Okay campground in Cavendish Vacation area. Fairly level pull thru 30/50amp full hookup grass sites. Great amenities especially for kids. Store and restaurant on site. Gated security booth. WIFI is non existent and for some reason instead of just telling you that it is overused, they insist on ACTING as if they fixed everything. I prefer the truth. Another minus is a few tight turns, but overall okay. There are several other options around also. We camped at Marco Polo Land Campground in a Motorhome.

The seasonals get the best part of the park and the travellers get the wide open field. The food at the restaurant was terrible so eat your own. It is a good place for kids if you have a seasonal site. All in all not really impressed with this park. We were there for a week and used it as a home base. We camped at Marco Polo Land Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Decent place, very family oriented with lots of kids but not too noisy, in my opinion. Store on site with decent prices. Garbage dumpsters need to be emptied more often. Cost is in CAD, tax included with 5% CAA discount. We camped at Marco Polo Land Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The garbage piled up in the bins and stank, the washrooms were never clean. Although the park was patrolled the noise levels of people partying well into the wee hours was never addressed. Would not stay again. We camped at Marco Polo Land Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Overall Rating:

A huge campground with many Canadians and caravans. Make reservations early, particularly if you want 50 amp service. Centrally located on the island. Paved interior roads and grass sites (very thick and not worn). Site we had was very wide and was a back in. Open skies for Direct TV but because of the northerly location some channels are only available in standard definition. A couple of location channels out of Charlottetown. Verizon with international plan worked well. 30 minutes from Charlottetown and Summerside. If you are driving a big motorhome, put down blocks under your jacks because the ground can be soft after rains (but not muddy) and you will sink in. Great water pressure. Good 50 amp service. Even though there are many sites, you don't feel crowded because of the layout. Lots of kids here on summer vacation so drive slowly through the park. We would stay here again. Very nice campground. Place is clean and staff are very friendly. We stayed 4 days. We were in the open section. Would stay here again. I would recommend this campground to anyone looking for spot in the Cavendish area, as it is close to the center of all attractions including the beach. This campground has been around for a number of years and it is clean and very secure. They have two supervised heated pool which is great. They also have a nice rec hall, a large store onsite and also a restaurant. Campground is large enough to take your morning walk or a good bike rides with the kids. Pads are leveled and dry. "Roads in the park, some paved, some dirt, are narrow with overhanging branches to dodge in places, and, unfortunately, two-way. Add a plethora of exuberant children on bikes, and the area requires extra vigilence. Our grass site was fairly level and quite spacious with conveniently placed water, 30 amp, and sewer hookups. A couple of small trees added a bit of character, but no shade.
The free WiFi signal was strong, but the throughput was miserably spotty and slow. Although we didn't use the bathrooms or laundry, the facilities looked clean, convenient, and the washers seemed reasonably priced.
Overall value seemed Okay for these amenities at this price." We camped at Marco Polo Land Campground in a Motorhome.

Except for one newer washroom, the other 2 were very dirty and filty. Also our lot was very muddy. We had to put carpet strips at the door entrance. We changed the picnic table we had for the one in front as it was old and the benches were cracked. The water pipe was holding with tape and disconnected when we started it. We did not have to shower as water was pouring and we could not stop it. It is strange that this campground is a 4 star and a member of the CAA. We sent an E-mail to the owner but never got a reply. We camped at Marco Polo Land Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This campground is HUGE - 500 sites and the noise level is high. We were directed to take a road to the site which lead under low trees - the worst scraping our RV has ever received! We could have taken another paved road and backed in, but the office staff seemed unaware of this. Thirty amp power is marginal, water pressure is strong. The park Internet is unusable during the day - way oversubscribed. We did not have a chance to check the bathrooms/showers during our stay. Good site spacing for such a large park. Some shade in some sites. Paved interior roads, sites are grass. Jacks sink into the ground, even on large blocks. Very busy resort area with tons of restaurants and amusement parks all around. We might come back for an overnight stay, but this park is just too large and busy for us to relax in. We camped at Marco Polo Land Campground in a Motorhome.

Marco Polo is an immense campground with large and level sites. There are a large number of seasonal campers and a large number of children. There are many transient sites available. We had a 50-amp site that was very spacious. Wi-Fi was adequate and we had Direct TV access. Cavendish is a strange mix of natural beauty (national park) and tourist trap (amusement parks). The countryside is beautiful with rolling hills of varied shades of green.. We camped at Marco Polo Land Campground in a Motorhome.

Without question the best park on PEI if you have a Big Rig. Some 50 amp sites are available, good Wi-Fi, plenty of elbow room. Downside is a lot, I mean a lot of kids; however we've stayed here twice over the years and it's the only park you want to put your Big Rig on! We found this park using Big Rigs Best Bet book. Overall Rating:

Our daily rate reflects our early season stay at Marco Polo Land. The posted summer rate is #41.90. This is a large, well-kept campground which includes a restaurant, an inn, a decent camp store and numerous play areas and family activities. There are both open sites on grassy areas resembling a golf course, and wooded areas as well. Our open campsite was exactly level, and wide and deep enough to easily back into. Even though it has rained for our entire stay, the site never got muddy. Marco Polo is about a mile from the Green Gables House of the 1908 novel, and just a bit farther from the beach. There is an adequate number of bath houses scattered throughout the park. The only negative is the lack of cable TV and only a handful of channels accessible by antenna. We camped at Marco Polo Land Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed at this campground during a long holiday weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The park wasn't too overcrowded and the area where we parked wasn't a high-traffic area. There were plenty of children around but for the most part they were mindful of traffic through the park. It is advertised as a family park but it still was comfortable for a party of five adults. There are nice fire pits available at every site. Hookups for a tent trailer were not in the most convenient locations as they were at the edge of the site amongst some trees. We will camp again! We were told by many people that this was the campground to stay in Cavendish. It is definitely not an adult park. This park is for young people with children. The place is full of children on bikes, who do not care about cars coming and going. I usually do not mind if there are scads of children, but these seemed to be unruly. The sites are large and level, but we did not find the check-in staff friendly or helpful. They could not provide any information regarding propane for your RV or answer other questions about the area. There is an information center a few miles away and they are very helpful. We would not stay here again. We camped at Marco Polo Land Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a nice campground. The sites are very wide and room to pull the tow vehicle on the site. The sites are grass, level and terraced at many. We use a 30am site, water was good. Sewer was in a bad place. It was almost under the trailer when we first pulled into the site. Wi-Fi access points were plentiful, and accessible. Only problem many of them would not connect to the internet. We had to go to the laundry to get on the internet. I ended up going to a laundry a couple of miles away and got on the internet through a motel close by. Roads are single lane and cause a problem when someone else is going the other way. Both of us have to drive partway off the road. There are nice trees around many of the campsites. Only problem is they are so close it is difficult to pull into the site. We stayed here a week and would stay again. We camped at Marco Polo Land Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
