This was an overnight stop home and it was a great place to stop. Our site was a back in and we did have to unhook for the evening in order to fit. There was a 9 hole miniature golf course that the kids and I enjoyed. We will stay here again if we ever come back to the area. We camped at Allentown KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here last a few years ago. The problem is, there has not been much to the place since then. The layout, of course, has not changed with sites pretty close together and gravel roads that hold up well to a torrential downpour, just like last time. The smell is still in the water but the pressure is good. What isn't so good is the WiFi. Speedtest showed download speed of 1.73 Mbps and upload speed of .35 Mbps. Pretty slow. So, with all the negatives, why 5/10? Because it is still the nicest campground in the area and there is so much stuff to do. NYC is 2 hours away where we visited the 9/11 memorial. Bethlehem has so much history we could spend a week there. Galen Glen Winery is well worth the slow trip down what Pennsylvania quaintly calls a two lane road. Come and spend some time here and enjoy. We will return because there is much more to see and do here. We camped at Allentown KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out all the history in Bethlehem. We visited the cemetery at the Moravian Church there and found the grave marker of a soldier who fought for Napoleon! Galen Glen Winery may not be easy to get to but their German whites are well worth the trip.

Small & poorly laid out campground. Awkward sites that face each other - no privacy & are exposed to your neighbors music, smoke etc. Additionally disappointed with the restrooms - clogged toilets & cleanliness issues plus only 2 of 3 showers work in Ladies room - no sign posted to inform you that it is "out of order" so you will only find this out once naked & ready to shower. Pool was NOT heated. Rec room musty/moldy/mildew -allergy sufferers beware! We camped at Allentown KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Older dated campground. It rained one day and it pretty much was mud. Not enough gravel on sites and roads. Water pressure was bad for a few days and got better the last day. Not enough pressure to use the rigs shower. Wifi OK. Cable OK. No Verizon cell service. Showers need to be updated. There is a small acorn type nut on handle to adjust water. Difficult to turn. Shower doors needs help also. Would suggest better lighting on walkway to showers. Very dark at night. Roads a bit tight for big rigs. We camped at Allentown KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

This KOA is not what we expected! Somewhat on the trashy side. We were at site 48 in the back near a creek. The smell was horrible!! A cross between sewer and dead fish!! We couldn't even sit outside! I would never choose this campground again and would not recommend it to anyone. Thankfully we were just passing through and only had to endure this 1 night!! We camped at Allentown KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Our site was a pull through buddy site. Not much room between us and the site next to ours. We stayed in site 61 and it faced into site 60. Would be great if you are camping with someone else, but was a little awkward when someone else was at the other site. Had what I assume where seasonal sites, but they were not very well taken care of. We stayed in the middle of the week so it was not very crowded. The road in is very narrow, as are some of the turns in the campground. We camped at Allentown KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Great ambiance in a uniquely designed park. Built into a small mountain valley with a pleasant running stream, sites range up and down the sides of the valley. Quiet (perhaps because of their puritan views of alcohol - it is banned in the park), but also early in the season. Loved our stay! We camped at Allentown KOA in a Motorhome.

Roads and site lead-ins were tight. We were 65' with tow and ended up cutting across grass in several places - squared corners are not an RVers friend.

Quaint little spot, has a small stream, dog park, pool (closed during my visit). Quiet area. I live in the area, so this was just to get the dust off the trailer. Family enjoyed. Would go again. Interestingly enough, there is a "No Alcohol" policy at this KOA. Might be a "bad" for some and a "good' for others. We camped at Allentown KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Quiet area. Main attractions would be farms, Dorney Park, and the general stuff found in the Lehigh Valley, PA.

