We stayed 2 nights for the Hershey RV show. Easy to get to from the interstate. It was a last minute decision so the park was very full. The extremely nice staff gentleman that met us at the gate and took us on a golf cart to all the site options that were still available to us was very helpful and kind. We picked a site that was easy to get in and out of. To be able to hook up to sewer we had to place our 5er so close to the side of the road that we were not able to extend our awning. The park needs lots of updating and maintenance. I did not go into the bathrooms or showers but my husband said I would not use them. Two of the showers were broke and in need of some serious cleaning. Our first night there we heard constant gun range shooting until past 8pm. There are quite a few of permanent sites and a few looked pretty "interesting" to say the least. The sites that had more privacy did not have sewer hook up but did have electric and water. Getting our RV in some of those sites with all the overhanging trees and tight turns would of been not worth the hassle for only 2 nights. I was grateful that we found a campsite on such short notice for the RV show but would not return there to camp again. We camped at PA Dutch Country Campground, Outdoor World in a Fifth Wheel.

Very small spots in F section. We we so close to camper next to us that we could smell their sewer. I should have taken it as a warning when the ranger ask me how many blocks we had with us when we got there. No level spots and no way we had enough blocking. Weeds even in flower beds taller than us. And shooting nearby all day all weekend. Picnic table at site was black from weather. We will not use this campground again. We camped at PA Dutch Country Campground, Outdoor World in a Travel Trailer.

We just stayed here for the weekend and had a great experience. From the start the staff was very helpful. The check-in was a bit different then usual as they drove us around the park so we could pick our site. The gentlemen showed us about 10 sites and we finally settled on a site that we thought was great for our needs. The site was large and we had a lot of privacy. The bathrooms and showers were very clean which is always a big thing for us. There was a lot to do during our stay. We will definitely put this campground on our good list!!! Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $4.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed in this park because it was a TT park and only one we could get into over the 4th of July weekend. There may be a half dozen sites in this park that are anywhere close to being level. There are motor homes and trailers at sites with 12" to 20" of blocking under one end or the other. The site we were in F6 was so narrow that I could almost not put the slides out. It had about a 3' drop from back to front, could not get the coach close to level front to rear. Very few sites are able to get satellite service, got about 8 channels OTA and cell service was good. The site had a table and fire ring but there was no way you could use it because there was not enough room.

There are a few sites that are fairly good, try and get F23, 25, 27 or F 36. The roads if you can call them that, are really narrow, tight turns, trees and vehicles everywhere, was fun with a 44' motor home. Would not consider ever staying here again. We camped at PA Dutch Country Campground, Outdoor World in a Motorhome.

Badly in need of good management. Tree branches are hanging over the road and unable to maneuver around them. Weeds were nearly as high as the water spigots. Gravel was near nonexistent. Stayed 7 days and never witnessed anyone doing any maintenance on any of the sites or trimming back trees over the roads. Level sites were not really available. Make sure you take boards. The pool looked nice from the road, but we did not use it. The check in was confusing and even though I had a reservation, I had to wait for the person scooping ice cream to check me in. The clerk couldn't find my reservation. Will not return, though the location to Lancaster and Hershey are great. We camped at PA Dutch Country Campground, Outdoor World in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Strasburg Rail Museum, train ride, Amish Buggy Ride were great! About 30 minutes away and well worth the trip. As was late lunch, early dinner at the Good and Plenty Restaurant. Bring your appetite, because the food will keep coming! The Cornwall Furnace tour and Union Canal boat ride also fantastic. About 15 minutes away and you can drive up Boyd Street and see the miners homes (now private residences) built by the company for the workers.

As with most Thousand Trails parks this one also is in need of upgrades. This summer seems to be filled with pipe line workers which take up a lot of sites and also room in the parking lots with extra vehicles and utility trailers, not bashing them just stating a fact I know they are trying to make a living, just makes it harder for members to get a site. Also loud trucks leaving in the wee hours of the morning makes it hard to sleep for the light sleepers. Yes the campground is in need of upgrades but if corporate doesn't send money their hands are tied. Sites in big need of grading and new stone as many are not level or water run off has created gullies which make it hard to use some sites. Park as potential just needs upgrades. One plus is very strong water pressure. We camped at PA Dutch Country Campground, Outdoor World in a Fifth Wheel.

We called for reservations the day before. When we got there, we had to walk up to the office to get a gate pass number so we could get in. My husband drove around to find a site suitable. The lady at the office gave us a new pass code to get back in when we left. Since we didn't bring a "toad," to go into see "Sampson," we drove to see it in our Motohome. Upon arrival back to the park, our pass code didn't work. After going to three different places near the office, my wife found a gentleman who drove her back to the gate. We used his "number" to get in. It was a nightmare. We camped at PA Dutch Country Campground, Outdoor World in a Motorhome.

