Beautiful view of the bay from the waterfront sites! Also, sites were grassy and fairly level. Not much of a beach for walking, but fun to watch birds fishing. I was here when the campground was pretty empty, but I can see that it would be very tight when all sites were full because there is not much distance between sites. Close waterfront sites would also block the view of the units in the second row. Very good Rogers cell connection and also very good WiFi, although I am not sure it would be so good if there had been more users. Very nice couple who own the park. I had no power problems, but that also might be more of a problem when it was full. We camped at Seal Cove Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Full hook-up waterfront site. Beautiful view of Murray Harbour. Very good WiFi, 4 over the air TV stations. Wonderful, friendly, helpful owners who have only had the campground for a little over a year and are making regular improvements to the facility. Power was only 30 amp and somewhat weak. Owner is working to upgrade the 50 amp which is basically non-existent (he stated that we could try it but he didn't think it would work well and it didn't). Our only complaint was that we had 2 locals families, one on either side of us who would travel back and forth between their sites across ours. Many locals come here for their weekend outings. We camped at Seal Cove Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Not too many tourist attractions in this area, just the beauty of PEI. Montague is the closest town about 20 minutes away with 2 grocery stores and 3 gas stations and a few restaurants.

Overall Rating:

We were here last year and enjoyed it so much that we came back for the entire summer. The price cited is for a monthly stay in a full-hookup site. The owners continue to improve the park. This year's major upgrade is a heat pump to heat the pool since the solar energy system didn't get it warm enough. The park continues to have excellent wifi, download speeds of ~15 Mbps most of the time. There are a ton of kids around and lots of campfires; if you don't like both of those this isn't the park for you. But if you are looking for a family-friendly RV park this place is ideal. About the only negative is that the power grid voltage varies quite a bit and can drop down fairly low at times. I invested in an automatic transformer to raise the voltage and that solved the problem. We camped at Seal Cove Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Prince Edward Island is a beautiful environment in which to spend a summer. If you like concerts, local ceilidhs (pronounced "cay-lees') can be found in nearly every small hamlet every week. The people are warm and welcoming and lobster prices, during lobster season, are incredibly low if you are accustomed to US prices.

Rate shown is for 30 amp not on the waterfront. Waterfront sites are $42. Most of the sites are on grass. Ours was a back-in that required leveling. Tables and fire rings at most sites. Some fire rings are too close for comfort as we got smoked out by our neighbour. All hookups worked fine. Personable and friendly owners who always seems to be on the go. Not quite half the sites are seasonal and they are in the back. Each site had enough room for slideouts, but there is no privacy. No cable TV, but found 3 channels off the antenna and satellite TV reception was excellent due to lack of trees. Wi-Fi had a strong signal and adequate bandwidth. Laundry had 4 washers (one out of service at time) and 6 dryers. Wife said they did the job, but she said the room could have been cleaner. We might stay again if campground had an area with no fire places. We camped at Seal Cove Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a low-key park on the southeast corner of PEI. It is not pretentious and the nice young couple who own it aren't pretentious people, but they run a nice family park with its own, shallow, safe beach, a playground, mimi golf, a pool and lots of other things for kids to do. A new wifi was installed this year and it runs quite well most of the time. Cell service on Rogers and whatever network Verizon roams on is weak; we used Skype to make calls because the cell service was so poor. The park roads are gravel; the sites are grass. We had no trouble leveling our MH. Most sites are 30A; the owners are hoping to upgrade the wiring to 50A but it is one of many items on the to-do list. The temps were in the 70's while we were there and we sure didn't need A/C. The park owns a 9-hole golf course that is adjacent and available for use. If you are the kind of tourist who comes to PEI for Green Gables and eats at the big lobster suppers, this place may not appeal to you. If you want a fun, safe environment for you and your children this place is ideal! There are 2 major grocery stores in Montague which is ~20 minutes away. As for the mosquito issue noted in some other review--PEI is an island with salt marshes and water everywhere. We didn't think the mosquitoes were all that bad; a little repellent and everything was fine. We camped at Seal Cove Campground in a Motorhome.

We were there during a heat wave and they had problems with the power going on and off. I could only get a site with 30 amp and I have 2 A/C's. I understand that there are 50 amp on some water sites and the owners are trying to get most sites to have 50 amp at some point. The owners have had the place for 2 years and are fixing up things as they go. I'm from the US and found it suprising that all of PEI does not spray a fog to get rid of mosquitoes, which they have at this campground and others we stayed at in PEI. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Pool was nice. Sites are on grass and fairly level and there are water view sites and even a few rows back you have a partial water view. There is a 9 hole golf course for the novice to try out. The office/store does not carry a lot of items and the nearest store is about 15 minutes away. If they got rid of the mosquitoes, I would stay here again. We camped at Seal Cove Campground in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice campground on a picturesque bay. Quite a few grass sites are right on the bay. The new owners are very friendly and helpful. Restrooms are a bit rustic, but quite clean. Wi-Fi is currently available only at the office but they expect to have it at the sites later this season. Sites could be more level than they are, but getting the rig leveled was not a problem. Fresh lobsters are available from the owner who picks them up at the boat. The campground is about 20km from the closest town of any size, which is Montague, where you'll find two supermarkets and other services. All in all, this was a very nice and relaxing place to stay on this wonderful island. We camped at Seal Cove Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is under new management. It is the first time that we have stayed here, but we will be back. Waterfront sites are available on a first come first serve basis. We were on waterfront site B, it is a 3 way site with 50 amp. The sites are wide and the hook-ups are situated so that you can either back in or pull in. The staff is friendly and helpful and the park is well kept. The roads into the park typical PEI roads, the lanes are about 10' wide and the roads have curves and up and down hills, we had no problem with a 40' MH and toad. We camped at Seal Cove Campground in a Motorhome.

We chose this cg based on its location. Beautiful views and close to some activities we were interested in. CG facilities are completely outdated and run down. Roads are poorly maintained stone and gravel. Grass was uncut and electric boxes just hanging loose off posts. Dump station is poorly sited and there was no water available. We would not return. The 3 rating is solely based on the ocean view. We camped at Seal Cove Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
