Totally shocked at the condition of the park. Drove around (large park) - many trailers were not in good condition. Blue plastic covering them, decks falling apart and lots of trash. A couple people we talked to said they had no water for days as pumps were broke and not able to be fixed for a few more days. Friday & Saturday nights loud, terrible music filled the campground until past 11 pm. Little kids driving golf carts & underage drinking...it is like a section 8 housing with a slum lord running it. Was glad to leave. We camped at Scottyland Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I agree that some of the older reviews are scary, and I was really worried about staying here, but the park isn't that bad. I will, however, say that we were placed in a permanent site, that the previous owner had left some cables, lights, a shed type building, and hoses. So this wasn't great for us. The site did have new gravel added, which I expect was because of our arrival. The site was pretty run down, but it did have water, electric, and sewer that all worked fine. We were across from the bath house, which my husband used. He said it was old but was clean, but it also did not have any soap, towels, or hand dryers. When we check in, the staff was pleasant enough, but did not tell us anything about the park or activities. They had a DJ Friday night, which we could hear the music from our site, and also bingo in a big hall they have, that we only found out from walking around, and just happening upon it. I have no idea if they had anything else scheduled for the weekend. A lot of the locals do have the golf carts and are driving around a lot. They had a few lakes, but the water all looked very green. We did not have a problem with any of the local residents, though we did feel a bit out of place camping in the permanent area. But they did come out to help another camper (not local), who was pulling in right during a rain storm and their truck got stuck in the mud. The local guys came out and hooked up their own truck to the camper to help get it in the site level. This is a very large park, which mostly seemed to be permanent sites (as we were put in that area), and the 'weekender' section seemed small. The roads are very tight in this campground, and a bit confusing to navigate at first. We had a bit of trouble finding our site. We also did not have a picnic table. The place was OK, but I probably would not stay here again. We camped at Scottyland Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is a very nice campground. Mostly permanent campers with a few passing through. Over the last 2 years the campground has been cleaned up and updated by the owners. The Management has really step up to the plate to get away from the bad reputation this campground had and is doing a great job of cleaning it out and up! Many new activities have been offered and campground also offer co-pay for lots of out of park activities which is wonderful if you have children! There are a lot of negative comments on other sites that are years old. I can tell you as of September 2015 this place has really pulled it together! We camped at Scottyland Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We've camped here in the past and this year, we see a great improvement in the campground and staff. They are cleaner, friendly, more helpful. The kids activity are great! The pool is clean and the great area in primative where you can fish. The golf carts are not as bad as it use to be. I recommend this campground! We camped at Scottyland Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We came here on a whim. It wasn't impressive. But I think a lot of the other negative comments on here might be overblown. The check-in lady acted very friendly and professionally to me. My site was clean. I don't remember being any problems anywhere. We camped at Scottyland Camping Resort in a Tent.

Drunks, golf carts, drunks on golf carts, pit bulls running loose and loud, fowl mouthed adults and teens. A great place if you want to spend a weekend with your family around people with ZERO class. We camped at Scottyland Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Host was friendly. This is a rowdy bunch. Lots of drinking, lots of golf carts, and traffic in campground. Mostly seasonal people, very few people who were passing through. Too far from turnpike, very hilly road and sharp turns. They said no pit bulls, or rottweilers. First thing we saw was a pit bull and then two rottweilers not tied up. Scary place, will never stop again. We camped at Scottyland Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the most awful campground I've ever been to. The golf carts are non-stop. The people were loud until 1:00 am. They blast their radios on the golf carts. None of the rules were enforced. This is really a trashy trailer court that does not care about the average weekend camper. No one was friendly. I would never recommend this to anyone. Unless you are partier and like to up all night long. We camped at Scottyland Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We did not stay at this campground. Not sure campground is the right word. It is more like a trailer park with hundreds of campers jammed next to one another. Most of the sights appear to be seasonal. Everybody has a golf cart and a loud radio. This place reminds me of a large block party. We drove through, but did not stay. Would prefer Wal-mart parking lot over this campground. Sorry, but true. We camped at Scottyland Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

If you like to do nothing but get drunk and play horseshoes, then this is the place for you. The campground is very dirty and not well maintained at all. I was a seasonal camper here because several of my friends were here. Ninety-five percent of the campground are seasonal campers. This place looks more like a trashy trailer court. None of the so called rules are enforced. Everybody owns at least one or two golf carts or ATVs and they run nonstop. Forget about trying to take a walk on the road, you're likely to get run over. The State Police are often called to this campground due to fights or theft. The grass is hardly ever mowed and when it is, the grass gets blown all over your vehicle or camper. There is absolutely no respect from the staff. However the seasonal campers are very friendly. There is a large fishing lake, but it is so overgrown with weeds inside that fishing is impossible. Lots and lots of seasonals. Lots and lots of golf carts. This campground has the potential to be something special. There are lots of things for the kids and a nice pool. If you stay here expect a non-stop stream of golf carts running from morning until after dark. If you have a golf-cart and our just dying to run the tires off, this is your campground! Overall Rating:

I can't believe this CG has not been rated prior to my rating. This CG is very lovely, but is 90% permanent park models, or TT/MH's with permanent fixtures. There are several fishing area and playgrounds. The laundry facilities consisted of 1 W&D, and a sink. There are TONS of planned activites for kids on the weekends. Watch out for golf carts EVERYWHERE! Initially, we were told that we had the last available spot for a busy weekend, but when the owner (who was leading us to our spot) decided we wouldn't fit into this narrow spot on a steep incline, we were given a lovely spot on top a hill with a beautiful view. I would suggest if you stay here, insist you get a spot in the upper levels, which are mostly permanent park models. For the most part, the permanents are lovely, well maintained park models, but there are some run down, dilapidated campers that need cleaned up. We camped at Scottyland Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.
