We used to enjoy staying at White Oak Campground. On our past trip, we were very displeased. While the staff is very friendly and helpful, we found the other campers there to be very rude. We had a fire going, and the neighbor told me that it was offending him. I'm sorry, but I paid for my site, and I'm going to have a fire. You don't run the campground! With the rally going on, people were walking on our site like crazy. The one plus to the campground is the location and the pool. Sites very tight and unlevel. We will not be returning! PS: Shared water connections! - Chieftain1986
Oct 2015 - $38.00
We loved being in Amish country. We arrived after dark and retrieved the map to our site. The problem was that the sites weren't marked very well so it was anyone's guess as to where the "official" site actually was because the site was just grass. It was a chore to get level but with some creative blocking we finally achieved it. There was also some miscommunication because we were in a 30-amp only site.
With all of the issues the first night we thought about asking to move to a different spot. But the next morning we opened our the blind on our bay window (windshield) and the view was so beautiful that we couldn't move to another spot. We had an open grassy area in front of us and then the road where we could see and hear the Amish buggy horses trotting down the road.
We loved our stay and would have stayed longer if we weren't on a schedule. We will definitely be back. - Frisco Wolffman
Oct 2015 - $42.00
Nice access to the area. Easy to access the campground. The clip clip of the Amish carriages added a touch of enchantment for me and I enjoyed the pastoral nature of Lancaster County. The campground is very popular, especially on a holiday weekend. We called at the last minute, since our plans seemed to be in motion, and were placed in the "P" section - water, electric and a fire ring. These sites are cheek by jowl. Slide outs almost touch each other and you can hear conversations in other trailers. But, it was a place to park for a few days. Nice staff and nice neighbors. - LFClary
Aug 2016 - $43.00
This is a small campground located right next to a farm. Sites are level with dirt/gravel pads. Our electric and water hookups were on the opposite side of our rv, but we were able to position it so that our 25 foot electric cord would reach. There is a creek that runs past one side of the campground and fishing is allowed. Staff is friendly and helpful. - JC06
Aug 2015 - $54.00
Small family campground. If you make a reservation by phone, you may choose your site and if it's available you get it. Friendly staff, clean restrooms. I had trouble with the cable, and someone came within minutes to help. Pool has many lounges but only one umbrella, so if you like the sun, you're good. Many sites along creek. One area for large RV's is basically in the center of parking lot. Most other sites are under shade trees. One thing to beware of is that next door there is a farm and a few times while there we got the odors of what a farm smells like. I may also depend where your site is, so do your research carefully. On the weekend, you can expect an Amish family to come by with a cart of handmade items for sale. Close to many of Lancaster County's things to do. For me this was a 10 because of our needs. But I try to tell it like it is so that others can decide for themselves. - CapeGreen
Apr 2015 - $53.00
We have been coming here for the past 14 years. The owners are great and the seasonal workers are very pleasant. Plan on staying here a couple of days because there is so much to do. Everything is within a short ride from the campground. They also have a beautiful pool, cabins, a large campground store and is pet friendly. It's great, we love it. - frank kattner
Aug 2016 - $54.00
Large campground with many features. Wi-Fi signal looked strong but couldn't get computers connected. Phones got signal okay. Staffer said "sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't." Site not level; left front wheel was 1 ¾" off ground; others in the 800s area also had wheels in the air. - Mtmoi
Aug 2016 - $54.00
One of the best campgrounds in Lancaster County, PA! We ended up here after we stayed at another campground in the area, and chose to leave early, due to it being that bad! We were greeted by a warm staff, and found our site to be 100% perfect. This is a big rig park. Very easy to navigate. The location of this park is wonderful, with many attractions and dining options close by. Pool is wonderful (only one if ever seen with a zero depth entry!). This place is spic and span! Very nice park, and we cannot wait to return. - Chieftain1986
Jul 2016 - $54.00
We stayed on site #922 - a FHU back-in very large corner site with gravel pad and vehicle parking pad. All hook ups worked fine including wi-fi and cable. The sites as well as the campground itself is landscaped beautifully with lush green grass and gorgeous white pines.
Check-in was fast and pleasant. We arrived three hours ahead of check-in time and the lady checking us in could not have been more gracious and we were given a different site than what had been originally assigned but we feel we got the perfect site.
