This campground is big rig friendly. Wide open with no low hanging branches if you request not to park in the trees. We did ask to be in the trees and had no problem with limbs or branches. There is a wide open area just past the check-in office that has a view of the lake. Real nice place, we would come and stay again. Lots to see and do in the area and the staff was very helpful with activities in the area. Also, a golf course is right next door. Gravel pads and driveway, 30 and 50 amp with sewer. We camped at Brudenell River Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Stayed for 3 nights to explore eastern PEI. Lots to see and do around.

Site was large and separated from others with trees/bushes.

Wifi was spotty at best.

We would stay here again. We camped at Brudenell River Provincial Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots of things to do and see in eastern PEI. Elmira Railway museum is not really worth the "long" drive - not much there, model train layout was disappointing - one diesel engine (not even a train) running around simple track layout in the shape of PEI.

Very nice, quiet park. Very near good food and good biking on the Confederation Trail. Our site was barely large enough for 35' MH but we made it. There were only a couple of sites that would take a larger unit. Many were seasonal campers in travel trailers or fifth wheelers. Everyone was quiet and respectful. Wifi was available at about $5/ day. We did not use it but reception was very good. Actually, the antennae was right at our site. FREE wifi is available at Georgetown library. If you catch them open, the will give you access for the time of your stay so you can park in front of the library to use 24 hours a day. Really nice lady in charge and she was a big help. Gate is manned 24 hours and all the attendants seemed very helpful. . We would stay there again if in this area of PEI. It is quiet and quaint but not our favorite. My rating was 7 for MH due to tight sites. Would be an 8 for other vehicles. We camped at Brudenell River Provincial Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We selected this park because it was a good location for exploring this end of PEI. This park is noted for it's golf and horseback riding. There are a number of pull through sites out in the open, but we were in one of two new larger sites back in the wooded area. It was not very level and uphill, but automatic levelers helped. The site was dirt and when it rained, the dirt ran down into the patio area making the site very dirty. We loved the privacy though. The laundry was very nice and the staff friendly. We did enjoy the location, which put us very close to Montague for library Wi-Fi and shopping. Most anything we wanted to do was a short drive away. We camped at Brudenell River Provincial Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Brudenell River Provincial Park -95 sites – site 2. Cost around $26 This park is big – the largest one in eastern Prince Edward Island. The campground has the usual things that the provincial parks do in PEI. Laundromat, kitchen shelters, rest rooms, playgrounds, beach or river to swim in etc. There are sites that overlook the water and sites for more privacy in the woods. Some of the unserviced sites are the biggest that I have seen and some do overlook the water. There are unserviced, 2-way and 3 way sites. The restrooms are clean but some are more modern than others. This is a resort with an Inn, and cottages as well as horseback riding, pools at the Inn and campground, recreation center with tons of activities in the summer for adults and children. Paths for walking and bikes and it is close to the Confederation Bike Trail that crosses over the entire island from east to west over 400 km. It also has two 18 hole championship golf courses and a 9 hole executive golf course and tennis courts, horseshoes and a beautiful boxed in grass area for lawn bowling. There is a marina, beach, and interpretative programs. Canoes, kayaking and horseback riding are offered in the park but they are independent groups that provide these services. This park is on the Points East Coastal Drive at the eastern end of PEI but more towards the middle about a 45 minute drive from the ferry. We camped at Brudenell River Provincial Park in a Motorhome.
