I must say we really enjoyed our stay here. Found the campground very appealing with the Amish farms that backed up to our site and the place seemed to have a country charm. Sites 20 through 42 back up to Amish farms and yes there is farm smells here. One thing of note if you valve your space or privacy this place may not be to your liking, sites are very tight with little space between sites which is most likely why they have a no campfire policy here. Also no mats allowed on grass. In addition most vehicles/tow vehicles had to T up at their sites because of lack of space. This may also create a blocking problem for some of the larger Rv's having to get into their sites. Geography at the campground was open to lightly wooded and very level. Camp roads are packed dirt and well grated. Campsites that we noticed had crushed stone. Our full hookups were in good working order. Camp store was well stocked. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. Showers have plenty of hooks, space and a bench to put your stuff on. Staff was friendly and informative. Seasonal sites were decently maintained, transient campers friendly and respectful. Good signal on our Verizon cell, briefly used Wifi which seemed slow to load up. We enjoyed this campground and would return or recommend this place to anyone. We camped at Flory's Cottages & Camping in a Travel Trailer.

Small campground in the center of Pennsylvania Dutch country. We got a site due to a cancellation as campground was full. Sites are well maintained, but small and close together. Adjacent Amish farm brings the sheep and goats up close. Be prepared for typical farm odors. We didn't find it offensive to our noses, but others might. We were assigned two sites to accommodate our motorhome and towed. We camped at Flory's Cottages & Camping in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit one of the many Amish farm restaurants for a family style dinner. Bike ride the well paved farm roads throughout the area and stop off at the Strasburg railroad museum for an interesting tour.

Typical for campgrounds in the area, fairly tight spacing, 10' or so between sites. Easy access to the campground, good central location for the area. Keep in mind it's farm country, you get the appropriate aromas. My small trailer was okay here, getting in and out of a site for bigger rigs may require getting folks to move there cars or trucks, not much clearance. I'll try it again off season, it's be real nice were it a little less packed. We camped at Flory's Cottages & Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park smack dab in the middle of Lancaster County. Very convenient location to Bird in Hand and Intercourse. Lots of restaurants close by. Owners were very helpful and were able to get us into a site on July 4th holiday weekend while we were traveling. We stayed on a buddy site which is like two-sites for the price of one. Plenty of room for motorhome, Jeep, and parking. We camped at Flory's Cottages & Camping in a Motorhome.

This is our favorite campground near Lancaster. It is centrally located. Owners on site work hard to keep it clean and organized. Bathrooms are spotless. We have farm view site and enjoyed watching the mules and horses in the pastures and behind our site there was a baby goat that just made our trip! He was the cutest thing. We go here every Memorial Weekend. We camped at Flory's Cottages & Camping in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We went to Sight and Sound and watched a Christian based show with live animals. It was excellent. We go to Intercourse to Stoltzfus Meat Market. Stopped at Kauffman grocery store for bulk food on the way to Bird in Hand Bakery. We also went to Countryside Road Stand for hand made pretzels and they have a variety of home things. On Sundays we go to the outlets.

Flory's Cottages & Camping is a small park right in the middle of Lancaster County. The park host/owner was friendly and helpful and the grounds, plain and simple, are very well maintained. All roads and sites are gravel, with grass between sites. No fire or bar-b-q pits, but there is a wooden picnic table at each site. Sites are approximately 50'x30' and are all back in which means the backs of the trailers almost "kiss". There was just enough room for our 35' trailer and truck. The park is obviously home to a good number of full-timers, but all units were well kept and the grounds were peaceful. We pulled in while it had been raining all day and our site had a bit of a drainage problem on the entry side of our unit. But we were able to use our outdoor mat to keep us out of the mud. All sites had full hook-ups and you have a choice of 30 or 50 amp electric. Restrooms were exceptionally clean. Other amenities are a laundry room, activity room, small playscape for kids, and a pet walk. The park is surrounded by typical Amish farms and homes and this location is convenient to Lancaster and all of the other townships that bump up to that city. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Flory's Cottages & Camping in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Points of interest to us were, The Amish Market in downtown Lancaster, driving the countryside (Amish farms and covered bridges), and the Mennonite Center where there is a life size replica of the Old Testament Tabernacle. And Longwood Gardens, a 45 minute drive, is truly beautiful.

The park is very small, but nice and clean. The sites are hard to get into because they are not angled. We had to move our vehicle several times so that it was not hit by other RVers backing into their sites. The owners are very nice and came by many times to make sure we were happy. The owners dog is not friendly and tried to get at my dogs a few times. A leash would solve the problem. The area around the campground is mainly Amish. It is very peaceful. We camped at Flory's Cottages & Camping in a Motorhome.

