This is a very well run park. It was spotlessly clean, grass and gardens trimmed and no trash at all. We were in a site close to the highway, but while the noise was there, it wasn't a problem. They are usually completely full on weekends in August. The shuttle service is priceless. They take you to the ferry at 0900 and pick you up at 1630. It's about a 20 minute ride. The ferry drops you off in old town Quebec. The staff is friendly and helpful and the wifi is great. There is a small pizza place on site. All in all, one of the better RV parks we have stayed in. We camped at Camping Transit in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is a campground that is close to the highway, if you're a light sleeper or if you Rv is poorly insulated I would recommend getting a site as close to the camp office on opposite side. Geography at the campground is mostly open and flat. Roads are either paved or packed stone and seem to be in good shape. Our pull through site was level, had crushed stone and our full hooks were in good working order. Also noticed most other sites the same and sites were available for the larger Rvs. Our OTA roaming signal was poor. Campground is very well maintained as with the bathrooms & showers were clean and updated. Staff was professional and friendly and very helpful about the area around the campground. We enjoyed this campground and would certainly return or recommend this place to anyone. We camped at Camping Transit in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park. Easy access from Highway 20. Spacious sites. Good roads. Good pool. Restaurant on site--didn't use. Quiet. 30 amp. Water. Dump stations. Grass sites with a few asphalt. Park manager will change American Dollars to Canadian Dollars at the daily exchange rate which changes daily, with no fee charged. Free shuttle to the ferry to Quebec City. Ferry was $6.00 Canadian per person each way. Will stay here again. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Quebec City--Old Town. Ferry ride. Hop on/Hop off buses. 4 different tour buses. Many, many, many shops. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR TOAD TO OLD TOWN--YOU WILL REGRET IT GREATLY!! City roads are narrow, crowed with busses and people, no accurate road maps--there is no grid system for Old Town. Wear good walking shoes--many steep hills.

Overall Rating:

Site 218 is a long, very wide pull thru on gravel and lots of grass. Paid for 50 amp, water, sewer. Could not use 50 amp. The L1 line kept dropping under 106 V with any load and our power protection system cut power to the coach when that happens. We used the 30 amp, but really needed two A/C units one day. We stayed on the site rather than move. Small but nice laundry. Pay showers took money but no water one night. Big pool full of kids, small pizza joint on site but didn't try it. Owners work very hard, try to please but fall short on execution. I think they are feeling overwhelmed with running a park this large. Many seasonal sites, all very well kept and friendly. No dog park but enough space to walk. Very, very noisy, right on a major highway. Would stay again but not in row 214-227. The owner claims he will dig up and "fix" it this winter but I'm skeptical. Note that the wife speaks very little English, which means she has to refer even simple things to him to answer, a real hassle. Nice people, I hope they succeed. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great place to stay to visit Quebec City, 30 minutes via ferry from Levis, an attractive large town in its own right. Parking at the ferry $8 USD, ferry is $3 C for seniors. Wear walking shoes and plan to get really tired. Make sure you see the Chocolaterie Creative, aka Museum of Chocolate. The Citadel tour was really uninteresting. Lots of services including supermarkets, Walmart, Canada Tire, etc, in Levis, ~15 minutes from the park.

Overall Rating:

This campground is located on a quiet road about a three-mile drive from route 20. It still backs up to route 20 and that means a little road noise, but not bad. Most of the sites are pull thru sites with 50-amps available for an extra charge. Good Wi-Fi is also available for an extra charge. Most of the sites are also satellite friendly. The road in front of the campground is quiet enough for bike riding and you can reach a nice bike path after a 4-mile road ride. Access to Quebec City is available via a ferry that is about 20 minutes by car from the campground. There is also a shuttle available that runs twice a day. Shopping and restaurants are available by car about 10 to 15 minutes away. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

Very enjoyable visit here. Easy reservation; we are unilingual English and received a call back to complete the process. Good tourist information for Quebec City at the office. Very generous sized sites with firm gravel under RV and lots of grass between sites. Close to Autoroute 20 but did not notice any road noise. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

Site was pleasantly wide and adequately long. Utilities worked well, including WIFI (which required a separate fee), and hookup post was located correctly. Site was level and roads in and out were easy to navigate. Site was open for our satellite tv connection. There is no cable tv service. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

RV park offers a free shuttle to and from the ferry terminal in Levis for those who wish to visit old Quebec City without taking a car. You can drive over via the bridge 8 or 10 miles west of the ferry or you can put your car on the ferry, if you wish.