Arrived just before dark, and the site they put us in was barely long enough. Had to leave our 5th wheel connected as there wouldn't have been room to park the truck. Exceptionally tight turns, lots of trees, and very narrow roadways. Pull thru sites are set up in pairs where coaches face each other or are back to back. No privacy and sites are extremely close to kamp cabins. Excess parking is non-existent. Our site was right next to a cabin where you could look out our window into the cabin (fortunately it was not occupied!). It was an overnight stay, and quite a bit off the main road. I'd stay again if I couldn't find anything else. Front desk would not honor military discount even though I explained other KOAs did. We camped at Allentown KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Almost the only option for overnight along the I-78. About 7 miles off the interstate but not hard to get to or find. Pull thru with electric and water. Worked for what we needed. We stayed going and coming from our destination because of location and limited choices. We camped at Allentown KOA in a Motorhome.

This is an average KOA. Gravel roads and gravel sites. It is a tight campground with most sites facing each other (neighbor's table and patio right outside your front door). Showers were clean, hot, and private (a bit on the small side). People were friendly and helpful. The laundry facility was nice as well. The road to get to the KOA is not good and could be dangerous. It is basically a one lane road and would be problematic if another camper were departing or arriving at the same time (we were fortunate that this didn't happen, but would be very difficult if it did as there is very little wiggle room). The same is true for the check in area. One rig at a time can get through - period. We were coming back from a day trip with just the tow vehicle and got caught in a traffic jam between two RV's, 2 golf carts, and a pickup truck. There was lots of backing by those involved. We used this campground as base camp so that we could visit nearby, Dorney Amusement Park and it worked for that purpose. We were on a full hook-up site that was decent and fairly level side to side. Sloped down hill to the front. Some other campers had to use leveling blocks side to side. The electric/water sites by the stream were very level, but weren't full hook-ups. We camped at Allentown KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom were fun parks to visit. We enjoyed our time there, but recommend going during the week as the weekend was packed. Ride times in the dry park were great even with a weekend crowd, but we're awesome during the week.

We very much enjoyed this campground. The sites were pretty close together but they were level, gravel sites with good drainage. We found this out when it rained pretty heavily one night. The sites drained but the grassy areas were saturated. The roads were not muddy, for the most part. The wi-fi was free and reasonably fast though the pipe did get saturated since the campground was full, due to it being the 4th of July weekend. The restrooms and showers were clean and well maintained but they were a little small. The other problem was a slight smell to the water that kept us using the water we brought with us to drink. There was a very pretty stream that ran through the place and we enjoyed the view. The office staff was very pleasant and helpful. The toilet paper in the women's restroom was stolen and they were very quick to replace it. One other thing that impressed was the quiet hours. As I mentioned, it was the 4th of July weekend and the campground was full but they kept the place quiet after 10:00 pm. We really appreciated that. We would definitely choose to come back here. We camped at Allentown KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is an average KOA, enjoyable for families with young kids. There is plenty of room for kids to ride bikes around and play in a stream. For non-kid campers it is an ordinary CG on a pretty piece of land. Some of the sites are extremely close together (along the stream). The hook-ups work well but the wi-fi is terrible and there is limited cell service (one bar).
There is a row of seasonals adjacent to the main part of the CG which includes some very poorly maintained sites with old tires, pieces of old tarps, dead plants, etc. It was an ok place for one night but I wasn't eager to stay. We camped at Allentown KOA in a Motorhome.

The entry top the campground off of PA100 is well marked but use great caution. It is at the bottom of a steep hill. Likewise be careful when entering PA100 on departur cats come around the corner fast. This is a lovely wooded campground of cabins and sites along a small stream. Very clean bathrooms though showers under the office are smaller than the 2 in the outside building. Two play grounds, minigolf, banana trikes for rent, nice pool, super staff and owners who really care for the place and their guests. Well stocked camp store, nice arcade area, laundry, some seasonals. Very popular weekend so phone ahead if you can. We arrived a day early and they found a comfortable temporary spot for us to overnight despite being fully booked. This is the first time we've stayed in the campground the whole time rather than going out to putto nd things do and we've camped 40+ years. Very nice for families, couples, groups, singles. The only negative is the narrow sites and having to share the space between with your neighbors. We camped at Allentown KOA in a Travel Trailer.
