We stayed for a week in April, 2016. The campground is pleasant looking, large sites, mature trees, a rustic feel. Contrary to their website, the swimming pools, hot tub and laundry were all closed during our entire week-long visit. They should have at least offered a discount, but I asked, and they said it's just the way it is. Call ahead to find out what amenities are available during your stay. Don't trust the website. Have fun! We camped at Spring Gulch Resort Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Great really large sites, good hook-ups. No TV and WiFi extra charge. Great staff. Only issue is you have to go up a steep mountain to the sites. We camped at Spring Gulch Resort Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Amish Country is good and friendly. Must see and visit.

I think we found a new favorite in Lancaster County PA. Every fall, our family does a group trip to Lancaster. I have drove in and checked out the facility before hand, and found it to be wonderful. Deciding to go there, we all packed up our Motorhomes. Upon arriving, we found that the sites we we were having all together would be broke up, due to a camper having a breakdown on his truck. No big deal, we were close enough. The staff was wonderful. The store was well stocked with all the basics (including ice cream!) The sites were spacious, with full hook up and cable. Wifi was $4.00 a day, which we found to be not needed. Verizon coverage was excellent. We camped in the 400 section, which had a nice large field, so the dogs could run. The was also a house right by our sites, which was a bit different. The campground is huge, and we found many seasonal campers, but all were so friendly. This campground has a ton to offer. The sites are very spacious, and we cannot wait to come back and camp in the 1500 zone. Love the shaded sites up the hill. Also, we rented a golf cart from Renningers, which came in handy to explore the campground, and make trash runs and trips to the store. Also came in handy to buy firewood. Gated campground, which is awesome. Everyone in our group enjoyed the stay, and we have no doubt that we will make Spring Gulch an annual destination. We did not use the restrooms, but found them to be very clean. (Showers by dance barn were a bit odd, as they were shared by both men and women, but were privately divided.) Cable TV Service was excellent. To sum it up, we found this Resort to live to its expectation, and will certainly be telling our friends about it. We camped at Spring Gulch Resort Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to rent a golf cart from Renningers while staying here. You will need it to see the whole campground. Be sure to tour the local attractions. Visit, and learn the PA Dutch country and the amish culture. Its so nice to sit in the 400 section and watch the horse and buggys go by at night!

Clean bathrooms! We were surprised to have a site with no sewer in the lower part of the campground. This was our first trip with our camper so we didn't know much different. We had to extend two nights because our camper needed repairs and they charged us $52.00 per night for those nights. That irritates me since we didn't even have full hookups.

The area is very beautiful and idyllic. Be prepared for horse dung all under your camper and truck since the Amish buggies get it all over the roads. The staff here is friendly. There is a fun little park for the kids. We camped at Spring Gulch Resort Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Make sure to go on a nice hike at the Money Rocks nearby. Very very pretty.

This is a park divided into two sections, the upper and lower areas. The lower sections is a old park setting with rigs pulled in side by side. The upper section appears to be newer. We stayed in the up the hill as they called it. It was a steep hill but wide and paved. The sites were bigger than average in many commercial parks. Hookups were nicely placed. The site was gravel, fairly level. There are trees and bushes between many of the sites. There are also a lot of seasonal sites. I was told the sites up on the hill cost between $68 and $72. We paid $35 with our Thousand Trails membership that allows us a 50% discount at Encore parks for a limited number of days The lower section cost a little less, not sure of the price. This is a very nice park if you are up on the hill. Not sure I would stay here without a discount. We camped at Spring Gulch Resort Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is priced $10 to $20 above comparable parks in the area and lacks some very basic amenities. We had to pay $6.00 per day for WiFi service in addition to the premium cost we had already paid for the site. Out of the 4 days we stayed, the wireless signal was so weak that it failed to work at all during one day and was always excessively slow when it did work. We travel nationwide almost every year and find that most RV parks now provide free WiFi, even those charging half this site rate. Bathrooms were inadequate with regards to neatness and design. The shower heads were nothing more than a "mister" and only had a door stop available for hanging a towel and clothing. We loved to visit the Amish area, but would not utilize this park again when we return in the future. The RV sites were good and spacious, but this RV park should get their total package together if they insist on charging such a "premium" rate. We camped at Spring Gulch Resort Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the nearby Amtrak train to Philadelphia for a day trip to see the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and have a famous Philly Cheese Steak sandwich at "Jim's Steak".

