We loved being in Amish country. We arrived after dark and retrieved the map to our site. The problem was that the sites weren't marked very well so it was anyone's guess as to where the "official" site actually was because the site was just grass. It was a chore to get level but with some creative blocking we finally achieved it. There was also some miscommunication because we were in a 30-amp only site.
With all of the issues the first night we thought about asking to move to a different spot. But the next morning we opened our the blind on our bay window (windshield) and the view was so beautiful that we couldn't move to another spot. We had an open grassy area in front of us and then the road where we could see and hear the Amish buggy horses trotting down the road.
We loved our stay and would have stayed longer if we weren't on a schedule. We will definitely be back. - Frisco Wolffman

Nice access to the area. Easy to access the campground. The clip clip of the Amish carriages added a touch of enchantment for me and I enjoyed the pastoral nature of Lancaster County. The campground is very popular, especially on a holiday weekend. We called at the last minute, since our plans seemed to be in motion, and were placed in the "P" section - water, electric and a fire ring. These sites are cheek by jowl. Slide outs almost touch each other and you can hear conversations in other trailers. But, it was a place to park for a few days. Nice staff and nice neighbors. - LFClary

This was our second time staying at White Oak. The first time, we were out by the field while in our pop up. Since then, we upgraded to a 22 foot Class A. We had site 70 this time, which was pull thru. It may have been the tightest sight we have been on. It was perfectly level. We do not have any slides, and if we did, we would be hitting our neighbors patio awning! Another downfall was that the sewer hookup was a bit uphill, and so close to our neighbors site, that he had to step over it while out and about. With that said, we met some of the most friendly campers here. There was a rally going on this weekend, plus the Hershey RV Show, our main reason for coming to the area. Since we were all so close together, we really got to know each other. The staff is very helpful, friendly, and overall just nice. Delivered firewood right to my site for me. This is a small mom and pop campground, which we love. We would certainly stay here again. I highly suggest larger motorhomes to try to stay upfront, as it will have more room. Roads were very easy to navigate. All in all, we enjoyed our time here, and will be back soon!
PS: The roads leading into the campground are very hilly! You may want to think about this when towing. But the view from up there is amazing! - Chieftain1986
