This is a Provincial Park that is being run by a private group: SEPAQ. You make all reservations through them, and reserve early as the park is most popular. Sites are a bit tight to get into but it is worthwhile. All sites are shaded and fairly private. We had a lot of rain so the bathrooms/showers took a lot of abuse, but they were still acceptable. Very quiet after 11 p.m. Beautiful lake with a great beach within a 10 minutes walk. It is worth seeing. We will be back. We camped at Centre Touristique du Lac Simon in a Travel Trailer.
Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $42.00
Camped on site 107 which is one of the best. It has only water and electricity. Restrooms/Showers are within 1 minute walk. The lake is within 15 minutes walk or 2 minutes car drive. Great for water skiing and boating. You can also scuba dive, but not a lot to see (visibility less then 5 feet!). Bicycle path for about 10 km. It also has a few hiking paths. The only bad comment is about the last 15 km of road to get to the campground. The campground is located in the middle of nowhere, very small community, so the road is old and neglected. Drive slowly, it's worth it. We camped at Centre Touristique du Lac Simon in a Travel Trailer.
