Campground is dated. Bathrooms absolutely need an update. We were there simply because it was the closest campground to the Hershey area that wasn't booked. Sewer connections ran uphill from the trailer. Site was nowhere close to level. We wouldn't go again. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We made our reservation Sep 13, 2017 online for Thanksgiving 2017. The online reservation program and Pinch Ponds own website made no mention of water being turned off for winter. We thought we would have full hook-ups as stated on the reservation confirmation. Even when we arrived, the staff didn't mention that the water had been turned off. We didn't know there was no water until after the RV was leveled, slides were out and I went to hook up the water. I completely understand the need to turn off the water and winterize certain areas of campgrounds - that is certainly not the issue. The issue is that we were not notified ahead of time. The staff was able to run a hose to our site so that we could fill our tank. We made the best of it and didn't let it ruin our Thanksgiving. As far as the Campground goes, it has a mixture of seasonal and nonseasonal. Some of the seasonal sites are rundown and messy. Our site was sloped to driver's side and we had to put the wheels on blocks to get the auto level to work properly. Trash dumpster was overflowing. Office/store building was nice, but other buildings were run down and in need of repair. Most likely will not return due to inadequate communication from the staff, noise from I-76 and an adjoining shooting range (even Thanksgiving day, range was active). We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here because it was between Hershey and Lancaster. The access was easy and the site was level. As mentioned before the next door shooting range was annoying but we would stay there again. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a nice family campground. The layout can be confusing due to the number of roads and the fact that there are 3-4 camping areas. There are many long-term campers and many campsites under construction. The upper pull-thru sites are very nice and reasonably level. The 'woods' sites are a bit tricky to access. The restroom near the office could use some updating. The showers are separate free-standing units separated by curtains only. The new restroom and shower area nearest the road is very nice but the showers themselves are not very spacious. The office/store is well-stocked. There are a lot of activities available for every age group. The roads could use some attention due to washed-out areas. There is plenty of shade for most campsites. It is relatively close to all the area attractions. It is close to the Pennsylvania Pike but there is little highway noise. Would return if we were in the area again. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is a mixture of seasonal and nonseasonal. Some of the seasonal sites are really rundown and cluttered. The site was sloped 4 degrees to driver's side but was able to level. Was given a site that was supposed to allow satellite but did not, however cable was excellent and 77 channels. The camp store, everything was 50% higher than the last campground we stayed. Probably will not return due to noise from I-76 and an adjoining shooting range. There is very little grass, most of the sites are covered in fine gravel. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Large park, mostly empty, as this is early Spring. Very friendly and helpful staff. Site gravel, mostly level. many pull-thru's. Nice table and fire pit. Cable was best since leaving home. Some residential sites. Roads easily maneuverable for large rigs towing. Probably 30 minutes from Hershey. Arrived on Sunday. Gun range nearby. lasted to about 4PM. Monday shooting started about 9. One of our dogs, did not like the shooting. Other than that, happy with park. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Spent 3 days here. Overall good layout of the CG. Site is pull-through and easy to access. Place to park tow vehicle. Staff is friendly. The CG is well maintained. great proximity to Amish country/Lancaster. Nice views of woods. Only negative, which there is nothing that can be done about, is the noise from the PA Turnpike. Most of the time it's just a low droning noise. Occasionally, there is a loud truck. Will definitely stay here again when we return to the area. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We did not have reservations but called same day and got a site. They have two campgrounds about a mile apart and our GPS initially brought us to the wrong one. Very easy pull through sites. Unlike other reviewers we had no problems with the gates, the sewer, or noise from the shooting range. However the neighbors were a bit noisy until midnight. They have cable hookup if you want that. Convenient to the Renaissance Fair - 5 minute drive. The kind maintaince guy let me use his compressor for a low tire and even helped me set it up. This is a charming place with great potential. Pros: Staff were super courteous, on top of everything and very hospitable. Nicely stocked and clean camp store. Cons: Wifi is nonexistent except by payment to third party and coverage is only near the store. Turnpike noise is very, very obvious, and sometimes overwhelming, particularly if outside your rv. Permanently seasonal sites are not attractive at all. Most are not kept neat, cleaned or maintained. Many look like a shanty town with unregulated building of scrap materials attached to them. The adjacent gun range noise is more tolerable than the Turnpike, but during our stay on Saturday night at 12:35 am, someone decided to practice on the range with their semi-automatic rifle, shooting about 20-30 rounds. Not cool at all! Overall it met our requirements for a weekend visit with our daughter in college, but was not peaceful nor quiet. Sorry Pinch Pond. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Our site was in a new area and the sewer connection was too high. We had to ask to have it cut down. All hookups worked fine. We had a roomy area without being on top of our neighbors. A nearby shooting range was very loud. The campground is gated with keycard entry. The laundry room was large and clean and reasonably priced. There is NO wifi available at the campsite. Although we did not swim in it, the pool looked very inviting. Looks of trees and shrubs makes things feel very outdoorsy. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Although the staff was courteous and helpful, and we appreciated the escort to our site, the campground itself was a disappointment. A dilapidated permanent park model was the first thing we saw on our way in. The sewer hookup at our site appeared to be missing a piece that would have allowed our connection to be screwed in, so we had to hold our hose in place with several large rocks that were "handily" placed next to it. The site was very steep and we were unable to ever get the trailer level. Once we were settled in, we were startled the next morning by the sound of gunfire, which was from a private gun club that sounded very close to us. Adding to the noise was the fact that directly adjacent to our site several pieces of construction equipment were being used to clear a site for more trailers. Also, there was a constant low hum from the interstate highway directly below us, which by itself, would not have been too much of a bother. Had we not intended to spend most of the days with local friends, we would have left after the first night. In addition, although it was advertised as a gated community, the gate was up two of the three days we stayed. Despite the friendliness of the staff, we would not stay there again. Note to Garmin GPS users- our Garmin directed us PAST Exit 266 (Lancaster-Lebanon) as we came from the east on I-76W/PA Turnpike and onto a nearby unmarked access road. This road would have led directly into the campground but for the fact that it is for emergency vehicles only and is chained off. The next exit is seventeen miles (and seventeen miles back) to take exit 266- and to pay the toll twice! We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

As some have said before the showers are very tight. Sites were good but you do get noise from the Pa Turnpike and the gun range next door. Staff very helpful and see they are adding new sites behind the store, looks to be all pull-through. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed at this campground for a month while manning booths at the Hershey PA RV Show and holding an advanced RV Inspector training class at this facility. The staff and management were very accommodating! The maintenance guys were also very helpful!

The sites are mostly level, electrical service was fine, sewer service was located appropriately and had no issues with it, and water was okay, but pressure could be low depending on the time of day. They are on a well system. If you want a good shower just have water in your tank and give the pressure a boost with your water tank's pump.

There is significant noise from the tollway which is adjacent to the park. Not too big a deal but bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. It least it's not train whistles!

Also, there is a gun club next door that you will hear. Starting at 9 AM and continuing towards evening there may be periodic gunfire.

There is plenty of room to navigate this park as long as others there do not have their vehicles parked on the road. Most of the time you will be escorted to your site so there is assistance in getting you parked. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Altho the staff was friendly and very helpful, felt we were being nickeled and dimed for any service. Wifi was extra and expensive, and only worked outside office. How can the owners promote family campground with all the extra charges. We had just traveled cross the US and this was first campround where people, Wifi and guests were charged extra. Too many tight spaces. Will not return. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
