Called the manager while on the road and very welcoming to receive us at 10pm and even reserved the best spot for a perfect panoramic view of the famous Rocher Percé. He also helped us get settled for a good night's rest after travelling for 10 hours. The campsites are spacious, clean, far from the road free from noise of the city which offers a view of the sea and the Rocher Percé. Unfortunately, an event happened that needed an immediate attention but the manager didn't hesitate to come for a rescue even though he has to welcome a number of caravanning 45 footer motor homes that will soon be arriving. It was a blessing that we could continue our trip that day. Still have to travel far but our 2 day stay was worth for a visit. We recommend highly this campground for people who seek a quiet close to nature atmosphere. We camped at Camping du Phare à Percé in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A daily free shuttle van catering to tourists for a boat trip to Bonaventure Island and Rocher Percé comes in front of your campsites. Look for a good fish market for your choice of sea foods at affordable price at 52 Rue Des Vigneaux in St. Thérèse. Try this wonderful French style fish soup at Vielle Usine Cafe Bistro in Anse Beau-fils.

Rate is Canadian $. This beautifully maintained campground is at the top of a hill overlooking everything. We were very fortunate to get Site 108 - the best site in the park with a spectacular 270-degree view of Perce Rock and Bonaventure Island. Most sites have a water view, but Sites 103-108 are the best. All services worked well. WiFi and cell/data reception were excellent. The turn into the park is tight, but was easily negotiable in our 40-foot motorhome. If you're approaching the park from Perce, slow down at the top of the hill and look carefully for the entrance that is right before the park office. The owner speaks perfect English and while the hostess doesn't, she has a list of key phrases - both are extremely friendly and gracious. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Camping du Phare à Percé in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We love to hike and had a delightful day at Bonaventure Island National Park. The Discovery Center near the dock where you board the boat to Bonaventure Island is well worth a visit; admission is included in your boat ticket.

Rate was in Canadian dollars for a site with a spectacular view. Passport America rate is available, but not for view sites, so we splurged and moved after the first night when a view site opened up. Well worth it for panoramic sunrise and sunset views of Perce Rock and Bonaventure Island as well as of a lighthouse at the edge of the property. This peaceful campground is quite large and spread out, and the owner is possibly the hardest-working person I've ever seen operating a campground anywhere. The grass was kept trimmed and the large bathrooms and enormous laundry room were always spotless. The bustling tourist town is a very short drive down the hill. We camped at Camping du Phare à Percé in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

A boat ride from the town's dock around Perce Rock and to Bonaventure Island National Park is an absolute must. The boat will take you around to the back of the island where scores of birds nest, an amazing sight. You have the option to get off at the park dock to spend time on the island, or to return to town after the cruise portion.

We stayed at the end of the season when most campsites were empty and it felt we had this place all to ourselves. The view we had from our campground was by far the best view of any campground or house I think I've ever been in. It was jaw dropping. The staff was very friendly and the facilities were super clean, and the showers were free. A bit on the expensive side, but definitely worth it if you get one of the sites with a good view. We camped at Camping du Phare à Percé in a Travel Trailer.

Make sure you get the sites with view, otherwise try the other campsites that are right after this one. The view of the Ocean is too nice to miss.

Great location with beautiful views of Perce Rock. Hostess did not speak English. Entrance is a bit tight and steep. Sites are level, some gravel, some grass. Grounds are tidy and well-maintained. WiFi excellent. Good spacing of sites and easy access at top of hill - might be a bit tight for big rigs to go further down. Several big rigs beside us. Long hill into town of Perce, if walking. We camped at Camping du Phare à Percé in a Motorhome.

The park is very well kept up. The staff is very friendly, but their English is limited, which we felt was OK since we are in Quebec. We had a large back-in site; the 50 amp power was good as were water and sewer. We only needed a short walk to have a great view of Perce'Rock and Bonavista. We camped at Camping du Phare à Percé in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice park a short distance from Perce. The sites are a little tight. The power was good and the water potable. The views from the park are worth the price. Interior roads are gravel and in good shape. The entrance to the park is a little steep. We would camp here again. We camped at Camping du Phare à Percé in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This is one of many campgrounds located in Perce, a small tourist destination. There are about 50 sites on the flat, treeless portion of the site, with the remaining sites on terraces down towards the water. The sites are close together, a common feature of privately owned campgrounds. The managers spoke some English and were very helpful in getting us settled and ensuring we were pleased with our stay. The rate reflects a two service site, water and 30 amp electric. We did not notice that this was a Passport America campground, so paid full fare. The restrooms and laundry were spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the boat ride out to Bonaventure for a hike over to North America's largest gannet colony where you can approach to within two yards of the birds. The weather was unusually cold and foggy the first day, but then cleared the next day. The area is worth a visit, and we'd stay in this campground again when in the area. We camped at Camping du Phare à Percé in a Motorhome.

Only a few sites big enough for large rigs. Several gravel sites but most grass with no trees. If you have a heavy rig, be sure and test ground. We stayed on a gravel site. We are Passport America and got 50% off our 2 nights. Very friendly and helpful manager. Beautiful views of Perce Rock from campground, which is on a peninsula. Great place to stay while sightseeing in Perce. We camped at Camping du Phare à Percé in a Motorhome.
