We have camped here many times over the years. The privacy between sites are nice. The are just electric sites, but that is ok for us because we are self contained. Very pretty park. We camped at Buckaloon in a Motorhome.Undo

A no frills forest service campground located on the Allegheny river. Tight wooded sites with lots of low overhanging trees were fine for us (25' RV), but probably not advisable for big rigs. We enjoyed the walking trail that circles the campground and follows the river. There is also a boat launch area for canoes and kayaks. A quiet campground in the national forest within close proximity to the Kinzua Dam and reservoir as well as lots of hiking trails. We camped at Buckaloon in a Travel Trailer.Undo

Great location for hiking in the Allegheny National Forest. The park is located close to Warren, PA which has all the major shopping. Park has widely spaced, large sites. Bathrooms and showers are kept spotless by the campground hosts. One site at the campground entry has water and electric for $30 per night, all others are 30 amp electric only. The other campground to consider in the area is Red Bridge located southeast of Buckaloon. We camped at Buckaloon in a Travel Trailer.Undo

Really great sites. Lots of shade and room. Not a lot of restrictions on cars or visitors. Close to town. Not a lot to do at the campground. Has good fishing spots, and a few places to swim. If your willing to drive or want to canoe, lots can be found to do. The playground is very poor and needs updated. Only some of the sites can be reserved. Most sites are fairly level. We camped at Buckaloon in a Travel Trailer.Undo

Allegheny National Forest campground. This is everything a campground should be. Large, well separated, private sites are easy to get into. Our favorite low, round fire rings. Charcoal grill. Large tables. Sites have 30 amp power but no water at sites. Sites 1-43 have power @ $18, sites 44-58 not electric @ $16; ½ price for Golden Age Passport. Potable water at dump station and scattered areas in campground. Relatively new, beautiful, clean rest room / shower building. Showers have doors and benches. We would come here again. We camped at Buckaloon in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