Our site was in the newer section of the campground. - Blueheron2c
Nov 2015 - $44.00
We have stayed here in the past and will come back again. Some sites in the middle row are tight back to back for large units. Space between sites is much better than average. Everything worked fine. We looked at several other parks in the area and there is one other that we may consider but it's at least $10 per night higher. There are a number of semi permanent residents but except for a lot of cigarette butts, not a problem. Will stay here again. - Bojangles
May 2015 - $48.00
The roads are difficult to navigate once the park is full. The spaces are very tight. We had to move our truck several times so a motorhome could get past our site. Another motorhome was being led in by the owner and scraped the side of his rig with a basketball hoop. If we had wanted to leave before most other people left on the weekend, we would have had to asked several others to move their truck so we could get our rig out.
Since the sites are small and tight, there was not adequate parking for the tow vehicle. No "true" pull through sites. The first one gets to pull through, the second one gets backed right up to them.
WiFi had inadequate bandwidth for the number of rigs in the park. In the wee hours when most were asleep, it worked OK. On days when few rigs were there, it worked OK. When the park fills up, the WiFi is almost unusable and that was extremely frustrating. You are given individual logins, up to 3. So if you have more devices (laptops, tablets, phones), you can't use them. I believe a sign said that you can add them for $2 a day.
The owners were very nice and pleasant to work with. However, that did not change the physical constraints of the park or the poor WiFi.
Cable is an extra $5 per night and is not digital. There's an extra charge to run your air and use the WiFi if you are not staying for a week.
The location was very convenient to explore the Amish Countryside but this would not be my first choice to stay again due to the poor WiFi and the tight spaces. - jpainter01
Jul 2014 - $40.00
This is a great park that we have visited 4 times each time perfect. Highly recommended as the owners know how to treat people correctly. We loved the Amish farm view adjacent to the park. - Hotairballoonist
Jul 2016 - $45.00
Mature shade trees, beautiful PA farm views from last row, strong Wi-Fi, level site. All around nice place. Dutch Wonderland, for kids 3-10, is right next door. I liked staying here. Traffic on US30 is very congested due to 3 major routes intersecting in Lancaster as well as an overabundance of outlet malls, fast food restaurants and motels. If you can fight the traffic successfully, you will find this campground worth the battle. - User3064
Jul 2016 - $55.00
This is a very clean park. The facilities are some of the best we have seen. Heated in winter, a/c in summer.
The rates are high....although the campground is very well maintained and has excellent bathhouse/facilities and many of them. They don't offer anything...it's all about location. It's JUST a well maintained campground with a game room and a small playground. If you plan to go to Dutch Wonderland this is the place to camp. It's a 5 minute walk from the campground. The staff was friendly this year. We will stay here again...despite the high rates. - User3758
Jul 2016 - $55.00
This is a little gem hiding behind the Dutch Wonderland attraction. Dutch Wonderland and the park are now owned by an investment firm, but the campground has not suffered from it. FHU site was amazingly level. All utilities worked properly. Bath houses are tiled floor and walls. They were kept super clean. We only stayed over night, and we were well rested in the morning. - moderate camper
Jul 2016 - $44.00
Tight campground in the heart of Amish Country. Kind caretakers who were helpful. The hosts provided me a site where I could back in my fifth wheel easily. Some sites might be tough to back in due to the set up of the campground, nonetheless; I can highly recommend due to the location and price. Intercourse is the perfect jumping off point to gain the "Amish" experience. - Tim101
Jun 2016 - $38.00
Stayed here two weeks in June 2016 and found it to be an excellent place from which to tour Lancaster County and surrounding areas. Reasonably close to places such as Longwood Gardens; even Philadelphia for a day trip is not out of the question depending upon your feelings about using a "home base" from which to tour. However, we mostly toured the Amish area. The campground was well-kept, service was excellent and the owners were very friendly and responsive. It is quiet; getting into certain spaces can be a bit tight. We would absolutely stay here again if in the area. - Edistobob
Apr 2016 - $42.00
We stayed here for one night on the way home from Washington DC. Very nice small campground with good access and within walking distance to the village of intercourse. The campground sits on a hill overlooking a working Amish farm across the road. The service was great, very nice people, reasonable rates, very clean facilities. We were sitting by the fire at dusk when the amish people passed by on their buggies not 20 feet away and gave you a nod, a smile, and a wave as they passed by.
