenging.

For $60 plus per night, it it not a place we ever plan on re-visiting. The "Sweetest Town on Earth" left a bad taste in our mouths. We camped at Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground) in a Motorhome.

Nice campground. The only downside of this campground is the rail line next to and above the campground, trains come through day and night, so it is best to get a site near the creek. Otherwise, move, level site, great staff, nice and very clean bath house. They have a shuttle to the park, play grounds, move, well stocked store, game room, and several pools. We came here for the Southern Ground festival on Labor Day weekend. Our site was in the Carrousel (sic) section. Be aware that this part of the park is tight and very busy. Lots of foot traffic and small children. Aforementioned train runs frequently but with our fan on at night we never heard it. As usual, TengoInternet is synonymous with poor Wi-Fi, and that was the case here as well. Our kids weren't too pleased about that. Good laundry facility that was inexpensive to use. Bathrooms in the main building were rather busy with many tent campers present. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Shuttles to Hersheypark ran a lot and early entry into the park is a nice perk of staying here. We will visit again. We camped at Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Some of the road and sites are pretty tight to maneuver here. Get good directions to your site. We loved that free buses run back & forth to the amusement park and Chocolate World. You can also get a free bus connect to go to the gardens and the Hershey Hotel. Admission to everything can be purchased at the campground office for a big discount, which is good as the campground was overpriced to us. The restrooms near us were new, ample and clean. We only had water/electric/cable hookups (no sewer) but they were good. Roads are paved, but sites are gravel. Cabins are available if you have family joining you. The loop we were on had many trains passing very close all day & night & that was a big negative. The staff was super pleasant. When we pulled up to our site, we were concerned about some low hanging branches, which they quickly came over & trimmed for us. The campground has a nice atmosphere. We would stay there again, but not near the railroad tracks. We camped at Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

This is one the best campgrounds ever! They have a shuttle bus to the Park out of the campground! The store and pool is clean and everyone is friendly. The stream spots are the best and fun. Our family really enjoyed ourselves. We camped at Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Great park, it was a top notch place. The only bad thing was the internet. Never did was able to connect but I lived with out it. The price is high but for what you get it is great. Grandkids used the pool a couple of times and they had life guards which is a plus. Park had transportation to Hershey Park which saved the $12 for parking. Great stay. We has a pull-through site in Carousel Circle (CC206); it was along the front row. Upon arrival we parked in the10 minute registration area and had to make a hard right hand turn to head towards Carousel Circle. This was complicated due to the fact I had a 35' travel trailer in tow and numerous vehicles parked in the adjacent parking area. Once we found our site the opening to it was extremely tight due to the hookups being so close together and the road being so narrow you could not swing the RV enough to make the turn. I ended up needing 3 spotters to watch to make sure I didn't hit anything. Luckily our site neighbors where very gracious and moved their rug and picnic table so we could drive into our site. Once we where set up there was no room to park my tow vehicle on the campsite and had to park in the grassy area down the road. OK, so that concludes the negativity! We had an amazing time at Hershey Park & Chocolate World, and didn't really get to enjoy much of the campground. But from what we saw there was plenty of activities at the campground. As Disney-aholics we are used to waiting a long time for transportation; this was not the case at Hershey! The shuttle service to and from the park was amazing. We never waited more then 5-10 minutes. Campground had great discounted tickets for Hershey Park and the 3 hour preview the night before and the Sweet Start option were awesome! While this was our first trip to Hershey Campground it definitely will not be our last, we will just try to pick a better site for our RV. We camped at Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Great gift shop. Large clean pool. Bathrooms were pretty clean for the heavy traffic. Good playground next to shelter and communal fire pit. Roomy sites with full hookup, clean picnic table & fire ring. Lots of trees/shade. A shuttle to Hershey Park & Attractions. We would stay here again. We stayed in a 26' motorhome, in a back in site by the creek, pull thru sites available. We camped at Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground) in a Motorhome.

We loved this park! We were there for a family member who was in Hershey Medical. The staff was amazing! The showers were well maintained, signage great, and the park was very well kept. While we didn't use the pool but the reception and store were top notch. They have a shuttle stop in site Ophir Hershey Park. If you stay at the RV park you can get in one hour earlier than the general public. Some of the road markings were difficult to see, but the day we left they were out painting. I simply cannot say enough about the management. Truly exceptional! We camped at Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

I have stayed at nicer campgrounds for less money. However, location, location, location. We didn't use the facilities, so I can't comment on them. The sites were all gravel and most were pretty level with good drainage. Might as well not have WiFi as it was verrrry slow to non-existence. There is a lot of train noise day and night. The wife said she heard 6 trains go through one night. I can't verify that (I didn't hear any). Check-in was a breeze. The Store is fully equip and has everything a camper needs. All in all, I do believe the positives out weigh the negatives and I would/will stay here again. We camped at Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground) in a Motorhome.

I'll start by saying we have ONLY stayed here in November. The last 3 years we've camping here for the opening of Christmas season. All water is turned off at sites ~ you have to fill up at the office when you check in. But, electric, cable and sewer are still available. We don't use alot of amenities, but we love it. The office and store are beautiful (redone after flooding in 2011). The shuttle take you to park at no charge. Buy your tickets to the park in the store as there's a discount. Yes, the train goes by regularly if you are up in the Pioneer Heights area. If you're in a trailer/RV, you'll barely hear it. The sites are way to close together in the pull through section. Waiting in line for 25 minutes watching a 5th wheel trying to get into the tiny sites. When we got to our site, it was already taken by another RV. They decided they didn't like the site assigned to them. 20 minute wait for a reassigned site, that if we wanted a camp fire we would have set our neighbors trailer on fire. Never again.
