The road leading into the park is extremely narrow, hilly, and curvy; passing another vehicle (and this road seems to be traveled quite a bit) was a matter of pulling as far over as possible and stopping to let them go by. The campground is on a steep hill but our site was fairly level gravel and was long enough for our 40' rig without unhooking. Some of the roads are paved but have very deep drop-offs along the sides where someone obviously got off the edge along a turn and then water washed it out. There is only one water outlet for every two campsites so we had to crawl under the trailer to get the hose to the correct side. We arrived after closing (6:00 pm) so were not escorted to our site and had no interaction with staff. The sites were very close - our living room slide out was literally inches from the neighbor's awning and there was barely room to walk between our camper and their picnic table. The dog park was nice but no separate area for small dogs. The KOA book gave good directions on getting to the campground and there were signs at every turn but we had to guess on the way back out - some sort of signs (maybe on the back of the signs going in) would have been helpful to get back to the interstate. I doubt if we would stay here again. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

KOA was very clean and seemed well maintained. Very simple. Staff were friendly and helpful at check in. We did not use bathrooms or bath house. Sites are extremely close. The site picnic table was the exact width between our camper and our neighbor. Our site was relatively level, but we did notice sites that seemed very unlevel. As previously stated, the roads are curvy and the campground is elevated, located on a large hill. We were able to maneuver fine with our 36' travel trailer. Overall, campground is clean and works for a night stay if traveling through the area. We will not be returning due to the proximity of sites. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Very clean and well run. Management is very friendly. They pick up your trash at your site. We had to extend because of the weather and it was no problem. We recommend this place highly and enjoyed our stay there. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

They have a wonderful narrated van tour of Philadelphia. It was a great experience and we ate a fantastic Philly Cheesesteak sandwich.

The 1.1 mile Vance Sation Rd to get to the park entrance is narrow and winding, full of blind curves with no shoulder. It feels much longer than it actually is, especially if you meet another vehicle coming from the other direction. There isn't a level spot in the entire campground. The park is on a hillside so some of the sites are terraced but none are level. I saw plenty of rigs with front wheels off the ground. Everything is on an incline so you have to go down the hill to get to the pool, camp store, showers and pool, then climb back up the hill to get to your rig. Nice big dogpark. The pool was open and being used. Check-in staff was helpful and friendly.

Our site had cigarette butts all over so they really don't clean the sites. The water hookup for every other site - the odd numbered sites - is on the wrong side. There's only one dumpster and it's at the bottom of the hill. Grass was cut but some trees need to be trimmed higher for tall rigs. They're not really big rig friendly and the road in is definitely not designed for big rigs. There isn't much in the area so for our overnight stay it was ok but I'd rather boondock in a parking lot than stay here again. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The right turn from Laboratory Rd to Vance Station Rd is a very sharp turn and not well marked.

