This large yet comfortable resort is packed with things to do between June and Labor Day. Many sites offer scenic views, especially when the Autumn leaves color the hills of coal country. While it is nice that they provide year round camping be prepared to pay the same "resort" fee even off season. In season amenities include two swimming pools (with water slides), an indoor movie theater, a full service restaurant, miniature golf, three dog parks and lots of activities for children and adults. Off season it is a convenient base from which to explore Pennsylvania's coal country. We did have a problem with a long term camper doing some kind of very noisy grinding for hours, which could be heard all over the park. Other than paying for services not available when we visited our stay was generally pleasant. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

Always tops on my list - wifi! We found it strong. Staff when registering was helpful, our site was large, although not quite level, with crushed rock. Since it rained the four days we were there, there wasn't a need to put down our RV rug. We stopped here on our way to Myrtle Beach from Canada and liked the park so much we stopped on the way back. We requested a level site since we were only going to be there for one night and didn't want to unhook the truck. They gave us a perfect spot! It's a beautiful campground - would definitely stay there again if we travel south. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Travel Trailer.

Immaculate park with ample space and grass between sites. Beautifully landscaped with great views of the surrounding Appalachian mountains. May consider a monthly stay in the Fall. The office staff were pleasant and very accommodating. When we possibly had to extend our stay due to vehicle repairs, we were offered to stay in their lot because they were booked for that evening. Very customer oriented! We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed for a month & enjoyed our stay. Staff was excellent and facility offered an array of activities. Gravel roads and sites (reason for 8 rating rather than a 10) . Spacing is fine. WiFi not usable. Our 50 amp circuit breaker was faulty and replaced by the staff promptly. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in a long pull thru site in the V row. Our site was unlevel. Utilities worked good and wifi was ok. A few cable channels were included. Check in person was very friendly as were most workers we came in contact with. Facilities were in nice shape. There are 2 pools side by side, both with water slides. There was a 2 dog parks, 1 big, 1 smaller. There is a ferris wheel and carousel on site. There was a restaurant on site that we did not visit, and an ice cream parlor that served a decent array of ice cream, floats, and sundaes. The store was a decent size. There was activities throughout the day for kids. We will definately return to this park. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Travel Trailer.

A very family oriented park with lots of things for kids to do. Amusement park on site, two pools, one with water slide, etc. Well organized sites, mostly level with good access. On site restaurant (cash only) had good snack style menu. Ice cream parlor in amusement area. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our first visit to the park and we were pleasantly surprised. We had a site that backed right up to the stream!! All the sites are nicely spaced with plenty of room. Not a great deal of shade but there are trees scattered. There are two pools with two water slides. These are not guarded--in my opinion they should be guarded for safety as kids get out of control. There is an old amusement park right on the grounds with a working carousel, ferris wheel, arcade and train as well as an ice cream parlor. I did not notice too many seasonals, but I did not explore the whole park. There are cottages as well as they are immaculate. The bathrooms and showers were clean as were the pools. We did not use the dog runs or the playground. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and all of them seemed to "get" that my son has autism. Although this is quite a distance for us to travel for a weekend we do plan on returning. My girls are really young adults now and they found things to do as well. Activities were fun and available during the week as well. Restaurant on site with mostly breakfast and lunch foods. Store really didn't have much food available for purchase. I didn't even notice the staples of milk and eggs. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Travel Trailer.

This is right next to state park with lots of hiking trails (we did not use) We did visit Knoebel's amusement Park, about a 45 minute ride. Free admission and just pay for the rides and food. Cabela's is also about a 45 minute ride away.

Very nice campground, many improvements since coporate ownership. Two slides in pool, nice cafe, nice store, very nice amusement area with Carousel, ferris wheel and band shell.

They also have a cabin area seperate from trailer area. (2) dog parks.

Very nice campsite along stream some where you can set up some chairs and enjoy the cool running water. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Travel Trailer.

