A large open area with level back-in electric sites close to the water (couple of hundred feet) with a nice view through sparse trees and a lot of unserviced sites in the rest of the area. There was also a few electric pull-through sites away from the water. It is first come first serve (no reservations accepted) and most electric sites filled up by mid afternoon though there was always plenty of unserviced sites (we were there only during the middle of the week). A dump station was available but the only place to fill up with water was at the dump station. Questionable sanitary conditions but we doused the faucet (3' off the concrete pad) with bleach and hooked our hose up to it making sure nothing touched the ground. I would recommend filling up with water before you get there. The location was extremely convenient to visit Montreal. There is a passenger ferry right next door that will take you to Old Port and a good asphalt bike trail runs right past the campground that you can use to ride to Old Port without being on any roads. Even though amenities were sparse the price you pay for being close to downtown is a great value. There was good strong free WiFi available from our site and the Verizon signal was very good. We camped at Sogerive Halte RV Park in a Motorhome.

As I commented in my 2015 review of this campground, this is a nothing fancy RV park, with unserviced and 30 amp electric sites. There is a fresh water spigot at the dump station. As I observed idiots cleaning their black hose from the potable water spigot, you may want to bring a container of Javex to clean the faucet. Unfortunately reservations are not accepted. The big change this year is that there is free WiFi in the campground. As we were in the middle of the campground I cannot comment on how the connection is at the far end of the campground.

The best part of this campground is its easy access to Montreal via the subway (Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke metro station) and the view of the city across the water are unbeatable. We camped at Sogerive Halte RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is truly a great place to stay while visiting Montreal. The Metro subway station is an easy walk, as is the water taxi, so you don't have to drive (and park) to get to the city center. All the sites on the water front have 30 amp electric service, and the views are spectacular. But... this is certainly a bare-bones park.

We were at the far end of the park so it was quiet, but the electric service was pretty weak, especially when it got warm and others started running their air conditioners. The staff assured us that the water spigots on the dump station island were fresh water, so we doused everything with a bleach solution before filling our tank. The park is very popular, so be sure to arrive on a weekday. We'd certainly stay here again. We camped at Sogerive Halte RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Take the Grey Line on/off double-decker bus tour for a good overview of the city. The Botanical Garden is spectacular, and you can see the Olympic Stadium at the same time. The 3-day Metro Pass lets you ride all over town.

We stayed here during the Montréal Jazz Festival. This is a nothing fancy RV park, with unserviced and 30 amp E sites. Unfortunately reservations are not accepted and good luck inquiring about general availability as there is only a recorded message. There is a dump station and potable water. As I observed idiots cleaning their black hose from the potable water spigot, you may want to bring a container of Javex to clean the faucet. Its easy access to Montreal via the subway (Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke metro station) and the view of the city across the water are unbeatable. There is also a ferry from the campground to Old Montreal that operates from 10am to 7pm, later on Fri & Sun.

A big plus of this campground is that within 9km along Taschereau Blvd are a Chenoys and a Bens for smoked meat, a KrispyKream, as well as grocery and hardware stores, so what more do you need. This place can be jam-packed on weekends, so privacy and E sites are at a premium. The views from the campground (and marina next door) of the Saturday fireworks at LaRonde (10pm) are great.

The nightly rate quoted is for an electric site in $Cdn and includes tax; non-electric sites are $28 tx in. We camped at Sogerive Halte RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There do not appear to be many gas stations that sell diesel in Longueuil. The closest I found was at 700 Chemin de Chambly.

Along Taschereau Blvd are a Chenoys and a Bens for smoked meat, a KrispyKream, as well as several grocery and hardware stores.

If going to Montreal in a motorhome, this is a hidden gem. OK, no services except electricity (my rate was with no electric). But this is right on the river across from Montreal and 5 minutes from the metro, 10 by bike, 15 on foot. Plenty of space and the price is right. If you prefer, the water taxi departs every couple of hours from this same spot, which is part of the marina. A manned gate for security. Right on the Vert #1 bike path, across from the Olympic park. If you just want easy and close access to the city, this is a great choice. We camped at Sogerive Halte RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sogerive is a municipal corporation managing a marina and the rv park next to Jacques-Cartier bridge on the St-Lawrence river. It is the closest park to access Downtown Montreal. Fireworks every Saturday nites off the bridge, nice views from your site. There is a dump station. Adresse is 101 Chemin de la rive, Longueuil, Québec,J4H 4C9 Would highly recommend for 3-4 nites for city viewing-tours etc... Enjoy! We camped at Sogerive Halte RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
