Very nice park, a little tough to get to in a 45 ft motorhome. My only real complaint is the constant noise coming from the working rock quarry near by? We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Pricey park in the woods. Nice for family's....not so much for couples. Supposed to give one free night for every seven; something they won't mention to you on the phone. We stayed for 12 and we paid for 12 so go figure. Neatly kept park with plenty for the kids. Not particularly big rig friendly, but doable. Some nice shady spots; bring the bug spray. Off the beaten path so plan on driving at least 20-30 minutes to attractions. Nice get away campground. We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

This park is top notch - great pool, restaurant, amenities. What was surprising was that unlike the typical RV park where cabins make up a small percentage of the site, the cabins dominate this park with the RVs being in the minority. The bathrooms should be rated a 9 rather than a 10 by Good Sams because it was relatively small, the stalls were way too small for tall person, and the showers were annoying because you had to hold the water button the entire time or it shuts off in 5 seconds. The campground is a bit secluded and some of the religious suggestions were a little freaky. Other than that, it was a nice stay and we had a great time with family and friends. We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This park had everything! So much beauty. Our spot was a red carpet site which was paved. Huge site. Engulfed in the forest; yet easy to keep the doggie clean. There are all kinds of activities, a Cafe, an ice cream shop, boat rentals, playground. This place makes you want to stay. It is pricey, but treat yourself, it is ok to do that once and a while. The kids will love it too. The price reflects stay 7, the 8th night is free. We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

We had lots to do in this lovely campground. We loved our stay in the bus, and enjoyed the wildlife in our spacious wooded lil lot. The bath houses were very clean. The pool and spa facilities were awesome . Laundry room was great, and the staff was friendly and eager to help. We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Cabin.

A wonderful and meticulously kept RV park. Very large park with sections for seasonal and long time renters. We stayed in one of their red carpet sites which was very spacious, nice level cement pad, included picnic bench and in ground fire ring. Best Wifi reception we have seen in an RV park. Great location within an hours drive to Hershey, Lancaster, Philadelphia, Winterthur estates, Wyeth house and art galleries. Wonderful supermarket Shady Maple just 4 miles away in case you need anything. Also on site RV repair from some of the permanent residents. We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a top campground. All roads are paved, sites are very nice, many sites have concrete pads. Pools are inside and out (continuous) two smaller pools/spray for little ones. Very nice snack bar/cafe. Store is very nice with ice cream parlor.

Has a very nice lake (about 6-8 acres) with OK fishing for the kids.

This place is very well kept and top notch, no nonsense. Alcohol not "allowed" but as long as you keep on site and quiet, no problem.

No HOBOs here, just top of the line seasonals and small trailer houses.

We go here at least twice to three times per year. We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Easy to buy good firewood roadside as well as fruits and vegetables from local Mennonites. Weavers is the place for groceries, but there is a good orchard nearby that has a very good store, I think it is Stoufers.

This was a nice campground for those with kids and looking for activities. They had a large pool with a diving board and a hot tub, lake with boats to be rented, miniature golf, golf carts to be rented (which you almost need to do here as the park is so large), a cafe and an ice cream store. Campground is heavily wooded which made it feel very dark, no hope of satellite, no wifi. Lancaster was about 40 minutes away. Our site was surrounded by bushes, which made us feel cramped, but also provided privacy. Site was level with full hook-up. We don't usually spend this much on a cg, but were meeting other family members. Great for vacation, not necessary for our needs though at that price. Well-kept, friendly service. We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

This was our 4th visit. We always stay in rentals. We decided to give the TIPI a try. That was a mistake. Keep in mind we love this RV Park. And it's usually pretty clean however it looks they they haven't cleaned that tipi since it was built. I didn't want to waive a fuss and it was a short stay so we dealt with it. Mold in the bathroom. Stained carpets. Roaches. I took a few pics and told the manager about it very nicely. I got a sorry. Well... It's me who is sorry. Sorry we won't be coming back. It's been a good run but I was maybe expecting a little more for a returning customer. No big deal. There are tons of campgrounds just as nice. We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Cabin.

We have stayed at this campground multiple times. Each season, they make improvements to the park. The huge pool complex was jam packed this weekend. However, there were no rude people. Kids waited in line nicely for the diving platform, and no kids were running around unsupervisedd I also noticed that parents were actually watching their children or even playing with their children rather than being involved in themselves. This was a positive thing for me to see. The seasonal campsites are immaculate as are the grounds. We were extremely satisfied with our campsite on the hill. Staff is always friendly. We enjoyed the Gnome Cafe next to the pool for some snacks as well. If your campsite is up on the hill, I do recommend spending the extra money to rent a golf cart and I would put it on hold when you reserve your spot. It is a long walk down to the pool and activities. There were no loud noises, no speeding golf carts and no drunk adults. A very pleasant location to spend a weekend. This is one of the most peaceful and serene campgrounds we have had the pleasure of visiting. We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This resort is wonderful! We stayed at the red carpet sites. The camp store is really big and has everything you need. The restrooms were immaculate. They have a large pond where you can paddle boat and fish. The grounds at this RV Resort are beautiful and well taken care of. We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

We have visited this park several times but this is the first time we were able to get in the pool and really spend time outdoors. The only negative I have is the Quarry noise from next door on Friday. Most of the staff we encountered were very friendly, we did encounter one woman who was too strict in the rules and not especially happy. This whole campground is in pristine condition. No trash lying around, n0 golf carts speeding around. Not allowing lights on golf carts eliminates noise at night, so it is very peaceful. The entire pool complex is beautiful and, even with a full campground on Saturday, the pool was not especially crowded as it is quite large. There is a cafe you can access from the pool as well and enjoy your meal outside. I have truly never seen a pool like this. Both the playground and the pool were extremely therapeutic for my son with autism. A pool with a waterfall the kids can hang out under? That was really cool. There is a lake for fishing and many trails for hiking. There really are not many planned activities for the kids, but there is so much to do otherwise. We were a bit disappointed in our site (171). Although it is a "premium" site, it is long and narrow with the front part going downhill. We worked it out though. The weather cooperated and we were able to relax this weekend. We have already made reservations to return twice next year, one of those times in a specialty rental. These are also kept in tiptop condition as well as all the seasonals. We camped at Lake-in-Wood Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.
