Beautiful setting and grounds very well kept. Helpful, friendly staff. Sites are quite close but being end of season the place was pretty empty and very quiet. Must be a jumping place in the summer. Bathrooms and showers are clean and functional but nothing fancy. Site was mostly level and right next to stream. Would stay again. We camped at Whispering Winds Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Lovely CG, one of the nicest family-owned parks we've stayed in. Most of the overnight sites back up to the "babbling brook" you may have read about in other reviews. Sites and roads are gravel; our site was mostly level. 30 amp, water, sewer and cable. Very clean laundry with 2 sets of washers/dryers, $2 per load. Restrooms and showers are not new but very clean and well cared for. Pool was clean and full of happy kids. We would definitely stay here again if we're in the area. We camped at Whispering Winds Campground in a Motorhome.

Completely stunned by this park. When you use Passport America, you're often not sure what you will be getting into, but this park exceeded our wildest expectations. Very patient and friendly staff. Wonderful setting in a valley with a stream going through it. Cable was good with a large number of channels (for an RV park). Enjoyed the sound of the brook. Very peaceful. Sites are tight for 40'+ but our 27' with a car had no problem. For ourselves, this park was ideal, but for someone looking for the Jellystone experience, this park probably won't be for them. We camped at Whispering Winds Campground in a Motorhome.

One of our favorite campgrounds. Tucked in a valley. Set on a babbling brook. Great trails to hike. Camp store, pool, game room, picnic pavilion, horseshoes, volleyball, nice playground, long-term folks have clean, well kept units. No privacy between spaces, but the other campers are very friendly. Did I mention the babbling brook??

Warren is about 20 minutes away and nice to visit. Kinzua State Park is about 30 minutes away. Kane, about 5 minutes away, has some neat little shops and a good grocery store....and Bell's Meat and Produce. They make their own sausages in about a dozen varieties and every one is delicious!

We had to pay additional for cable service ($2 per night). It rained the whole week we were there. The grounds were filled with Halloween decorations and there were many activities for the children. The staff was very attentive and helpful with area attractions. The laundry had two washers and driers, one washer was broken, yet staff fixed it while I was there. Stayed here 5 nights. This is a great campground and the owners are wonderful. This is a very quiet campground in the middle of the Alleghenies. Large level gravel sites. There is pool that was open through today 9/11. Playground equipment for kids and a pavilion for gatherings. Highly recommend this campground if you are in the area. We stayed at Whispering Winds last weekend: August 5-7. We used to have our family reunions there in the 80's and now we go back every few years due to the fact that my family is originally from that area. I have to say that since the new owners have taken over, it is as good or better than it was back in the 80's/90's. They've put a great deal of work into it. We were here for the carnival weekend to raise money for veterans and our son had an absolute blast with the dunking booth and games! Everyone is very friendly. It has a heated pool, a great stream for the kids to play in, and it is a very clean campground. We highly recommend it! We camped at Whispering Winds Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Pleasant, clean and well maintained park. We stayed 3 days with grand kids age 12. The stream that runs the center of the park kept them entertained along with the heated pool. Owners and workers very friendly and helpful. We will be back to enjoy this gem in the forest! We camped at Whispering Winds Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

In the heart of the Allegheny National Forest. Kinzua Dam and reservoir with in a 20 or so mile drive. Hillside restaurant close by, although not fancy, has great reasonably priced Prime Rib and the wife loved the Spaghetti.

Maneuvering the park roads can be a challenge for larger motorhomes. Our 40ft got in and out but had to manuever a sharp dropping turn inside the park that required a back up. The sharp turn dropped off at a sharp angle to a lower roadway level. The site was round river pebble and grass. Had to use large pads under levelers in the rear due to heavy coach and soft pad.

Office staff was pleasant and helpful. They take Passport but we forgot to check until after the fact. We stayed 3 nights to visit regional attractions. Full hook-ups were fine. Although charged a couple bucks extra for 50 amp and again for cable TV. I would stay here again as a place to stay... but not a place to be. We camped at Whispering Winds Campground in a Motorhome.

Summary: Outstanding! We spent two weeks at spot 27 and loved it. PROS: Responsive staff. Our waste dump pipe clogged up. They were on top of it immediately. Babbling brook. We slept until 9:30 almost every morning , thanks to calming effect of the babbling brook 10 feet from our RV. Family atmosphere Over the 4th of July weekend, the campground had many kids of my children's ages: 8, 10 and 15. The hosts sponsored many games and activities for the kids. The campers were all friendly. CONS: Flooding. Our site was the most prone to flooding. It flooded with 12 inches of water overflowing from the creek. We had to move to another site. This area of the country seems to channel rain storm systems because, in addition to the flood, about half the time we had mud in our site due to frequent thunderstorms. If I had to plan this trip again, I would plan for the dryer months of July and August. Wi-Fi Intermittent; it disconnected about every 10 minutes. It almost seemed to be programmed to give a 10 minute timeout to each Wi-Fi user. This was quite annoying. I would rather see it slow down vs disconnecting the user. When I ran SpeedTest, it measures 800 kbps download and 60 kbps upload (poor). We camped at Whispering Winds Campground in a Motorhome.

What a great place!! We are new to camping, this being our fourth trip, and have found a place we will come back to. The owners are fantastic, even helping us at 9pm when our gas tank ran out. The area is beautiful with many things to do. The campground is very clean, quiet, relaxing, and full of lovely people. The spot next to the creek was a highlight for us and our 7 yr old daughter. I hated coming on here and reading the bad reviews, they were really undeserved! Who can control the weather, really?? We camped at Whispering Winds Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Planned a 9 day stay at this campground because it appeared to be so nice on all I read. Unfortunately the 5 days we stayed our campsite was flooded and muddy. We could barely pull our camper out. The 5 transient sites where we camped were all flooded. Was very disappointed that the owners would do nothing to help out / not able to move to a non-flooded site. Would not refund any of our money or offer a voucher for a different date. I would not recommend this campground to transient campers only to permanent. We camped at Whispering Winds Campground in a Tent Trailer.

When we made our reservation we said we would arrive about noon. When we arrived we were charged an extra $6 because check-in is not until 3:00pm. This charge was not disclosed in the Passport America book or online and was not disclosed when we made the reservation. The park roads were poor, the sites were soft and muddy, and there were low hanging limbs on the access road. We would not stay there again. We camped at Whispering Winds Campground in a Motorhome.

This is overall a nice, clean campground in the Allegheny Mountains. Restrooms and showers are very clean. Has a coin operated laundry room. Free Wi-Fi. The only drawback is that the sites across the creek tend to get very soggy when it rains with standing water in several of them. The sites on the other side of the creek are a little higher and have gravel but they've always been occupied by seasonals whenever we've been there. Quiet, well maintained, very clean facilities. We camped at Whispering Winds Campground in a Travel Trailer.