We have been coming to the Lancaster for many years, but this was our first time here. If you're looking for an active kid friendly place, don't come here. If you're looking for a peaceful friendly place - this is it!! We had one of the smaller sites in the back. It was fine for our needs. The campground is spotless. The managers made it a point to make sure all our needs we're taken care of!! The campground is in the middle of all the Amish attractions & food!!! The bathrooms and showers are spotless - thank you to whoever cleaned them every morning. The laundry room was clean ($2.25 wash, $1.75). Amish farms on three sides. We could sit and watch the farmer work his fields. There is no pool, no campfires allowed, no real game room, but plenty of peace and quiet and easy access to the best sights and food in the Amish area!!! This has become our new favorite campground! We camped at Flory's Cottages & Camping in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed here in the past and will come back again. Some sites in the middle row are tight back to back for large units. Space between sites is much better than average. Everything worked fine. We looked at several other parks in the area and there is one other that we may consider but it's at least $10 per night higher. There are a number of semi permanent residents but except for a lot of cigarette butts, not a problem. Will stay here again. We camped at Flory's Cottages & Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

The roads are difficult to navigate once the park is full. The spaces are very tight. We had to move our truck several times so a motorhome could get past our site. Another motorhome was being led in by the owner and scraped the side of his rig with a basketball hoop. If we had wanted to leave before most other people left on the weekend, we would have had to asked several others to move their truck so we could get our rig out.

Since the sites are small and tight, there was not adequate parking for the tow vehicle. No "true" pull through sites. The first one gets to pull through, the second one gets backed right up to them.

WiFi had inadequate bandwidth for the number of rigs in the park. In the wee hours when most were asleep, it worked OK. On days when few rigs were there, it worked OK. When the park fills up, the WiFi is almost unusable and that was extremely frustrating. You are given individual logins, up to 3. So if you have more devices (laptops, tablets, phones), you can't use them. I believe a sign said that you can add them for $2 a day.

The owners were very nice and pleasant to work with. However, that did not change the physical constraints of the park or the poor WiFi.

Cable is an extra $5 per night and is not digital. There's an extra charge to run your air and use the WiFi if you are not staying for a week.

The location was very convenient to explore the Amish Countryside but this would not be my first choice to stay again due to the poor WiFi and the tight spaces. We camped at Flory's Cottages & Camping in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to visit the "Amish Experience" if you are interested in the Amish Culture. See the film, the Amish house and school, and take the tour shuttle. All 3 are about $42 combined and they threw in a free buggy ride. This should be first on your agenda to get a good understanding of the Amish culture before you tour the area.

The campground is in the heart of Amish country. However, was charged $4 extra per day to run my AC. For what you get, the base price of $44 seems a little high as there are no campfires permitted and are really no frills. Sites are tight. If I put my awning out, I would have hit the next rig. There are no pull thru sites. All sites are back in. This is our 3rd time camping in Amish country and we will probably look elsewhere next time. Bathrooms are clean, however. Good staff at check in, level lot, good utilities, close to activities in Lancaster Co. Good grass, but no fire rings, pool, etc. Limited activities for children. Good for adults to relax and enjoy the countryside. We would stay again if in the area. We camped at Flory's Cottages & Camping in a Motorhome.

This is an expensive RV park and it has the audacity to charge extra for cable TV. In addition its advertised Wi-Fi does not work properly. In over 2 months of travel this summer our laptop only had a problem hooking up to the Wi-Fi service in this park. When we asked the owner about it his reply was that he didn't understand why our laptop wouldn't connect with his WiFi but that he has found that some people are successful using his WiFi and others are not. He had no interest at all in looking into the apparent problem with his WiFi system. the bathrooms and laundry are clean but the showers are very small. The best part about this park is that it is located in a lovely spot right next to the fields of an Amish farm. We camped at Flory's Cottages & Camping in a Motorhome.

The driveway into this facility has a curb on both sides which makes it a little challenging with the rig. The staff is friendly. The laundry facility is clean. It is located in the heart of Amish country and very convenient to tour the area. We had a back-in site, however, when we arrived no one was in the spot behind us so we were able to pull through. There were only two rigs in this open area and it would have been nicer to have a little distance between us and the rig next to us. It was nice and quiet. Wi-Fi was slow and disconnected often. We camped at Flory's Cottages & Camping in a Fifth Wheel.
