We stayed here over Labor Day weekend (with my wife and two girls, 7 and 12). It was our fist time here.
Beautiful grounds, large lake, activities for the whole family (played kickball, washer board, they had a yard sale, candy bingo, bingo...). Relatively level sites, our site was very large and had a stone patio. The staff was very nice and helpful. Bathrooms were surprisingly nice (nothing to look at from the outside, but nice inside - and VERY clean any time we went in). Very clean pool and nice splash zone area - plus it was actually heated (not solar - actual heat...). Residence were super friendly. Reasonable nightly rates.
Slight misses - roads were stone/dirt (very dusty when we were there), Power seemed to surge quite a bit in the evening (lights in the RV getting brighter/dimmer), poor internet (fee for internet, but poor connection where we were), Some old equipment 'hidden' in the woods - beautiful property but just some finishing items they need to take care of. Not real noticeable, but there. Shuffleboard far from the office and appeared to be in need of some attention. No TV.
Bottom line: We had a great time, we enjoyed the campground and people, and we made plans to return next year. Really liked out site - 323. View of the lake (the only one in the hills with that view I believe), near the bath house. No shade tree, but this time of year that was ok. When you consider the reasonable rates - this was an excellent place to stay. We camped at Pine Cradle Lake Campground in a Motorhome.
We were looking for a campground where we could take our kids and dog for a nice relaxing 3 day weekend. What a great choice! The kids didn't want to leave. The splash pad was a hit. My husband appreciated the fishing. I enjoyed the peace and quiet and campfires with the family. Would highly recommend for other families. We camped at Pine Cradle Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This looks like it was a great family campground at one time. Now there are a lot of dirty , loud ,migrant gas well workers here who paid way too much attention to my teen aged daughters, so they just stayed at our site . Also they drive way too fast and are comming and going day and night . We camped at Pine Cradle Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.
We spent 2 nights here, but it was for the purpose of having a place to stay while doing some business nearby, so it wasn't really a camping trip. We did find time to take a walk around the facility, and found it to be very well kept. There are a lot of seasonal/permanent sites, and most of them are very well kept. The lake is beautiful. The roads and landscaping are well maintained. Staff was very friendly. The only downsides I can think of, are the lack of cell phone service (Verizon), the lousy road leading to the place, and they charge extra for Wi-Fi service. We camped at Pine Cradle Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
This was our second trip and it is beautiful, lake is catch and release fishing, nice pool,3 playground areas nice little store with hand dipped ice cream and your basic needs, they also have a Bluegrass Festival in Sept. I can't say enough about how nice this campground is . The only down fall is its a long windy road on the way in.. We camped at Pine Cradle Lake Campground in a Tent Trailer.
