23 Parks near Lewisberry, Pennsylvania
Jul 2016 - $30.00
Typically small tree-lined sites as we have come to expect in state parks. This is to say they are a bit on the short side, and for the most part satellite-unfriendly. Our campsite was electric only. The bathhouse and restrooms were clean, and it appeared the camp hosts and state park personnel do a very fine job of maintaining this campground. We were in the area to visit friends, therefore did not take advantage of this state park's many offerings. - CO2RV
May 2016 - $43.00
We booked site 266 (full hookups) for a six night stay in May. We really like the Pennsylvania State Parks but there is some room for improvement. The sites 266-270 were electric sites "converted" to include water and sewer, the problem is the sewer hookup is almost at the middle to front side of the campsite, make sure you bring along extra sewer hose! All other utilities worked very well. Drainage of the above sites was great, we had some rain and there was no puddling or mud. The above sites are a mix of gravel and grass, mostly open with a tree line to the back. Bathrooms are across the street and were minimally cleaned each day. Note that the sites 241-247 might be a little hard to back in if you have a longer truck and trailer. The park offers many activities like hiking, fishing, kayaking and cycling. There are racks that you can lock up your kayaks or canoes that are close to the water. If you like the outdoors you will love this park. We would return. - bug512
Oct 2015 - $30.00
Typical PA state park as far as services. RV sites are mostly electric only. There are about a half dozen full service sites, but they are making more. The park has a lot of self directed activities to do. Camp hosts are friendly and helpful but at times a little over zealous. Rangers too. But we'll be back because the scenery is fantastic! - Mike Opteris
Sep 2016 - $65.00
We stayed for 6 weeks, first site was a pull through, extremely unlevel (507) with absolutely no 'living' area outside except for the picnic table and fire pit. We had to move to a back in site (603) due to amount of reservations during the Hershey RV Show. That site was pretty unlevel too. Our biggest complaint was that for both sites, dumping was UPHILL, seriously frustrating. The biggest compliment is that the staff is amazing. The monthly rate was $775 plus electric, and our electric was less than $60. During the summer, known to have brownouts, and on site 603, we lost a leg on the 50 amp. Cable was decent, but we weren't able to use our satellite in either spot. Wifi was okay, but not steady enough to 'stream' (I like Pandora, their wifi couldn't handle that). There is a huge 'dog area' but it would be more helpful to have it fenced in. I'm not sure we'd stay here again if there were other places available, but with the RV show, vacancies were difficult to come by. - DaBlairs
Sep 2016 - $55.00
We stayed here 4 nights. The first night was $65 - it was the day after Labor Day and they consider that part of the holiday weekend. The staff is very friendly, the sites are gravel (but not level), shaded, and well spaced. The bathrooms are clean and roomy. They have free ice available. It is close to the interstate, but we did not have a problem with noise. The cable and wi-fi worked great. - Capt.Deb
Aug 2016 - $65.00
Nice, clean CG with easy access to Interstate. Our 50 amp, FHU, pull-thru site was gravel with lots of shade. The whole CG has trees for shade. Our site took a little work to level. Enough space between sites to sit outside. Sites near Interstate were quite noisy. Ours was near office, so noise not a bother inside or out. WiFi was excellent as was cable. Good Verizon cell service. Friendly, efficient check-in. Lots of shopping/restaurants nearby. Close to downtown Harrisburg and easy drive to Hershey. Lancaster about 45 minutes. We would stay here again. - Gayle E.
Jun 2016 - $19.00
nice little rv park, off the beaten path, but a good value, especially if a PassportAmerica member - easy backin sites, full hookups at most, with many 'campground' type sites also near the creek, in the woods.
good Wifi and laundry - the path through can be tight, with most vehicle parking along the path, and several partially into the path, but it's not a large park to navigate - also a nice setting for a stay in Southern Pennsylvania, near Gettysburg, Harrisburg, and Hershey. - hturnerfamily
Nov 2015 - $18.00
33 sites, most for permanent campers. With a 32 feet 5th wheel we only had 2 available sites with full hookups (not big rig friendly).
Would not stay here again except if we had no other choice.