An excellent family run campground! The host and his wife ensure that every detail of your stay is perfect. Friendly and hospitable is the best way to describe this place. From the moment we arrived, we felt like a member of the family. The host never stops smiling and personally escorted us to our site. The park is very well maintained and clean as a whistle. Highly recommend. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

I stayed here two nights while visiting Quebec City. This is a very clean, well organized and well run park. I found the staff to be quite friendly and pleasant. I opted for water and electric, it would've cost extra for sewer. There is free wifi internet in the clubhouse but to get internet at the site costs extra, 2.50 Canadian$. Showers cost extra as well but only 0.25 Canadian. These extra costs were a bit of turnoff to me but I paid for wifi and it worked very well, the shower was good too. The main unpleasantness is that the park is right next to the Trans-Canada Highway and there are no barriers at all so the sound of speeding cars and trucks cannot be avoided. On the plus side this makes very easy access to X-Country travelers. We camped at Camping Transit in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

This is a great place to stay to visit Quebec City (QC). The park does offer a free shuttle into QC, although I did not take advantage of it. I like bicycling so I rode my bicycle from the park to the ferry terminal in the town of Levis where I rode the ferry over to QC. Levis and QC both have excellent bike paths along the St. Lawrence.

A well kept park with a combination of permanent and intransit sites. Sites are level in the section we were located. Grass area is well kept and the hookups are convenient and worked without issue. Owners run a shuttle to the ferry terminal in Levis so it is easy to visit Quebec City without having to worry about transportation. Park was quiet given the time of year so those staying were spaced out nicely. Sites seem fairly roomy. Gravel roadway and we had no problem navigating to our site with turn or tree issues. Enjoyed our stay and will return when in the area again. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

The bilingual owner and his wife were very helpful and friendly. Two thirds of sites were long stays and paved. We were on graveled sites with more transient campers with ESW. Sites were fairly close with grass between sites. No trees. The very clean bath house had numerous toilets and coin operated showers. Some minor noise from close by freeway. There was a small laundry. The CG is located SE about 8 miles from Levis, which is just south across the St. Lawrence seaway from Quebec City, and the major attraction for our visit was the CG provided free minivan shuttles three times a day to the ferry at Levis crossing to Quebec City. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

Last minute reservations. Owners very nice and helpful. Many permanents in this friendly community. Pets are ambassadors as is our dog. As is end of season and many open spaces, we were allowed to wash our RV/car on site. Good connections; dump station used. From time to time there was an odor of compost; our site st back was strangely not odorous. REASON FOR ONLY a 9: Showers: way too hot; 1 quarter/3 minutes. Office has change. Clothes dryers x4 do not dry sufficiently; 1/2 my wash was damp and hung in RV; rest I took to another laundromat/another town. A BUG waste of quarters!!!!! 1 quarter/4 minutes; Washer: $1.50. Otherwise a great laundry room set up. Owner informed. Would stay again however. Note there's a shuttle to ferry for Old City Quebec; 0850/return @ 4 pm. We drove as dog in RV; didn't want to be gone that long. Parking fee $8/day. We camped at Camping Transit in a Motorhome.

We travel with another couple who has a motor home. They were able to put us next to each other in large pull through sites. Utilities were good and antenna TV reception was good. The laundry was nice and reasonable. They even had a clothesline. There was a little traffic noise from the highway, but not bad. The management takes you to your site, and they were very helpful with directions and suggestions. It's just a short drive to Levis to catch the ferry to Quebec. We took a nice drive to Montmorency Falls and Isle d'Orleans the afternoon we arrived. The next two days we drove to Levis and took the ferry to Quebec. What beautiful views of Chateau Frontenac and the city from the ferry. The walking food tour was excellent. It was about 3 hours of history and food on a pretty easy walk, and the guide, Samuel, was great. The hop on hop off bus was also a great way to get a feel for a larger part of the city.

We stayed here again this summer and nothing has changed since our last review...and excellent park, with friendly owners/staff who are bilingual and maintain the park well. Sites are level & all services are good but wifi is 2.50C a day and good. This is THE place to see Quebec City from. The ferry is the way to go and leaves Levis every 1/2 hour or so. Levis is 10-15 minutes by car and there is parking AT the ferry terminal...or just use the campground free shuttle to see Europe without crossing the Atlantic! We will return again.
