It was an RV trip nightmare. Truck trouble in the middle of the day. Once we realized that we would not be going any farther, we went to Woodland Campground based on recommendation of a man at the diesel repair shop in Clearfield. The big problem was we had a truck camper and once it was off the truck, we could not move it until the truck was out of the shop. We had no idea how long it would take to diagnose, get parts and repair it. And we were close to the 4th of July weekend when they were fully booked. The owners were wonderful. They gave us a tiny site that would accommodate just the truck camper, made arrangements for us to park our tow car on a site of a permanent set up whose owner was not going to be there that week, and made what started out as a nightmare into a fun three days. The campground has hiking trails and a lake where our dog could swim, and there are all kinds of things to do in the area. We are planning a trip back to Western PA: this time on purpose. We camped at Woodland Campground in a Truck Camper.

Nice hosts; basic campground for overnight. Wifi very spotty and our location too close to very wooded area to be usable for DISH satellite TV. There was no shade at the site so it was very hot even with air conditioning running. Sites very close but nice walking areas around the park. The park is very convenient to Rte 80 and is quiet at night. We camped at Woodland Campground in a Motorhome.

We drove through rain all day. It stopped when we checked in and "John" escorted us to our pull-through and helped us connect, water, cable (not great), and shore power. Wi-Fy worked good. Full hook-up, sewer was placed right next to my dump connection. it Beautiful countryside to explore when we could stay longer. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Woodland Campground in a Motorhome.

Excellent overnight stop or even for a few days. We did not have to unhook our unit from our truck as the site was 110 feet long (& mostly level). There was a lovely pond with a beautiful mowed area to walk around it. Bathrooms were clean, but oddly the men's did not have seats on the toilets. Cable was limited to 4 major networks. Wifi was spotty. Be aware the water seemed to have high iron content & stained our water hose. Using a water filter would be helpful. We appreciated the veteran's discount and would stay again. We camped at Woodland Campground in a Travel Trailer.

As noted by other reviewers, very easy access from I-80. Internal roads and sites are gravel with grass between sites. We drive a 44' MH and tow a car and were able to get into our site (#27) without taking the car off as the middle level of pull through sites are over 100 ft long. Sites share power and water utilities and have separate sewer hookup making one of your neighbors close on the utilities side and you share the picnic table area with your neighbor on the other side. This would be a bit close for me if someone was on the picnic table side but there was not another camper in that site while we were there. Sites in this area are level. The grounds are nice with lovely walking trails around the edges and as noted, the owners are very helpful and friendly. Rest rooms are dated but clean, we did not use the shower facilities. The Wifi did not work well for us while we were there and we did not use the cable. Our hotspot worked well for internet, satellite worked great, and we got great HD channels with our air antenna. We would stay here again. We camped at Woodland Campground in a Motorhome.

Easy to get to off I-80, a left and a right only about a mile from the off ramp. Very quiet setting, yet only 3 miles from shopping(Walmart), gas, restaurants. Owners are super friendly, helpful, their dog Buddy is a great ambassador too! Lovely pond with walking trail around it into woods. Small game room for kids, laundry room, small store for emergencies. Long, wide pull thru with large grassy area (enough so some full timers had room for fencing for their dogs!) Campground is on a little hill so sites are more open than most campgrounds. Seasonals are on the perimeter and all are very well kept. The only negative if you must have your television is the cable only gets about 4 channels. Great place to stop for a night or stay for a week/month or more. We camped at Woodland Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Clearfield PA is the closest town with Walmart, JC Penney, Big Lots, drug stores and a hospital. Only 3 miles down the road. Lots of small towns with neat restaurants, things to do around the area.

If you are an outdoors person this is a great campground to stay, close to lots of state parks, PA wilds, Elk Center, bike trails, ATV trails.

This is a lovely, well managed campground just minutes off of I-80. The campground has RV sites, "primitive" tent sites in the woods, a cabin, a pavilion, a lovely pond, a children's play area and places to play volleyball and Frisbee golf. There are trails through the wooded area on the perimeter of the campground. The sites are gravel. We had a very level pull-through full service site. We asked for and got site 23 mentioned in another post, it is a very nice spot. There are seasonal campers on the edges. The camp store has many helpful things and hand made gift items as well. The managers/hosts are a husband and wife team who take great pride in their campground and who work hard to make your stay comfortable. We camped at Woodland Campground in a Motorhome.

We used this campground as an overnight stop with our 33' fifth wheel. We were escorted to a long, level, gravel pull-thru site which enabled us to remain hooked up for an easy departure the next day. The campground has well-marked signage making it easy to find and is easy on/off of I-80. The staff is extremely firendly and helpful and everything fromthe well-stocked store (with a nice gift area) to the laundry, restrooms, and long-term campers was immaculate. The price we paid reflects a Good Sam discount. We camped at Woodland Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is not a fancy park but it served us well for the week. Water pressure and voltage was good. We got lucky and got the best site in the park, which is #23, and it is a long pull-through site. There is no one on your door side and you are close to the office, laundry, and restrooms. If the parks is full you will have someone very close on your other side. It is about 45 minutes to Penn State University. It is about 5 miles to Clearfield which has a McDonalds, Long John Silver, Dairy Queen, and several local restaurants. We camped at Woodland Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overnight stop close to I-80 but without freeway noise. Owners extremely nice, escort to site, help with water and electrical hookup. Stayed in level spot with all hookups conveniently placed. WiFi was good, cable had four stations. Would stay here again. We camped at Woodland Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Pros: This place is well managed. The sites are back to front connections (like that so you don't look at the connections out your front door). Very long sites. Some sites are close, but ours was great (on the end). Gravel and grass. Wi-Fi, cell service great. Utilities great. Activities on the weekends are fun. Close to the interstate but no noise. Cons: This is why I only gave it an 8. No real dog run but places to walk them (they are going to have a dog run next year). There are some seasonal people here and day workers (but they are closed as of Dec 1), so its deserted during the day. Nothing really to do in the campground during the day (there is a small pond to fish or canoe). If we're in the area we'd come back. We camped at Woodland Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Owners are very cordial and accommodating. The park is very clean and well run. The park is very quiet and designed around families with lots of activities. We would definitely stay here again when driving through PA. It is big rig friendly with long pull-thrus. We camped at Woodland Campground in a Motorhome.

We camped here in September to see the Elk rut. The staff was friendly and helpful checking us in quickly plus answering our questions about the area showing us the best routes to get around, the directions were perfect. We were lead to our site which was gravel, large and level with easy access to all the hook ups. We had plenty of room to set up a 12 x 12 domed canopy for cooking and eating in comfort. The bathrooms were clean though you best be warned about the toilets as there are true no seats, only porcelain which can be cold. The campground was full with seasonal campers and one night campers but did not feel crowded. We would go back. We camped at Woodland Campground in a Travel Trailer.
