Came here based on prior reviews, and pics of the pool (our 7yo was excited about the big slides!) Called for reservations only a week in advance, so sites were limited... But we got a site not far from the pool and office/store area. Pluses: - the pool: large, clean, big tubular slides, plenty of deck area with large amts of seating - pretty creek by the office/pool area, with sites available on it (mostly seasonal from what I could tell) - well-stocked store, with actual penny candy & lots of choices for munchies - did not experience any unfriendly staff Minuses: - Very hilly. There is a lower area, and then a steep winding road up to an upper area. Almost no flat places on the whole site, except right by the creek. - Sites packed close together, with little/no trees etc between sites. - Many noisy gas golf carts buzzing around at night, up until quiet hours start at 11pm. (Although it's probably the best way to get around the hilly terrain.) Probably won't return, too hilly/noisy/crowded for our tastes, with better cg options nearby. (It's a very pretty area, though, so glad we visited.) We camped at Oak Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Trashy. Very rude staff, clientele very strange. No freedom to be at your site without management or others interrupting. Smells like sewer, would not recommend at all. Other campgrounds within a mile radius much nicer and much friendlier staff. We camped at Oak Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this campground several times before. It is a very well run park. Seasonals and staff are all friendly and all rules are followed. No speeding golf carts and no excessive noise!! This is the first time the weather allowed us to use the pool--it was nice and warm and quite clean. A bit disappointed, though, that on a holiday weekend the water slides were not open. The golf cart parade was a lot of fun as was the selfie scavenger hunt for teens and adults. There are quite a few activities as well as a church service to choose from. The local bakery comes and sells some yummy desserts as wellThere is a nice hunting trail opposite the lake that leads up to "Devil's Den". I recommend checking it out. The sites are clean and nicely spaced out so you are not right next to your neighbor. Most of the sites have quite a bit of shade as well. If you do rent a site and you are in the "D" section, I would suggest renting a golf cart as well as the hill heading down to the pool and store is quite steep. We already have plans to return next year. We camped at Oak Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Our first trip to Oak Creek, and staying on the N side of the Lancaster area. Upon arrival we were meet by a greeter at the entrance of the park and was qucikly escorted to our site and aided in backing in to the site. Site was located on the creek and was very nice with a great view. Enjoyed the proximity to the playground and the fishing pond to keep an eye on our children. Paved site was a bit off level but manageable. Tree covered spot blocked our satellite however the cable had many channels. Verizon cell service was marginal at best. Campground store had a lot of good stuff and also had a great selection of campground t-shirts including larger sizes. I would recommend Oak Creek. We camped at Oak Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

This campground is CROWDED. Granted we were there July 4th weekend, but the place was packed. If you have a golf cart, and don't mind nonstop golf cart (at all hours) noise then this place might be for you. Quiet hours were not enforced. Lots of permanent sites. Playgrounds are not suitable for younger kids. The restrooms were amazingly clean, probably the most clean ive ever seen. I did send an email to the campground a week prior for help finding things to do in the area and got no response. It wasnt a horrible campground, but we wouldnt stay here again. We camped at Oak Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here over the July 4th holiday. Almost every site was full. Everyone we encountered was very friendly. The weather did not cooperate for us so we didn't get in the pool but we still really enjoyed ourselves. You can take a hike to the Devil's Den or fish anytime. I participated in the Digital Scavenger hunt with my teens. This was the most fun I've had in a long time. Searching the campground and posing with various items from a ketchup bottle to a doorbell and a squirrel. We even had to find a particular campsite. The rubber ducky races in the river were quite enjoyable too. Cheering rubber duckies to get through the rapids and rocks in the river to the finish line first. To finish our weekend, we participated in the golf cart parade with about 50 other golf carts meandering through the campground while onlookers cheered. We plan on returning again. We camped at Oak Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This is our first visit to the campground. We were camping with friends. The sites we were given were perfect and two of the better sites. They were in the D area. There is a staff member greeting you upon check-in, and you are escorted to your site. The sites are level and nicely separated. There are golf carts for rental. If you up on the mountain, I would reserve on upon registration. It's a steep hike down to the store. Even for the off season, there were many activities to keep everyone busy. Staff is friendly and all the seasonals we encountered were friendly. It was quite chilly, so not too many people were out and about on Saturday. There are three playgrounds and plenty of bathhouses. There is a small pond for fishing and a nice stream. The pool has several water slides, but, obviously, they were closed this time of year. We will most likely return. We camped at Oak Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

