2 Parks near Jonestown, Pennsylvania
Sep 2015 - $43.00
This park is now called Jonestown AOK Campground and has been under new management for the past year. They are working on bringing the campground up to date. That being said, it looks like they pay the bills by allowing lots of older trailers to stay permanently onsite.
We needed a spot for one night on the Monday night of the Labor Day Weekend. We could not find cheaper accommodations so we picked this park as it was on our route.
The RV site was fine for us: it was level, had an adequate electrical service, water pressure was good at 50 psi, the sewer was fine but most access points in the park lacked a good sealing cap so there were sewer odors at times.
It was mostly quiet while we were there except for the locals leaving the park at 4:30-6:30am. We were located on an end site near the exit road. It appeared to be the transient RV site area.
If this was a Passport America park we would stay again. $22 would be more appropriate for this type of RV park. - Howard Jaros

I stayed at this campground for 3 weeks. The rate was $150 a week for 50 amps. Very nice campground, run by a very pleasant lady that worked hard to accomadate our needs. This is a new owner/management campground as it was a KOA before and now is a AOK campground. I also stay at the campground when it was a KOA and the new management under AOK is much better than the previous management. Every thing you need is here, pool, mini-golf, pet walks, stores within 3/4 miles, yet is in the woods and very clean and quite. I enjoyed my three weeks at this site. Kudos to the new management. - earlhop

Very pleasant campground with spacious sites. Ours had a view of a horse corral which we walked over to pet the horses.
Also neat was food delivery to your site from the general store. Very inexpensive. They have sandwiches and sides which were yummy: fried pickles, onion rings, jalapeño poppers.
Camped here on Labor Day and was very quiet. Nice stopover as it is easy off & on from I81. - Beachside Baby

First time stay at a "Journey KOA" right off I-81. Someone escorted us to site. Restaurant and store very convenient. Dog park clean and fenced in. Only stayed one night so site was near road. But for future reference there is a lovely creek with tubing and canoes onside of campground. If we were staying longer, would have asked for site for lovely, restful views. Fast food restaurant right across street as well as gas station. Pleasant surprise staying here. - Andrea W

This is a good park for overnight stops only, this is not a destination campground. There is no pool or mini golf. They do have a very small splash pad and jumping pillow, only suitable for very young kids. These were extra and not included in your site price. Most kids would be bored. They do offer canoe rentals, which is all there would be to do. Wi-Fi was decent and store had a lot to offer. Site was level and power was good, but water pressure was very low, almost a trickle by the time we left. A few cable stations were available. We would not stay again unless in the area and needed to stop overnight. - mahill526
