This is basically a 55+ community with each home consisting of a trailer or motorhome, with accessory buildings/decks/porches/garage/etc built around it, and 15 transient sites. Most of the sites are huge and shaded. When we were here, we were the only transient unit. The place is extremely quiet, which was a relief for us after a series of "family" parks. It is not geared toward children. There is an old, worn-out set of play equipment. A paved road goes back to the shore of Lake Erie, where you can peacefully enjoy the lake and watch sunsets. NOTE: They take cash or checks only. The owners/staff were very polite and accommodating. As older adults, we loved this place. I could happily live here. Roads are asphalt in excellent condition. Sites are gravel, with healthy, green grass. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. We camped at Camp Eriez Campground in a Motorhome.

Very neat and clean, pull through sites, easy in and out, just about every site has a shade tree, no sewer but easy access dump station. Great sunsets over looking Lake Erie. Paved roads and level gravel pads. We camped at Camp Eriez Campground in a Motorhome.

Camp Eriez is a fishing village, but don't let that fool you. There are 15
pull thru sites dedicated to the overnight stays. All the access roads are black topped and the site pads are around 55' long, level, and gravel. The patio is grass. Site width is about 35' with a full grown maple tree planted mid-site for shade. Each site has a campfire ring and all the picnic tables were in great shape. The 50a power was stable, water pressure was around 45psi, there is no sewer at the site however the dump station is conveniently located. Our hotspot got a decent signal for internet purposes. Being the end of summer, some of the grass in the patio area was beaten up. We arrived after a rain storm and the sandy soil had absorbed all standing water. The campground and surrounding seasonal village is well kept and maintained. While some of the seasonal fisherman have their collection of gear, the place had a purposeful, lived in feel but was not junky. The swimming pool had just closed for the season and will undergo renovations for next year. They have a little viewing area overlooking Lake Erie equipped with benches for watching sunsets. We were pleasantly surprised with this campground and would definitely come back again. We camped at Camp Eriez Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

While you can access Lake Erie from the campground, it is a steep trail to reach the shoreline. Instead, take a drive to where Hwy 5 and 98 meet and head toward the lake. There you will find Avondia Park where you can picnic or watch a sunset from the shore. Take along some fresh fruits and veggies from Mason Farms or a bottle of wine from Godfrey Run Farm, both just down the road from the park.

I was very impressed. Friendly attendant, a large pull-through site for our 2 night stay, perfectly level, water at site and a generally friendly, safe, and quiet atmosphere made this a great stop over. One problem-we needed to use our Frank's Autoformer to boost the campground voltage from 99 to 120 to run our A/C safely. Campground abut 15 miles West of Erie. Good Verizon signal in campground for cellphones. We camped at Camp Eriez Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fresh produce/fruits about 5 miles East of campground on US 5. Fun Ice Cream shop on road too. The Erie Playhouse (downtown) was excellent and we totally enjoyed their performance. Presque Isle State Park is beautiful but crowded. Get to boat tour early for FREE pontoon boat ride through the lagoons narrated by volunteer. Great beaches. Erie Maritime Museum is nice - big draw is the war of 1812 and sailing ship battles. Worth seeing! You'll learn where "Don't give up the ship" came from !

OK park. Nice people. Good stopover. Easy to navigate for overnight stay or longer. Things are close. No problems. 50 amps was truly 50 amps, unlike some other recent parks which did not deliver either true 50 or enough actual power (volts) to run the electronics--which can actually kill your appliances if not enough volts! We camped at Camp Eriez Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed in a pull-through section for short-timers. Electrical and water were good; no sewer hook-up. Site was level and we had lots of space around us. Pretty CG; if you walk down through the park models, there is a path that takes you down to Lake Erie - not much beach but fun to visit. A bit pricey for no sewer - we did not have a Good Sam card. Verizon aircard was fine. Lots of nice places to walk the dog. We camped at Camp Eriez Campground in a Travel Trailer.

What i liked it we were not too near the seasonals and the ones that were near were pretty friendly. The grounds were clean and so was the site. The site included a fire ring and picnic both in nice shape. This place was quiet during the day and at night. They are winding down their season, closing this weekend or next maybe that is why. Will stay here again off season looks like it may be crowded in season. We camped at Camp Eriez Campground in a Truck Camper.

This appears to be mostly a camp for fisherman but there is a section set aside for overnighters that filled up. Gravel sites are level and shady with grass in between. Utilities worked well and TV worked with antenna. Beautiful views of the lake up on the hill and a difficult path to climb down to the beach. There is a rope the last 10 feet to assist you. Nice clubhouse serves breakfast and supper. Pool was closed. 8 miles off highway. Cash or checks, no credit cards. Good stopover. We camped at Camp Eriez Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a large campground right on Lake Erie but there are only 15 long, level, shaded pull-thru sites for overnight stays. We had originally planned this for just a one-night stop on our way to Ohio but it was such a nice campground, we decided to stay the extra day and explore Erie, PA. They do have seasonal sites for anyone that might want to make this area their "summer" home and the seasonal residents are friendlier than we've met elsewhere. There is a lot to see and do in this area...fishing in Lake Erie, the Maritime Museum (and lots of other sights) in Erie, and biking/hiking/picnicing/driving along Presque Isle. The campground hosts are very friendly and helpful; showers clean; roads wide; sites long, shaded and level; walking distance to the lake. We would definitely recommend this campground to others who want to spend a night to a week or longer in the Erie/Lake Erie area. We camped at Camp Eriez Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
