If you like to camp on top of others, then come here. Tight spots! Only plus is access to river. No pool, no playground, etc. Gravel site surface and mostly shady lots. We camped at River Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground isn't your typical, or even really focused on being a campground. Their main order of business is renting equipment and doing river tours. Staff here were friendly and helpful, but that was the only thing I can recommend about it.

Pulling into the grounds was nerve wracking as there is a large dip at the end of the driveway and a sharp turn, meant that we went through the dip one tire at a time with a lot of leaning and swaying and cupboards flying open, even with our CHF. Our site, #113, was actually part of the parking lot. The approach to pull in the spot was skinny with sharp turns and nerve wracking, not motor home friendly. The site were terribly uneven. Our jacks wouldn't auto level saying it was too far out of level. One motor home there was sitting on a block that was tall enough to use as a stool! The sites were water and 30 amp power, with a dump station available. Leaving was the absolute WORST. I thought for sure we were tipping over, you can't see approaching traffic well, I spent a good bit of time picking up and closing cabinets after we stopped rocking. I'd love to come back and spend more time acquainting myself with the area, but at a different campground. We camped at River Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Milford and Dingman were both cute little towns with lots going on.

Dingman had a carnival going in their awesome little park, and also offered bumper boats and had a stable for trail riding.

Milford was a pretty little town with lots of shopping and restaraunts without being to big or to "chain."

The sites were level, but very close to others. The hook ups were centrally located. The showers had plenty of hot water, were clean, just old. The entrance had several low hanging branches that hit the top of the RV. We camped at River Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Did not have high expectations for this park and I was right. We chose it for an overnight because of advertised wifi and cable TV. There was NO wifi at our rig... about 150 ft. from the office. "Connected but NO INTERNET" was the message we received on two devices and on the office porch as well. What is also not mentioned is that there is not much phone service here either so you can't use your data plan.

OK...so we'll just watch the cable news on TV and go to bed. NOPE. Not a single cable news channel in the bunch they offer. Also all are digital channels so if you have an older rig...you won't be getting any...the nice lady at the front desk warned us about this...but she was surprised there was no CNN, MSNBC, HLN, FoxNews or Bloomberg.

It was pouring rain when we got there...site was a nice pull through in a wooded section... but it was a mix of mud and gravel. 30 amp service ONLY available and no FHU. Won't be back. We camped at River Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The major business here is trips by canoe on the Delaware River...Walmart is a couple of miles east on the same road...saw a few big rigs parked there. May be the best option in town.

This park is good for an overnight stay, if you are planning to visit Milford or Port Jervis, or if you want to recreate on the river. The spaces are tightly packed and the place is very busy. It was a bit tight getting into my spot as they had cones to block off an area that I needed to swing around to get in--and I am just 24 ft. The other spots look easy enough to get into. The site was not level but not too bad. My Verizon worked well. We camped at River Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Two charming places to eat in Milford are the Milford Diner and the Water Wheel Cafe--the latter has a little store next door (and up the stairs) that has some unique gift items, souvenirs and local food food items like jams, honey etc. Had some fabulous home made fudge--she said she had just made it. Also must see Gray Towers National Historic Site in Milford. You can walk the grounds and for a modest fee get a tour and a history lesson inside the mansion.

Its just a parking lot for overnighters. We walked back into the true camping area and there were plenty of folks there, but it appears crowded also. The staff was great. The first site they gave us wasn't big enough and thankfully they were able to relocate us into a better spot. Definitely had to unhook to get into it. Lots of people and cars on the weekend because of the river activities. We were afraid we'd be blocked in so we left really early in the morning. Its about the only game in town so its ok for an overnight stay if needed. We camped at River Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

The only good thing I can say about this park is that the staff were friendly and helpful. Other than that to call this place a rv park is a joke. There was NO space or privacy at all. You are parked on top of each other. Some spots you couldn't tell the difference between the parking lot and the camp site. Also , if it was any closer to the highway you would be sitting on the shoulder of the road. I guess if you have children and are into canoeing , rafting , paintball , and arcades the place is ok. But we wouldn't recommend this place and will never go back. We camped at River Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a convenient stop for an overnight on 209 or off 84. Nothing fancy. This is primarily a base for Kitatinny Canoe tours. There are many tent sites and a small number of pull through RV sites with W/E/C. Water and electric were very good. Cable is digital, so if you only have an analog set, bring a book. (There are no over the air antenna channels). WiFi was very weak, but did manage to check e-mail. The staff are wonderful and welcoming. We would stay here again. We had a large pull through level dirt/gravel site surrounded by grass. The one-two night stays are in the sites that get very muddy when it rains, which a little bit of gravel would solve. This is a spot for canoing and tubing the river, so we were not surprised bathrooms were dirty on a Sunday but the cleaning supplies sitting outside had not been used by late the next morning. WiFi was OK if you went to the store. Very convenient to interstate (and for heading down the Delaware Water Gap). Huge place with lots of tent sites - great for walking the dog. Our Golden swam in the river. It is an OK place for one night traveling. We camped here in a fifth wheel. We camped at River Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a disgusting place! However, there is just no other place to stay off Route 84 in this area. It’s muddy, buggy, and the bathhouse is filthy. We camped at River Beach Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The people who worked here were really friendly and helpful. We spent 3 days there and felt very at home. They were doing repairs on the restrooms, and even the repairmen were very nice. We spent the entire summer traveling from place to place, but these people stood out as some of the friendliest staff of our summer. We camped at River Beach Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed one night. We wanted a place close to I-81. This fit the need, but it is pretty rustic. Sites are level but are dirt and grass. It was rainy so the place was pretty muddy; not so much so that we made ruts, but is was messy. I suppose if you want to canoe or kayak, this is a great place. I'd recommend it for an overnight stay. Just arrive when it is daylight so you can pick a decent spot. Oh: and beware of the narrow entrance. There are some low branches and I did a double-take at the entrance, wondering if it was wide enough; but there was plenty of room. We camped at River Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

The park charges per person, which is interesting. Restrooms were cleaned every day. My spot was muddy when it rained. Lots of road noise, but that is about the only negative (and I don't mind road noise personally). Right on the river. Very nice workers. We camped at River Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground happened to be very convenient to us. The site was level and big enough for our 41' w/toad. Their main business is tube and canoe rental. The place was busy until about 6PM. It was very basic no sewer, 50 AMP or cable available. We would stay there again. We camped at River Beach Campground in a Motorhome.
