We returned to this campground again this year, to ride the Petit Train du Nord trail...and to enjoy the poutine in Riviere Rouge. This campground is nearly completely occupied by seasonals, with only a few sites for transient visitors like us. The campground is very well operated and managed and the fact that most sites are seasonals was not an issue at all. Our particular site, same as last year, was a challenge to get level enough for comfort. We arranged for another site (mistaken in which site number it was), but it didn't look any better, level-wise, so we stayed where we were. Rate shown is converted to US dollars. Other campers were very friendly and communicative. Over a late season weekend, most of the seasonal sites were occupied, and they nearly all left on Sunday to return another weekend. The campground is on the shore of the Riviere Rouge and some sites are right on the water. We used our Verizon card while at the campground and didn't purchase the wi-fi service. We didn't even bother to try for over-the-air TV reception, and wouldn't have understood the French. We'd stay again when visiting this part of Quebec. We camped at Camping Chutes Aux Iroquois in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Buy provisions before arriving here as there's only a small store, or head to Riviere Rouge for shopping for victuals. We like to stay here to ride on the excellent paved Petit Train du Nord rail-trail that runs for miles to the north from Labelle.

We came here to ride our trikes on the Petit Train du Nord rail-trail, a former railroad line heading northwest from Montreal. There are many seasonals in the park, with what appeared to be only a few for transients with "3 services" (water, 30 amp, sewer). We saw many other transient or tent type sites with 15/20 amp service or just water. The camp employee was very nice and spoke enough English to facilitate our transaction. The Internet worked very well and cost $2 per day which we found worked on two computers and a phone for that one cost. Showers were immaculate and cost $1 for 8 minutes. Rate shown was $40 Canadian converted to USD by our credit card. There is limited shopping in the area, so consider buying ahead before arriving. The park is well taken care of and we would definitely stay here again in the future when in the area. We camped at Camping Chutes Aux Iroquois in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Petit Train du Nord bike trail is nearby, level, and paved from Labelle to Mont_Laurier, some 33 miles. To the south, the trail is stone dust with some asphalt sections closer to Montreal.

You can fall asleep to the chutes aux iroquois (waterfall in the campground). It is located right in the town of Labelle with the bike trail "p'tit train du Nord" just over the hill. We camped at Camping Chutes Aux Iroquois in a Travel Trailer.
