This is a nice koa. Set up for campers with kids. River & kayaking. Great little short order grill & ice cream. Small market & store w fishing, camping supplies. A fantastic laundry room. A VERY hard rain fell flooding the campground and a wonderful woman ( employee) with rubber boots and shoulder length gray hair woke me in the morning to see if I wanted to stay. I chose to leave. Backing out of my site. She was joined by a younger woman. They stuck with me and made certain I was clear and no other campers were in danger. Nice park great employees. But without kids you might be spending foolishly. Gravel hard on dogs paws. I will stay here again. We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Motorhome.

Pros: Nice laundry room and shower/restrooms. Unfortunately it ends there. Cons: Welcoming staff not friendly at all. This campground serves food and they boast a large sign featuring hand-dipped ice cream in several flavors. But the same staff person said "We're out." We ordered dinner to be delivered to our site: broasted chicken, potato wedges, macaroni salad, and baked beans (cold). The chicken bordered on being burned; very overdone and dry! It was inedible and we threw it away. The "side" servings are not 4 ounces, they are 2 at best. Nothing was worth eating, just avoid that. Needless to say, I don't recommend this KOA. We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed 3 nights as part of a longer road trip. Nice camprground with a country store including ice cream and prepared food. Broasted chicken fans will love the reasonably priced chicken and wings. We purchased tickets for Hershey Park at the store, same price as online, and got free shuttle service to the park. The owner drove, and gave a guided tour of the area on the ride over. Very nice guy. Only complaint was the water pressure was a little low and variable, but not enough to cause a problem. I was able to use my satellite, but that would not be true for all sites. We stayed in a 43 ft motorhome and I'd stay here again. For smaller rigs, there are some nice campgrounds along the creek. We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Access is okay. Roads are dirt and gravel. Limited cable. Utilities okay. Sat TV not possible. Spotty wifi. There is a big camp store which is also a restaurant. Large off leash dog park. Other areas to walk the dog are limited due to gravel and crushed asphalt on roads and in field. The cost shown is for a premium site which provided a cement pad, two dirty chairs, a dirty table and chairs, and the dirtiest grill ever (the grease cup overran onto the tank). Large puddle of grease on the pad (shown to the guide who just shrugged). Cable was inop and had to fix the terminal. Seems the owners put their money in annual plants rather than structure. All in all would not stop here again. We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Motorhome.

Although it's right off the highway, it's overpriced for what you get. The concrete pads were cracked; campsites were dirty and not well maintained. We camped in a 38' fifth wheel. Will not return. We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

The staff at this KOA were very helpful, accommodating and nice. We had a reservation but our site was right up against the bathhouse with sparse bushes to sort of separate the site. Also a very large KOA sign attached to on the bathhouse was on 24/7 lighting up our site and many others nearby with a bright yellow glow all night. The electrical box was very rickety and unstable. Many of the sites seemed very close together. It was convenient to the hwy and easy access. We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful year round campground is close to I-81 for Snowbirds. The campground has a river running along the property. A number of sites are back in and pull through right along the river edge. Washroom and laundry building well positioned for most sites. Main building has just about everything including a good selection of meals. The staff are terrific and very helpful. Overall Rating:

We stopped here for an overnight stay in early January on our way south. The check-in staff were friendly and efficient, as was the guide that led us to our pull-through site. The utilities were well placed, although we only used the 50 amp electric service. With snow on the ground and below freezing temperatures, there isn't much I can say about the condition of the park or the facilities, although on previous visits in better weather, both have been very good. The voltage was good and stable, and our AT&T and Verizon cell services both worked well here. We didn't try the park cable TV or WiFi. There are a lot of pipeline workers in the area at all of the parks, and this one is no exception, but the park does keep many sites available for the rest of us. We will be back. We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Motorhome.

Good location for Hersey visits. Other campers told us it had been raining for days before our stay, was very wet and muddy, but on our return trip stay it was much better! Great staff and store was really well stocked. We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Motorhome.

This is a good campground for an overnight stay. It is close to I-81 and I-77. We had no difficulty with our PT site (did not unhook the tow car), but leaving would have been tight if our neighbor had not left before us. We used only the electricity while there; the wifi worked ok with an extender. We will stay here again when in the area. We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Motorhome.

My wife had difficulty in accessing their wifi and asked for help from the counter staff. The agent was very rude and simply told her to read the brochure again. We were returning to Florida after Irma and urgently needed the internet. I tried to adjust my tire air pressures and found that their "free air" pump would not exceed 60 psi. When I complained that their pump actually let air out of my 80 psi requirement tires, I was told that it was good enough for bicycle tires and that they had no intention of repairing it or even posting a sign saying that it was 60 psi maximum. They were very rude about it. Don't expect courtesy. The staff I spoke with could not care less about any problems you may experience. We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Motorhome.

Very nice family owned and operated campground that is close to I81. We were greeted by pleasant staff who checked us in in no time. We arrived early so staff checked to see if site was available. We were lead to our site and they stayed to make sure we were in and there were no problems. Sites are level gravel with concrete patio. Ours site was along a peaceful creek. Store has neat camping things but is also a convenience store and restaurant. They will deliver food to your site. There is also a gas station convenience store and a Wendy's next door. We stayed there during the RV show in Hershey. They offered a free shuttle several times a day and did not balloon their prices. The owner picked us up and checked to see if the other driver told us the history of the area. Then delivered us to our site. They are 20 minutes to Hershey, 30 minutes to Cabelas and an hour to Lancaster. They are next to a state park. There is a trail to the state park that extends to the Appalachian trail. We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Very easy on, easy off. Walking distance to fast food and convenience stores, as well as on-site restaurant (did not try). Our site was a bit strange in terms of how it lined up with others, but it was fine for one night. Service was what I would call laid back, but it was courteous and they lead you to your site. There is a creek for canoeing, but for us it was just an overnight stop. I thought it was a little pricey for the amenities offered. We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Nice overnight KOA stop right off I-81. For a quick, overnight stop this KOA has everything you need. One of the best equipped camp/grocery stores. It also has a take-out restaurant and ice cream shop for after those long haul days with a front porch that encourages relaxing and socializing. It has everything a kid could want to burn off that energy after a long day on the road - splash pad, playground. Our pull thru site had 30 amps, water, sewer and all worked as advertised. Sites are close, no privacy. Shade was prevalent throughout the campground. Would stay here again when passing through. We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Motorhome.

Wow, this KOA has everything! Ice cream shop, bike rental, bounce pad, splash park, and many other diversions. We had a creekside site that was nicely shaded. Sites are close, but we didn't feel crowded. Used as an overnight stop, and was easy access from I-81. Good gravel roads and level sites with FHU, free wifi, cable. The ice cream shop was excellent, and folks gathered on the veranda in the evening to socialize. Very good stop-over spot! We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Motorhome.