The park is nice and clean with pretty large, private sites. We spent Labor Day weekend here and it was filled to capacity, but we still felt fairly secluded in our site. We drove around and checked out the whole campground and found that most of the sites are very nice. There are two pools -- one for each side of the campground, which makes it nice to not have to walk too far to the pool. The management is very friendly, except for one girl behind the office counter -- she is impatient and rude, but we got over that. Wi-Fi is TengoInternet pay as you go, so we used our wireless hotspot after asking others how the service was. Everybody said it is pretty lousy. The electric at the pedestal stayed at a consistent 115-124 volts, the water pressure is good and the sewer hookups are convenient and easy to connect. Cell reception is spotty for both Verizon Wireless and AT&T, but we were able to make calls and connect to the Internet without too much trouble. We will definitely return. In fact, we are considering taking an annual site which is something we never considered before. We camped at Spring Gulch Resort Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here several years ago and loved this campground. We were excited to visit a second time but quickly realized it was going to be a different experience the second time around. The nightly rates are expensive and there are no additional amenities for the extra money. We have 5 and 6 year-olds and they love the playground. This time around the playground was overgrown with weeds and littered with garbage. I did see an employee with a weed eater but he never touched the playground. The pool is a nice size but had a strange murky color to it. The one bathroom we did use near the office had the same pink puddle over much of the counter the entire time we were there. We didn't use the showers thankfully but given the state of the bathroom I thought I would check them out. EEK! They were gross, dark, dirty and complete with a used sanitary item lying on the floor. For the money there are 1000 campgrounds I would pay to visit before we would ever return here. We stayed in the lower section on site 401. It was a nice level site. We camped at Spring Gulch Resort Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Passport America rate. But they also charge a daily $3 resort fee. For that rate, the facilities are just OK. But as a "resort" the bathhouses need some serious updating, and we tried them all! I would not stay here at the regular rate, and the PA discount is, of course, restrictive. We camped at Spring Gulch Resort Campground in a Motorhome.

This was our first time camping and Spring Gulch was an ideal start. The area we wanted, the 1500s, was booked so we opted for the 400s. Upon arrival they informed us that a cancellation was received earlier and we got site 1528. As it was April, the pool wasn't open yet, and we didn't use the restrooms or shower so I can't comment on those. Our site was in a good location with no sites across the road, and plenty of room and vegetation between the sites left, right, and back. Gravel are plenty big for me to back my 35' rig into. Hookups were easy and all worked. The downside to it was that it took four level blocks for the front jacks and that raised the front wheels off the ground by about 8". And the cable TV was fuzzy and limited, but that may have been user error. As I said, it was out first time camping. We will camp here again. Would not consider it a resort campground. Roads were worn, shale, and muddy at sites. 30 amp breaker kept popping when microwave was used but for the cheaper rate when we were there it was adequate. Nice area which is why we stopped there. We camped at Spring Gulch Resort Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We love this campground! It was very large, but the campsites are in sections so you never feel like you are lost in a sea of trailers or tents. The management is wonderful. They are friendly and professional. The staff leads many activities for the campers and each activity is well led. This is a very family friendly campground. You will find an unlimited amount of activities for the family to enjoy from mini-golf to swimming to arts and crafts. The campground is on a beautiful property which is clean and well taken care of. We will definitely be back. We camped at Spring Gulch Resort Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Where to begin, the sites are up a steep road, in woods,wi-fi is $5.00 a day. This is the first place in two cross country trips to charge for a service even Mc Donald's provides free. Laundry, the ones that worked were average seven fifty a load. We stayed here in an RV, for the very last time ever. I will avoid this place in the future and advise others to do the same. Sites on the top section are premium, second-to-none sites which have their own pool and bathhouse. The store/office is old, too small, and smells bad. Beginning to think it's just too expensive for what you get--it's no resort. Never see anyone driving around on the upper level from a security standpoint, and this last time 2 drunk couples were in the pool after it closed creating a disturbance. Only draw for us is Shady Maple. We camped at Spring Gulch Resort Campground in a Travel Trailer.