This was our first visit. We were surprised at the size. We had a nice pull through with plenty of room for the towed car. History shows this was at one time an amusement park that has been converted to an RV resort/campground. They did an amazing job. They kept the old ferris wheel and have a carousel protected in a beautiful building. There are two pools with two water slides, arcade and ice cream parlor. The seasonals were located outside the transient area but were well maintained. They had one of the largest Frisbee golf courses I've seen and well manicured. We are talking acres of manicured land. There are cottages as well and looked immaculate. The bathrooms and showers were clean as were the pools. 2 large dog runs - larger than most counties provide. The only down fall would be during a heavy rain the dog parks suffice for drainage. The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. Highly recommend. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

We stayed 2 nights. 40 Foot Class A Diesel Pusher with 4 slides and pulling our toad. We have our own satellite dish, use our OTA antenna and seldom use cable. We have 2 in our party with a small dog. Hook ups were acceptable with no issues on electricity, water or sewage. What we liked: The RV Park is wide open with plenty of space and a true feeling of being in the country. The staff was friendly on arrival. The site is crushed rock which did the job. There was plenty of room all around. There was plenty of room for dog to roam about. The park is more family oriented with large pool, slides and activities for those on holiday rather than just passing through. We spent our days touring about. Dislikes: We missed the entrance the first time, with a long haul to get back to it. Some bigger signs at the entrance would be better as we thought it was a restaurant and did not pull in on first sighting. Price was right with what was offered. We would stay here again. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

We just stayed as a nightly stopover en route. But it is easy to see why families with kids would like this place: lots of fun stuff and a nice pool too.

For us: good wifi and cable TV and a warm welcome would have edged the rating up a bit. Wifi was bad on the throughput. Cable was very limited channel wise with lots of filler and missing some key networks. Check in was quick and easy but no welcome or conversation was offered.

Roads were good gravel as were the sites: most we saw looked pretty level. Bathrooms were fairly modern and spotlessly clean but small. No where to sit, to remove or put on clothes when showering. Stools would help! Decent value, but we won't be back unless the cable & wifi improve as we don't need the other stuff that families would enjoy. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.

We had two sites one for our setup and the other for our son and his family. We were all in travel trailers. This was our first time at this CG and everything went well. We will definitely be back in the fall when it's not over 100 degrees! The view of the mountains will be beautiful at that time as well. For being as full as it was, everything quieted down nicely at night.

This is important when you go to this CG. If your coming from the Allentown direction on rt78 do NOT get off at any exit but for rt 81 north. I followed my gps and got off at exit 13 rt 501. Wow, did we go for a ride. I have a 29' TT and I tow it with a 2011 Chevy dually and she was even struggling up and down the hills. Totally unnecessary wear and tear on my rig. If you just get off at the 81 north exit, then go about a mile or so and get off the exit for 72 north you'll be fine. CG is only a few miles once off 81.

Enjoy your stay and remember "It beats staying home." We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Travel Trailer.

As Fulltime RVer's my wife and I see a lot of parks and even thou we don't expect the best or all the bells and whistles, we do expect up to date facilities, easy access, a clean and tidy park, friendly helpful staff and all for a good value.

With that we rate each aspect as follows:

Up to date facilities: 4 (Very nice, private shower rooms, lots of kid entertainment.)

Easy access: 4 (Access was good, fairly easy to maneuver our 40' 5w.)

Clean & tidy park: 4 (The only keeping this from 5 stars is bits of trash, clothing left here and there around the park.)

Friendly & helpful staff: 2 (From their website: "R.A.P.I.D. At Twin Grove RV Resort, we are Very Focused on providing R.A.P.I.D. service to all of our Guests." Go to their site to read it more in-depth.)

With that: our first week here we had 1 power leg go out at our site, maintenance had to change the 50 amp breaker. When it flickered and then went out our washer blew a circuit board, (a $349.00 fix). I asked 3 different management people to reimburse us for this. First guy said he'd check into it with his manager, 2nd person said their manager was on vacation would be back in three days and would discuss with them then, 3rd person said (after explaining all we went thru), they promise to get with their manager and get back to me yet today or tomorrow and didn't. We ended up eating the bill with no help or response with their management. Doesn't sound very R.A.P.I.D. to me.

Bottom line: Beware of potential electrical problems. Not only did we experience issues but so have a couple of others we spoke to. Do not plug in without a good surge protector!

Value: Monthly rate wasn't bad, but with the monthly rate you pay your own electricity. What they don't tell you is the high KWH rate they have. 33 days and bill was well over $300

We stayed here for 33 days and received the monthly rate. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

What a beautiful CG. Extremely well keep landscaping , if you have children there is plenty of things to keep them occupied , well stocked store . Restaurant is clean and food is good . All the camp sites where well kept . Even all the hook ups , water , cable , electric looked new . They have cabins for rent that looked new , if not they beautiful. The only thing was the sites are a little small but everything else made up for that . I would highly recommend it. We camped at Twin Grove RV Resort & Cottages in a Motorhome.
