The road into the park is narrow and twisting and steep. We wondered if there really was an RV park at the end. Two of the turns inside the park were tight for our 28-ft travel trailer. Can't imagine coming in anything longer. We arrived about noon. The office was closed but our reservation was noted and a site assigned. However, that site was occupied. We finally choose another open site. When the office opened we were told that site was only available for one night, not the 2 we planned to stay, and we would have to move. We decided to leave the next morning. Didn't really mind the office being closed in the middle of the day but since it was, assigning us to a spot that wasn't open at 11 am when the office closed was inexcusable. The site wasn't very level and many others were worse. The sites are narrow. This park is certainly not what we expect of a KOA. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Access to park is narrow and winding once you turn off the main street in town. The primary drive inside the campground is uphill and very narrow. There were noticeable tire tracks off the edges of the pavement. Sites were close together on top of the hill; however they were long enough for my 69' length and surprisingly level. Lots of rain in the area caused our sites to be a little muddy when walking around. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Motorhome.
Pittsburgh Pirates are close by and can be attended easily by using the Light Rail system. We parked for $2, rode the light rail for $5 each which let us off across the street from the stadium...no big city driving or expensive parking fees to get close to the stadium.

Be sure and follow the KOA signs along the road. Follow the instructions given at web site. The road to the park is very narrow, but is paved. Wi-Fi worked good and there are lots of TV channels. We had a nice long plu-thru. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Motorhome.

We didn't hear a lot of noise but some. It's a very hilly park and spaces are somewhat level - very close to one another. We only stayed one night. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Travel Trailer.
Be sure NOT to follow your GPS after you get off the main road. There is a long narrow road through a residential neighborhood before you get to the KOA, which is between two freeways.

There are not many choices in the area. It was quiet and we were surrounded by trees and grass. There was a nice fenced dog play area. There is a paved road to the park. The road is narrow but it's pretty typical for this part of the counry. The spaces are too close to allow outside enjoyment: picnics and just sitting outside. We were visiting relatives and not staying there during the day. The office people were nice and ready to give directions. The park is well maintained. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Motorhome.
Don't plan on coming here at night. It would be hard to negotiate. Use their directions and not the GPS ones. Watch for deer.

Site could have been more level. Overall it was a nice campground. We had a pull-through site, and did not have a toad. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Motorhome.

The road leading into the park is extremely narrow, hilly, and curvy; passing another vehicle (and this road seems to be traveled quite a bit) was a matter of pulling as far over as possible and stopping to let them go by. The campground is on a steep hill but our site was fairly level gravel and was long enough for our 40' rig without unhooking. Some of the roads are paved but have very deep drop-offs along the sides where someone obviously got off the edge along a turn and then water washed it out. There is only one water outlet for every two campsites so we had to crawl under the trailer to get the hose to the correct side. We arrived after closing (6:00 pm) so were not escorted to our site and had no interaction with staff. The sites were very close - our living room slide out was literally inches from the neighbor's awning and there was barely room to walk between our camper and their picnic table. The dog park was nice but no separate area for small dogs. The KOA book gave good directions on getting to the campground and there were signs at every turn but we had to guess on the way back out - some sort of signs (maybe on the back of the signs going in) would have been helpful to get back to the interstate. I doubt if we would stay here again. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

KOA was very clean and seemed well maintained. Very simple. Staff were friendly and helpful at check in. We did not use bathrooms or bath house. Sites are extremely close. The site picnic table was the exact width between our camper and our neighbor. Our site was relatively level, but we did notice sites that seemed very unlevel. As previously stated, the roads are curvy and the campground is elevated, located on a large hill. We were able to maneuver fine with our 36' travel trailer. Overall, campground is clean and works for a night stay if traveling through the area. We will not be returning due to the proximity of sites. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Very clean and well run. Management is very friendly. They pick up your trash at your site. We had to extend because of the weather and it was no problem. We recommend this place highly and enjoyed our stay there. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The 1.1 mile Vance Sation Rd to get to the park entrance is narrow and winding, full of blind curves with no shoulder. It feels much longer than it actually is, especially if you meet another vehicle coming from the other direction. There isn't a level spot in the entire campground. The park is on a hillside so some of the sites are terraced but none are level. I saw plenty of rigs with front wheels off the ground. Everything is on an incline so you have to go down the hill to get to the pool, camp store, showers and pool, then climb back up the hill to get to your rig. Nice big dogpark. The pool was open and being used. Check-in staff was helpful and friendly.
Our site had cigarette butts all over so they really don't clean the sites. The water hookup for every other site - the odd numbered sites - is on the wrong side. There's only one dumpster and it's at the bottom of the hill. Grass was cut but some trees need to be trimmed higher for tall rigs. They're not really big rig friendly and the road in is definitely not designed for big rigs. There isn't much in the area so for our overnight stay it was ok but I'd rather boondock in a parking lot than stay here again. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Motorhome.
The right turn from Laboratory Rd to Vance Station Rd is a very sharp turn and not well marked.

Road in from Interstate was not wide enough in some places for a pickup or SUV to pass our rig. A few had to back up. We were towing so couldn't. Campground roads/sites are very steep and unlevel. Had to raise both front wheels off ground and use "lego" blocks to level. Wife was a nervous wreck during entire trip in/out and during stay. Parks seem to forget that RVs may be much larger than when the park was built. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this campground for one night on the way out to Cedar Point in Ohio. The sites were very flat and level. Our site was long and flat enough for us to leave our 28' hooked up to our truck, and the camper remained quite level. However, the site was so incredibly narrow, there was almost no space to do anything. Each site was directly on top of the next one. Care needed to be taken when opening the slide so as not to encroach on the neighbor's site. The site was so small that the fire ring was in very close proximity to our tow vehicle and camper, where it was impossible to have a safe campfire. There was only one bathroom/shower. It was attached to the camp store, which was a long walk down a steep hill. There was no bath house near the actual camping areas. The pool looked okay at first, but when we jumped in, the water was dirty with lots of stuff floating around. We got right out. This place might be okay for a quick stop over. But we won't be going back to this one. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Not Big Rig friendly as advertised! The only road in and out is a mile of blind curves and narrow. The campground loop is a very narrow path with trees overhanging everywhere, making it a challenge to not scrape. Sites had level parts for shorter rigs, but we were off ground. But nice staff and clean park. Would be a nice location for smaller rigs. Not ideal for big rigs and especially if towing! We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Motorhome.

Steep hills, elderly camper can not walk to restroom facilities. Internet wi-fi states that more than 50 KB usage per 24 hours will shut off access. I seldom get a single email under that size. Facebook usage forbidden. If you think you are getting Wi-Fi here you are really not and steep paths mean elderly or disabled cannot leave the campsite without disconnecting motorhome and driving RV down to the restrooms or showers. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Motorhome.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. For a new 5th wheel owner, the narrow, hilly, winding road through a neighborhood was a little intimidating. It looks like they are making some improvements to the interior roads by paving them.Very hilly inside the park and rough at the exit. Our stay was fairly quiet although we could here the traffic from the highway. The sites are very tight - we were almost touching the picnic table in the site next to us when we let out our slides. Could not get the Wi-Fi to connect. We were in a 50 amp pull-through site with full hookups - it was level. The park was clean overall and we did not use any of the facilities. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