We were in the upper section with our 31' motor home. There was some shade on our site. The sites were tight as stated in previous reviews but doable. I would most definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area and would stay here again if we were to return. - Banditoman60
Jul 2016 - $57.00
Our site was out in the open closeby an Amish farm. Just a gorgeous open view of the cornfield and blue silos in the distance. Very beautiful and serene for us southern CA people. We used the laundry facility which was clean enough, but a bit pricey compared to one we used at a KOA in MO. The owner and staff were very helpful. It's reasuring to see them cruising the campground in the gold cart on the lookout for anything that may need their attention. Needless to say, this campground is clean, well tended to and a plus, no unruly people making noise. Our site was pretty level as far as gravel sites go, and it was very clean. We did not have a toad. - CAcamping
Jun 2016 - $57.00
We stayed for 4 nights. The sites are gravel and a little uneven but we did not have any significant problems. It rained during our stay so sites were a little muddy and had some leftover pools of water. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Limited cable but a good signal. WiFi was available and worked. We enjoyed our stay especially since it wasn't crowded. There seems to be little to do for children, though they are building a pool area. We would absolutely stay there again. - Happy Camper 168
Jun 2016 - $44.00
Small campground in the middle of Amish country in Lancaster County PA. Our site was a pull through. The site was level but the ground between the sites had quite a bit of slope to it. We had FHU's and the WiFi worked OK most of the time. There is very little to do in the park, but the area if full of shopping & attractions. Lancaster PA is a few miles west with a lot of historical sites. The campground is next to a large Amish farm and you can see them plowing the fields with horse draw equipment most days. - Co-Mike
May 2014 - $40.00
A work in progress. We had tried a couple of other campgrounds and they were full. These folks were very friendly and we stayed with them three nights. Once you get to the sites for transients, it is quiet and peaceful. Getting there was hair raising, zigging and zagging up dirt/gravel switchback roads. We were three levels up. Many permanent sites on the lower levels. The utilities were on the wrong side on our site although others were OK. Power supply was only 105 volts and kept kicking the breaker. Only 30 amp service. Luckily we didn't need the air at this time of year. Site was level and there was a nice/steep beginning walking trail. The restrooms need major work, probably replaced. Hubby checked them and said privacy was non existent with shower curtain dividers. At $40 it sufficed but probably won't return. - elaine170
Sep 2013 - $40.00
Very friendly and accommodating. Large private sites. Playground is at the lower end and seemed to be nice. We did not come to Lancaster to use the campground facilities we came here to explore the Amish food, shops and the Sight and Sound Theater. We will stay here again. - Oldman5145
Jun 2012 - $40.00
Very small campground appears to be new owners trying to make some changes. Huge sites, definitely not your average site layout. They go everywhere. Switchback road through the campground. Absolutely nothing to do here except what is at your site or in the area. May be better in a few years. - Hammerx4
Jun 2016 - $1.00
The is a typical Outdoor World. Not well taken care of. A lot of permanent sites which didn't leave much choices of sites to pick from. Probably would not return to Circle M. - jrhaze
Aug 2015 - $58.00
If you're a Thousand Trails member, and have kids, and can put up with the ruts in the roads, you will find lots of stuff to keep you and the kids occupied.
If you're just a traveler looking for a place to park while visiting the area, this one's not for you. The highest price in the area, plus a resort fee, and WiFi is $5.95 per day per device. Cable costs also. Drive very slowly to avoid the ruts (on every road, once you're in the park). - ta96silver
Sep 2014 - $1.00
Rate reflects TT member rate. Site not real level, took 3 boards to level, hook ups good, campground well kept. Saw sites that were closed the last time we were here and were repaired and back for use, staff was helpful and very friendly. Will return. - DBLR
Jul 2016 - $82.00
Stayed on Site 13. Nice large site with blue stone. Had to bring the front of my motorhome up about 8 to 10 inches to get level. Side to side was okay. All ground cover behind site was poison ivy so be careful. Our dog kept trying to walk through it. Some TV channels had no sound and some were fuzzy. Nice pool and water park. Lots of things for the kids to do. $60 per night for golf cart rental. - enfd7
May 2016 - $64.00
Stayed once again for Mother's Day Weekend with a large group of friends, this campground once again does not disappoint! We have been coming multiple times over the years and every spring you can see the management does amazing work in the off season to update and improve the campground! Sites are very spacious, and extremely well maintained. I highly recommend this campground, and remains one of our favorites! Verizon cell signal is good, site 312 is not good for satellite viewing (able to get roughly 45 channels with campground cable) - SJEAGLES609
Sep 2015 - $80.00
We stayed on a decent sized pull through in the middle of the campground. The site itself was gravel and somewhat level. Hook ups were good except for cable which some channels were pretty fuzzy. Bathrooms were up to date and very clean. Facilities were very well maintained. There is a large pool/ splash area that kids will love. Also has an adults only pool/hot tub. There was alot of activities for children. The only real drawback is the price. It is very expensive to stay here, especially if you dont have children to enjoy the amenities offered. - mahill526
