A lot of improvements have been made since we last stayed here. Hard packed crushed rock have been added to the sites making leveling a lot easier. The hook ups are towards the rear so you may need extra hoses. AT & T phones do not work in the park nor does the TV antenna. The wifi does work at your site. The owners are VERY helpful and are on site all the time. The park does get quite busy on the weekends. Our site was in the pine trees and did get pitch on the roof. We camped at Allegheny River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is one of the best campgrounds I've ever stayed at. They have cabins, cute retro trailers, RV sites and tent sites. Situated right on the Allegheny River, there is a great pool, rec hall, covered pavilion picnic area, and play ground equipment for the kids. The sites had plenty of space, nice and level. Bathrooms and showers very clean and well maintained. The owners/hosts are a lovely couple who were responsive, helpful, and friendly. We camped at Allegheny River Campground in a Tent.

Very good roads with centrally located hook ups. AT&T phones do not work at the park. The wifi did not come in very well at our site. The park was very clean with very helpful owners on site. They also had various games/events on the weekends. Our site had to have some help with sewer drainage as it ran uphill. We camped at Allegheny River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in mid-October for 3 days. The site was a back in with easy access for my 47" rig.

The site was all grass, well manicured and kept. We put down some plywood under the levelling jacks and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Allegheny River Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We were looking for a campground near Couredersport, PA. This was the most fully equipped park near the town. It is about 8 miles west of town along the Allegheny River. The campground is on the river, and you can fish or tube the river right from the campground property. It is a family owned park, and the owners take a lot of pride in keeping the facilities in good shape. There is tons of grass in the campground, but the owners mow at least twice a week and it always looks sharp. The RV pads themselves could use a healthy dose of fresh gravel though. The gravel is a bit sparse, so the grass is taking over most of the parking pads. There is a dirt/gravel area next to the sites that would be a patio area, but it too needs some more gravel. Curiously the 50 amp full hook up sites are at the front of the park near the road, and there is 10-12 of them. Most of the rest of the sites are W/E only, and are accessed through a remote control gate that are closer to the river. Even many of the seasonal's which are close to the river have no sewer access. There is a decent size pool that looks to be new up by the 50 amp sites. The restrooms are clean and handicapped accessible. I needed to raise the antenna mast to get a usable signal for the WiFi to work well. The campground does offer free WiFi for general surfing and email. We paid $40 a night, which was a bit pricey for the amenities offered. One interesting note though. When we were on Highway 6 about a mile from the campground a black bear about 200 pounds darted from the opposite side of the street running full speed. It cut directly across our path and disappeared into the brush. So yes, there are bears in the area of the campground. We camped at Allegheny River Campground in a Motorhome.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds we have visited. This park is very well maintained. It offers a pool, putt putt golf, special weekend events throughout the summer, fishing, tubing, playground and pet area where pets run free. They have camping cabins and campsites along the Allegheny River which flows through the property. They are restoring vintage campers to place in an area for rental also. This place is a great weekend getaway for the family. It is also a nice overnight stop.

Some sites are gravel. Most are grass. Each has a picnic table and fire ring. They have full hookup, electric and water sites and tent sites. Price varies with services and location. We were right on the river. It was very pleasant and relaxing after driving all day.

They have two dump stations for those not on full hookups.

The owners are very friendly and experienced campground owners. We would stay here again.

The only negative I heard from anyone was the highway traffic noise. I thought it was very minimal as the highway is lightly traveled. Other than a passing truck occasionally, I didn't notice it at all. Very quiet at night. We camped at Allegheny River Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Clean. Friendly. Easy in and out. Good roads. Lots of level, long and grassy pull thru sites. The trees in the pull thru sites are fairly new so there is little shade at this point. Good WiFi and cell service. I did not give it a 10 due to no antenna TV channels available. Altho that is not their fault. I would definitely return. I did notice that the tent sites are a long walk from the showers. There is a porta potty in the tent area. We camped at Allegheny River Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a family owned and operated campground and it is clear that they are proud of it. It is a beautiful setting. All of it was clean and well maintained. They try to run fun activities for children every weekend. It is not a 10 only because the pull-through sites are short of shade (trees are planted - so give it a few years) and those pull-though sites only have 30 amp service. Their online site will tell you that long before you get there. Bicycles and kids all over, but never enough to be annoying. The fact that many sites have seasonal clients should tell you something. If we are ever looking for a stop in this area, we would choose this one. We stayed there as a part of a small rally. We paid for and got some extra service that was excellent, but that is not included in this evaluation. We camped at Allegheny River Campground in a Motorhome.

Only campground in the area. New owners are trying to revamp an old park for the last five years. The park was clean, and they are installing a new pool. We were placed on a back in site, and when we tried to use the water, it came out very rusty. Did not get better by letting it run. Probably old pipes. No cable; could not get on the WiFi which supposedly was "park wide". Okay for a quick overnight. It is close to highway, and we did get some road noise. We camped at Allegheny River Campground in a Travel Trailer.
