1 Park near Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania
Aug 2015 - $42.00
We were only here for one night, and we came in with a transmission stuck in second gear! The women at the office were kind enough to let us use their landline phone to call a repair facility in Scranton (since our signal strength was not good). We were in a pull-through site, which was perfect, as we got going first thing the next day.
One comment we would make about the road to the property...it is very narrow in parts, so use care. - dbcordello

Once you get past the twisty narrow roads to get to park, lovely lakeside setting, well maintained, large grassy areas and very friendly staff and residents. We had a nice level site with easy utility connections, fair to good water pressure, good park wifi, but weak Verizon signal. - jbrucemagon

After driving on the Interstate for many hours, we were looking for a quiet place to spend the night. There is not much to choose from in this area. Clayton Park has great reviews and we decided it would be worth the extra miles to drive there off of the Interstate. You will drive along a narrow 2 lane country road with a few twists and turns. But no problem for our 45 ft motorhome and trailer. Just go slow, take it easy and enjoy the views. Clayton Park is right on Lake Ariel and has a nice waterfront. However, most of the waterfront is occupied by seasonal renters. Very obvious when you see attached decks and tool sheds. But, all of those campers and 5th wheelers are well kept and the sites and surrounding areas are very clean. In fact, they were in the midst of planting additional trees while we were there. If you want a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of city live, this is the place to stay at. They rent kayaks here and it appears to be a good place for fishing. Beware, though, they accept cash or checks, only! This is a nice park with friendly people. Highly recommended. We had a pull-through site. - Olivia Las Vegas