Road in from Interstate was not wide enough in some places for a pickup or SUV to pass our rig. A few had to back up. We were towing so couldn't. Campground roads/sites are very steep and unlevel. Had to raise both front wheels off ground and use "lego" blocks to level. Wife was a nervous wreck during entire trip in/out and during stay. Parks seem to forget that RVs may be much larger than when the park was built. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this campground for one night on the way out to Cedar Point in Ohio. The sites were very flat and level. Our site was long and flat enough for us to leave our 28' hooked up to our truck, and the camper remained quite level. However, the site was so incredibly narrow, there was almost no space to do anything. Each site was directly on top of the next one. Care needed to be taken when opening the slide so as not to encroach on the neighbor's site. The site was so small that the fire ring was in very close proximity to our tow vehicle and camper, where it was impossible to have a safe campfire. There was only one bathroom/shower. It was attached to the camp store, which was a long walk down a steep hill. There was no bath house near the actual camping areas. The pool looked okay at first, but when we jumped in, the water was dirty with lots of stuff floating around. We got right out. This place might be okay for a quick stop over. But we won't be going back to this one. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Not Big Rig friendly as advertised! The only road in and out is a mile of blind curves and narrow. The campground loop is a very narrow path with trees overhanging everywhere, making it a challenge to not scrape. Sites had level parts for shorter rigs, but we were off ground. But nice staff and clean park. Would be a nice location for smaller rigs. Not ideal for big rigs and especially if towing! We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Motorhome.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. For a new 5th wheel owner, the narrow, hilly, winding road through a neighborhood was a little intimidating. It looks like they are making some improvements to the interior roads by paving them.Very hilly inside the park and rough at the exit. Our stay was fairly quiet although we could here the traffic from the highway. The sites are very tight - we were almost touching the picnic table in the site next to us when we let out our slides. Could not get the Wi-Fi to connect. We were in a 50 amp pull-through site with full hookups - it was level. The park was clean overall and we did not use any of the facilities. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived when it was raining so we expected the park to be wet. But what we didn't expect were all the potholes and rough roads. The check-in process was fast and friendly but the road to our site was up hill, to say the very least, and the road was very rough. The site was level enough and quiet, however the Internet was practically nonexistent. Then we had to make our way down the hill on another rough road when we checked out. We will not stop here again. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Motorhome.

Interior roads are terrible, narrow and full of holes. Sites are not level. Getting to park is well marked by signs which is good as it is buried in the hill on steep narrow roads. The roads in the campground are very steep and could damage units if not VERY careful. The worst KOA I have ever seen. Not worth $10 per night. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We followed the KOA website directions from I-70 East at exit 20 in a motorhome w/toad. The few signs for the KOA were very small and covered with tape. In fact, we thought the place really didn't exist after traveling several miles on very narrow roads. So narrow and tight at places that cars had to pull over twice to let us by. As others mentioned, the KOA site is on a really steep hill and the access road is in poor condition. The pull thru site we had was near level, but getting there was a bit white knuckle. The sites were quite close together and not really what I would consider good "camping" sites. No matter for us because we were simply there for an overnight stay. The staff was friendly and helpful with giving better directions to get back to the interstate. Bottom line... I don't want to be tough on this place because the staff was nice and the campground could be appealing to many. That said, in my opinion this is an okay place for travel trailers, pop ups, tents and generally speaking smaller RV's. I personally would not suggest this for larger motorhomes and I would never subject our motorhome to the risks on the narrow roads leading to this KOA or more specifically to the very steep, twisted and narrow roads within the KOA. Not worth the risk. The free Wi-Fi was weak and kicked us offline readily. I used our own system. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at this park before but only because it is the only park in the area while visiting family/friends. It has not changed in 4 years, still pricey, interior roads are still bad and restrooms are still old. No cable TV, very slow WiFi. Mostly monthly campers due to work going on in the area. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Hilly steep roads, narrow too. Site OK but on hillside not terraced very well; therefore, not level. Full hookup; however, water on wrong side. We carry a 50 ft. hose on reel so OK for us. Walked down hill to the restrooms when taking a walk around the property & it was clean. Staff nice. Store nice. Washington downtown was lots of fun. Very quiet park and would stay here again. Was unimpressed by the KOA in general, from the steep hills to the terrible roads inside the park. The pool was well kept, and I liked that they had a fenced in dog park, although the entire property, including the dog park, was on a steep grade. The dumpster was at the bottom of the hill and walking back up was a nightmare, so much so that we decided to drive to the office/pool/dumpster any time we needed to. The gravel roads weren't in very good shape and the sites were an average size. Well suited for an overnight stay, not a week long or even weekend camping trip in my opinion. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Travel Trailer.

The two lane road to the park is very narrow. My real issue was with the road within the park. The road is uphill and in need of repair. A sign near the top where the road turns sharply warns you to maintain your speed because of the loose rock they call a road. Wi-Fi signal was weak and very slow. Sites are very close together and required some leveling. Restrooms and showers were clean but dated. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