No access to washrooms or showers. They only take Credit Cards, no cash. Good for 1 night to go visit Hershey, PA - Liz & Bob
Nov 2015 - $18.00
Stayed twice at this campground...once on the way down south and, two weeks later, on the way back north. Mix of seasonal and weekender campers. Full hookups at all sites, nice washrooms with showers, very clean and well setup laundry room and pleasant and professional staff. Came in after hours but the office had left very clear instructions as to what to do. Would definitely stay here again. - Ab and Cindy
Sep 2015 - $50.00
One of the most attractive campgrounds we have ever stayed at. Rolling hills and lots of grass...Many permanent sites, well maintained and manicured. Transient sites clean and level mixed in make it very attractive. We stayed here in a motorhome. A car is necessary as you are several miles from attractions. - deacon_1
Jul 2015 - $50.00
Stayed here one night. New management from what I gather and they're not friendly. Wish we wouldn't have stayed. Lots of seasonal sites, some good some bad. Packed beside a trailer and their beagle barked and barked. Asked the owners if they could put it inside and they told us no, the dog likes it outside. People working there didn't seem to know the area when we were asking questions about how to get here and there. Only good thing was we were able to flush our tanks out really well and do our laundry. - Leon Condor
Jul 2014 - $47.00
All opinions are based on perspective. My perspective was from that of a tent camper. Bath house was a long walk from tent sites, dimly lit and very rustic. Pool bathrooms were disgusting. Friday/Saturday night activities were loud and ran late so don't expect quiet camping. Don't plan on eating meals at the snack shop. The little bit that we did order was not high quality. Tent sites very large and spaced out nicely. Camp grounds (not the bathrooms) are kept very orderly and clean. Fishing lake is nice. Camp staff is friendly (if you don't include the 2 adults that were arguing in the main office when my 10 yr old son walked in. Saying F---- wasn't needed. Pet friendly. Bottom Line: Not worth the $40 / night (plus $7/ day extra since I have a family of 5). That is $7 a day so for my three night stay it was an extra $28. - Clem94
Oct 2016 - $65.00
We stayed in a long pull thru site, with friends beside us in the next site. Both were very unlevel.Sites were gravel. Utilities worked good. There was free Wi Fi, which we did not use. While we enjoyed the quiet, we were surprised to find no activities for the kids that you would normally get at KOAs. There were no planned activities the entire weekend.Firewood was avaialable , but expensive at over 7$ a bundle. - mahill526
Sep 2016 - $66.00
Pricey, but very well kept campground, great dog park. Roads are mostly gravel as are sites, very close together, but well laid out. - User3238
Sep 2016 - $55.00
Sites are nice and overall the physical aspects of the park are nice. However, the staff is very rude. Rules for visitors are ridiculous and it very over priced. It really is nothing more than a place to park with hookups. Family in the area came to pick us up and show us around and were "informed" they must pay $6 per person to drive to our site and pick us up. That is $6 per person each day we are here. Will never stay here again and will do our best to never stay at a KOA again as they are all overpriced. - kenlea98
Apr 2012 - $30.00
I love this park. Beautiful views and some of the nicest people I ever met. Everyone treats you like family, The owner goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We had spot 57 which Is by far the best site there, right by the falls. Great fishing, ducks, wild rabbits, deer, and we even saw a mink. New showers and bathrooms, plenty of hot water, green grass that's kept very nice. Really, I can't say enough good things about this park. I wish we could have stayed longer. I understand the bridge is new so if you had heard the bridge couldn't withstand certain weights, that's no longer true. I don't know why this park isn't packed every weekend; except maybe its Dover' s best kept secret. We looked at all campgrounds near here and this one is top notch. - gypsysoul
May 2008 - $25.00
Beautiful scenery...the bathroom facilities were unacceptable. There were wild rabbits running all around this place...even through the big puddles that were created when it rained. The man staffing the office was really nice and helpful. There is also a newspaper article hanging in the office about how the campground needed to be evacuated a few years back due to both creeks cresting their banks...interesting story, but questionable marketing practice to have it hanging in the office. - Dan Holdt
Apr 2008 - $30.00
We stayed here when we visited hershey Park. The sites are grassy and a little hilly. They are close together with no buffer. Some of the tent sites are very close to the highway so request one not near the mini golf. The kids loved the mini golf even though it was a little run down. They also loved walking to the camp store and buying .25 ice creams. The store is well stocked with anything you may have left at home. We did not use the showers but the bathrooms were okay. Nothing great. They are centrally located. There is no hot water in the bathrooms. Each site comes with a fire ring and a picnic table. - mastro
Sep 2016 - $1.00
Large, grassy spaces with plenty of room for chaise and awnings. Spaces with no shade, partial shade, and full shade available. Wifi is Tengo and pretty much worthless. My AT&T hotspot worked fine, but had to go outside RV for phone calls. Plenty for kids, playground, large pool, farm animals and room to ride bikes and run around. Park is well maintained, roads are gravel with no ruts or potholes, spaces are paved with gravel and dirt. Maybe 40% of spaces are filled with permanent or seasonal campers, but still plenty of space available for shorter period campers. Very nice place, we'll come here again. - westwill3
Aug 2016 - $1.00
The rate was actual $0 which reflects are TT elite membership.