Price reflects non-thousand trails member price. This is a well kept park manned by a friendly helpful staff. Park appears to have been designed in the 60's at the heyday of the 12 foot travel trailer. I counted 6 pull through sites. Site slope is pretty extreme on most of the sites. Wi-Fi is available for $6 per day. Thought that was pretty pricey, so we did not partake. Campground is very close to the PA Renaissance Faire, and this was the criteria for choosing it. I will give one of the others in the area a try next time. We camped at PA Dutch Country Campground, Outdoor World in a Motorhome.

Good park, however very limited spots that can support Dish or DirecTV. We asked to have our fire pit "Cleaned out", and within 15 min a staff member appeared and cleaned out the debris. The only reason we rated the park a "9" was because of the TV reception. We also noticed 5 or 6 spots reserved for handicapped use, which we thought was very good. Will stay here again in the future. Site was back in, FHU, 50amp, shaded, no cable we got TV on antenna. Picnic Table, grill & fire pit. Playground, pool, laundry. No dog run but plenty of places to walk. Seasonal sites were neat. For the Hershey show, they had you inspect sites with a worker in a golf cart. We camped at PA Dutch Country Campground, Outdoor World in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed on a Passport America Rate od $24.50 per night. We chose this park as we needed two nights before starting a one month stay in the area for the Hershey RV show and teaching RV inspector classes.

The staff was most accommodating. Unlike other Thousand Trail parks where you have to drive around and find a site, we were given a golf cart ride to look at a site before moving the RV out of the registration area.

The park was not too busy as it was after the Labor Day weekend, but we were appreciative of the customer service provided here.

There are a lot of sites on the park that require careful consideration in order to level your RV. We had the front of our RV a foot off the ground in order to get it level. Be sure to have leveling blocks to keep your RV tires from hanging off the ground if in a motorhome pointing downhill.

RV services were fine except for the morning that we left and I unplugged from the electrical pedestal, the plug was very warm and slightly melted. We had very few electrical appliances on through the night. We camped at PA Dutch Country Campground, Outdoor World in a Motorhome.

This is not one of our member Thousand Trails park so they gave us a discount from their normal rate. They desk called a man with a golf cart and suggested several sites for us. We were lucky enough to find a pull through with 50 amp and full hookups. Park was very clean and close to many attractions. It was quiet. We were unable to use the satellite due to the trees. I would stay here again and recommend it to others. We camped at PA Dutch Country Campground, Outdoor World in a Fifth Wheel.

We are staying here free as part of a package from Lazy Days, so I don't know the real rates. I cannot say enough about how nice the people are here....Kirt has been here 14 years and he is a true ambassador. He drove my husband around in the golf cart because they usually tell you to go find a spot. We didn't want to do that because of our long rig. We found a spot in the E section where the cabins are, and even though it wasn't very level, it's very nice...50 amp, good water, sewer and plenty of room. They have a beautiful pool, but wish it was heated. Some girls told us it was really cold so we didn't go in. There is a shooting range, and you hear it, but we don't mind people exercising their rights to bear arms, just hope it quiets after dark. We rode the motorcycle around the countryside and this place is gorgeous! And for bikers, the Iron Valley Harley store is almost across the street. We will definitely stay here again in our 38' fifth wheel toyhauler...level or not, it's very nice here! Almost forgot, no cable, but we got 17 channels on our antenna and we had 5 bars with our Verizon. We're extending our stay another night to enjoy this area and campground. We camped at PA Dutch Country Campground, Outdoor World in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects TT membership. Nice campground with a good staff. Sites are a little tight and not very level. Yes, there is noise from a gun club nearby but I got used to it and also from the highway but we have heard worse. As with most TT parks they need work in just about everything, the park would be a lot better with upgrades. Will return, We camped at PA Dutch Country Campground, Outdoor World in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is with Ready-Camp-Go. Park location: -- Great for exploring Amish Country and Hershey. -- Some noise from the gun range but only during the day. Sites: -- most were not level (we had to use boards as well as leveling jacks) and utilities required long cords/hoses. -- Hard to get satellite reception as it is very woodsy. Amenities: -- Mostly paved roads - narrow, but passable for our large Class A. -- Restrooms clean and good water pressure for showers. -- Pool closed Labor Day even though it was almost 90 deg and the pool was still full/clean. -- Nice mini-Golf area. We would stay again. We camped at PA Dutch Country Campground, Outdoor World in a Motorhome.
