This park is a really nice place to stay in Riviere- du- Loup, friendly staff at check-in and a guide to lead you to your spot. Good clean modern restrooms and small laundry. Level FHU site on gravel with lawn, picnic table and fire ring, some shade. Small shop at front office, free coffee each morning at office. Situated right in town close to restaurants and bars. We paid $39 Canadian for back in site. We camped at Camping Du Quai in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

A very nice park with wide and long spaces.

Check in was quick and easy even though we did not have reservations. Our lack of French language was not important because the manager spoke very good English.

The park has a very concise set of rules that all residents seemed to follow closely. Thus, the park is very quiet and peaceful. The park setting adds to the tranquility with its location close to the shore.

If approaching this park from the south, the only way to reach the park is through the town, so be prepared for narrow streets and a somewhat steep descent through the town. Travelers approaching from the west do not have that problem.

That being said, the town is pretty and you have the feeling of driving through a town in France. Driving through it does test your ability to read a lot of signs. There is a pedestrian only section that is closed to vehicles for part of the day and you should watch out for these signs. We camped at Camping Du Quai in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We were here only for an overnight stop and did not shop locally. Our impression was that our lack of French language ability would have prevented us doing this so we did not plan to stay in Quebec longer. With no highway signs in English, driving an RV through this province is an adventure.

Gravel sites and roads with grass between sites with picnic table. Most of the area was treeless. Spacing between sites was acceptable. Just enough room at our pull through site for our 40' motorhome + towed. Stayed one night as planned. Wifi was a bit better than good for a campground wifi setup. Verizon reception was good. No problem getting DirecTV. We camped at Camping Du Quai in a Motorhome.

Park was very quiet and peaceful except for the odd Diesel engines that woke you up out of a dead sleep! Lots of bird songs. Owners are very nice and helpful. I'd certainly go back. We camped at Camping Du Quai in a Motorhome.

Our reservation was messed up but the English speaking clerk cleared it all up without difficulty. The park is clean and tidy with a good location near the ferry terminal where the whale watching boat leaves from. Enter from the main road along the water (Rue de l'Ancrage). Our GPS told us to turn up a hill, just before the park entrance and the maneuvering back onto course was very tight. Our 3-service pull through provided ample space for our 43 ft rig plus our toad. We camped at Camping Du Quai in a Motorhome.

The friendly owners speak good English. We were escorted to our site, which was a pull-through. The grounds were tidy and beautifully well-groomed: lots of plants. The access was easy off the Trans-Canada with a short drive through the town - it's a very convenient place to stop if you are on your way to New Brunswick. The views are gorgeous. We did not check WiFi but it was apparently available at site. Very quiet. We are travelling in a small 20 foot trailer this trip but there were lots of big rigs nearby. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Camping Du Quai in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a nearby wide gravel trail to the shores of the St Lawrence and a marina and a ferry. The walk is lined with bird feeders and the views are incredible.

Busy little campground with a lot going for it- close to ferry- pool- good kids areas- very clean and well maintained. co-ed washrooms, a first for us! Trail outside campground leads to ferry terminal. Great views of the water. Some road noise from highway and road to the ferry but not a problem. We camped at Camping Du Quai in a Motorhome.

This was a great overnight spot along the St. Lawrence Sea Way. The town is charming-ask the camp director to make a reservation for you at one of the local restaurants. The friendly (Bilingual) staff directed us to our level, but small site. We were next to road, but there was a nice view of a Christmas Castle and the Seaway with a bike/walking trail. I recommend having a picnic or BBQ in the City's gazebo. The bathrooms by the pool got too much use (those were the ones we were told to use). Instead, we used restrooms by the full time units, they were much nicer and cleaner. The Americans were grouped by the pool (my husband called it the American Ghetto). Bugs, especially mosquitoes, became horrible when the wind died. We camped at Camping Du Quai in a Travel Trailer.

Friendly check-in. Guided to a gravel site which was level. Services worked well. Our pull-through site was spacious but some appeared rather tight when the slides were extended. Fire rings at most sites. Reservations recommended during the summer season. It's a family park with things to do for children. During our stay they celebrated Christmas in July. No pool but there is an enclosed spa at a charge. Did not use the washrooms, but there are numerous buildings throughout the park providing easy access to all. Our data stick worked very well in lieu of Wi-Fi, and the cell phone reception was strong. This was our first stay, only one night, and would definitely stay again. We camped at Camping Du Quai in a Fifth Wheel.

We only stayed one night and in off season. Very quiet but nothing special about park. Probably a zoo in season as has a playground and across the street is a child's wonderland type park. We had a gravel pull through site and good electricity. Friendly manager. Big rig friendly. We camped at Camping Du Quai in a Motorhome.