I can't believe there are not many more reviews of this campground because it is a great place and it is almost always filled to capacity and surely many of the visitors use RV Park Reviews.

This is a very nice campground with mostly wooded sites that are pretty well separated from each other to give privacy. The management works hard at making sure all visitors have a good stay. They also keep the campground and its facilities in tip-top condition, so there's no need for me to go into detail about bathrooms, etc., because everything is clean.

The only reason I gave this a 9 instead of a 10 is because on holiday weekends it seems that they allow too many vehicles on sites which really clutters things up and takes away from the in-the-woods feel. I expect this is due to management making sure everybody is happy and allowing an extra vehicle on a site here or there.

I recommend this campground to any camper with any size RV. You will not be disappointed. We camped at Oak Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

New ownership but campground is still nice, and also improvements and upgrades being done. New sites added and also rentals. They enforce the rules here, which is good, as it gets really crowded on the weekend. Lots of things for the kids to do. My only complaint would be the wagon ride at night and the excessive use of the air horns during the ride, I am sure the children like it but less is good. Most likely will return. We camped at Oak Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here twice and because of our last experience will not go back, nor will the two other families that went with us. The campground is quite nice; very wooded, three playgrounds, pond, lots of activities; that is why we chose to go back. The management is the problem. They are very rude and not accommodating. The hill to get to your site is also very hard to climb up unless you have a golf cart or drive. We rented a golf cart and they were very strict and nasty when we needed to fill up gas. We had a decent sized pull thru (#330), it was a little unlevel, but not too bad. The utilities worked well. There are some pretty steep hills to get to the sites. This place is mostly seasonal, staff is friendly. The pool was great except for there was not enough seating for everyone and most people had to bring their own chairs. A few bath houses and laundry rooms located throughout the park. A lot of scheduled activities. The only real problem was a loud party a few sites down that went on well after quiet hours, security was not seen after 11pm. We would stay again. Good clean and quiet park in PA hills. Must drive several miles of twisty little roads to get there, then one steep hill inside campground-just take it slow. About 8 miles from nearest grocery store. Most of park are seasonal sites. Back-ins and pull thrus are big rig suitable. Sites are not level, but most looked close enough. ATT voice & data weak and Verizon 4G. Camp Wi-Fi and cable worked fine. You must haul your own trash to the bottom of the hill. No mail pickup. No rate discounts except for weekly 1 night free. This is a very nice campground. The restrooms were extremely clean. We had a nice quiet camp spot. The only reason for the drop in ratings was the fact that you could hear the race track in the distance. This was very annoying when you tried to sit outside and enjoy the campfire. The folks running the place are extremely nice and friendly. We had a very nice time camping there. I would go back again. We camped at Oak Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed Labor Day weekend with another couple. We called 3 weeks before Labor Day weekend to see if by chance they had any openings, the girl that answered the phone could not have been nicer. She accommodated us with no problems. We had site 107 along the creek & site 115 which is adjacent. Both sites were fantastic. Bathrooms & showers were immaculate. Definitely will be back. Only reason they are getting a 9 - the store closed at 5pm on Sunday night which I find a bit odd for a large holiday weekend, but we were able to get firewood by placing money in a slot in the office door. Very very nice setting, cant say enough about the site along the creek. Very large & spacious. would recommend to everyone. We camped at Oak Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