The place has a farm-like feel, from all the animals to some of the vegetables they grow. The grounds are well maintained. The pool is in dire need of replacing. The water was clean, but there's missing tiles and cracks everywhere. The sites are easy to get into, with plenty of 50amp sites. The power goes out about everyday, but not for long. The people working here are friendly and helpful. I would definitely return if in the area. - Travelinlady
Aug 2016 - $3.00
We are thrilled with this campground. Everything is so well maintained. Sites are sufficient. Easy to back in as they are on a slant. Can't find a thing to complain about. - phyllen

Sep 2016 - $99.00
Our third stay at Hershey Park Campground, first time not staying in Carousel Circle and loved it even though the train noise was more noticeable this trip. Check in was quick and easy as you didn't even have to enter the building as they had someone by the road as you entered. Site 1 was a little tight side to side due to slope of hill but we made it work. Shuttles to Hershey Park/Chocolate World were great as usual. Re-booked for same weekend again before we left. - SJEAGLES609
Aug 2016 - $75.00
We stayed in the carrousel circle; they really scram you in as most private campgrounds. It was difficult to maneuver, but we didn't have anyone next to us which was really nice. The sites were shady, did not hear to train while sleeping, but we had the air conditioning on both nights. We were able to check in early, no questions asked. Pool was very nice and clean, not much for playground equipment. The shuttle was wonderful, pricey but so convenient. Internet was great! Would definitely stay here again. - dalebonnie
Aug 2016 - $79.00
Very tight sites. We did not even attempt to have a campfire because our fire ring was right up against our neighbors rig. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Shuttle bus to Hershey was excellent, ran constantly, air conditioned and courteous drivers. Pool was nice and had lifeguards that actually took their job seriously . - usmc616
Sep 2016 - $35.00
We called a day ahead to ensure they had a site for us. When we arrived we were assigned a W/E site in the open "field" in the center of the park.
Staff were friendly and accommodating. Certainly the price was right, but I had hoped we'd have had a full service site (for the same price).
The sites in the "field" are a bit up and down, but it wasn't difficult to level our TT.
Dump "station" is a small site on the perimeter road, not a proper dump station with water and an area to wash down any spills from dumping. It was okay but a larger rig might have trouble getting to the site. - DCM/JMB
Aug 2016 - $35.00
Parked 44 ft motorhome on grass/gravel; nice clean park and owners are on ground and courteous. asphalt roads inside park, and narrow. We had FHU; Not an excellent park, but good price and convenient to shopping and attractions and clean. They are gradually improving. - ritag
Jul 2016 - $32.00
A basic affordable park in a very convenient location for exploring York. The restrooms/showers were new, modern and very clean individual rooms. There were some permanent units, some better than others. The WIFI worked for us and we got several OTA TV stations. Our firepit was full of garbage and we did not have a picnic table. Our site was grass & dirt. Highway noise was significant, but otherwise the park was quiet and peaceful. Personnel were very pleasant! Pull-throughs look pretty uneven. We would stay again if in the area as it is affordable and in a good location. - R&S
Sep 2016 - $58.00
Run down park capitalizing on it's excellent location. Almost impossible to level in a park like this. Had to disconnect water because there was so much air in their pipes. Everything is in a state of disrepair. The electricity worked! - Todd Fogelberg
Oct 2015 - $52.00
Location is the best part of this campground. Although the price is comparable to others in the area, it is not comparable when compared to what is provided. The campground is in much need of upgrade. Stuff is falling apart everywhere. The office/store looks terrible...lots of junk lying around office. I have to agree with another review of this campground - the best way to describe the restrooms/showers is "gross"! They are filthy, full of bugs, broken down, in need of paint and in downright sorry condition. Lots were uneven and were a combination of grass and spotty patches gravel. Manager appeared to be the office clerk and maintenance guy at the same time since things are so rundown and we never saw any employees. - Vince & Charlette
Jun 2015 - $55.00
We stayed her last Labor Day and end of May 2015, so we knew what to expect for the most part. Both times were to attend an event at Hershey. The people that work there are very nice.
The location is good for Hershey as its only 20 minutes away. The location to Lancaster and Harrisburg, both about 45 minutes is decent. On our most recent visit the park was almost empty when we arrived, so it was quiet. The site we were in was the same as last year, and is large enough to fit our 38' and toad. The hook ups are in the middle rear and split to 4 sites so be prepared with extra hose, or power cord. This visit, the pool was closed, even though it was after Memorial Day, the tennis / basket ball courts were filled with picnic tables. This is a home base for Hershey if you have low expectations. It is a short drive from Rt 283 so if traveling the Harrisburg / Lancaster area, it's easy on and off. At $55 a night, it's an expensive stop. - htowners
