Cost for Water/Electric/Sewer site. Large campground. Spacious sites. Great Washroom with 5 showers. Wifi was adequate. Shuttle ran from park to Quebec City visitor center in the morning with return in the afternoon or evening. $5 per adult if you took the red line double decker bus tour (hop/on off) of the city (worth the cost). Great place to stay if you are visiting Quebec. Don't try to drive and park your RV in Quebec City. We camped at Quebec City KOA in a Motorhome.

This KOA differs from the typical, partly because it is bi-level. The entrance and office is located off a frontage road to the busy Autoroute 20, but most of the campground is down a steep bluff onto the margins of the St. Lawrence, which is a kilometer away. From there the attractive, well-wooded campground resembled a feather or fern branch, with a long central corridor, branching off into lanes from which the sites angle off. My own site was not quite big enough for my trailer and truck; I had to squeeze my truck into the space alongside the trailer. The staff was friendly ahd helpful, and I was able to converse easily in English. The wifi was KOA technology, for which they provide device-unique passwords. For some reason, the password I was assigned to my computer expired a couple of times, and had to be reset by the staff. When connected I got really good internet speed on my computer and phone, and no access at all on my tablet, which I'm beginning to think has gotten prematurely old. We camped at Quebec City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a deluxe patio site. It was really quite a nice site. It had a concrete patio, table and 4 chairs. Although it was was on one of main roads interior to the park, the vegetation blocked the view. It was billed as a 65' site but it was 55' so our car had to be parked across the front of our motorhome. The only negative comment I have is that the 50 amp pedestal power consistently had one side of the 110 lower then the other. We were seeing almost unloaded voltages of 104 vac. We were unable to run much on that side of the line. I would also point out that the signage on which interior roads to use coming into and leaving our site was lacking. They should clearly delineate which roads are to be used for which direction. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay in Quebec with 2 of our grand kids. Kids loved the ferry trip with and without the car. With the car, 2 adults and 2 grandkids it was $10-11 one way. They loved Val Cartier water park. They also loved Montmercy Falls. We camped at Quebec City KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed here on our way home from the East Coast. We booked 1 night and thought we'd end up wishing for more time. Was not the case. We were given a pull-through that looked like it had been an afterthought, added to try to get more money. The electrical box for our site & that next to us was right in the middle of our tiny lot, in front of our door, beside our picnic table. It was also on the opposite side from our connections, so our cord ran under our trailer and across the site to reach it. The fire ring was on the very end of the tiny grass strip. I had half a mind to put chairs around it on the roadway to make a point - but there was a fire ban. Our lovely neighbors used it as their garbage can and we ended up having to clean it out before we left. Kids used the pool - tiny space, too many people. For a park this size they really need to think about installing a second pool further back into the park. I agree with an earlier poster that said this park was just a giant parking lot for RVs. Very expensive and nothing to it. We witnessed several RVs coming in (we were beside the speed bump down the hill) and several had difficulty going over the speed bump, one even ripping something off the bottom of his rig, and taking a chunk out of the bump! Having said all of that, staff was excellent! They were lovely to deal with and service was fully bilingual. The camp shop has lots of neat things to look at/purchase, and there is free coffee for campers (I thought I was purchasing for the drive home!) We camped at Quebec City KOA in a Travel Trailer.

$65 CAD rate, less 10% KOA discount, current exchange is 1.25:1. Campsite offered pull through site, 30 Amp, water and sewer. No cable with 4 OTA French TV channels. Verizon 3 bars of 4G service. Clean Laundry and restrooms. WiFi is limited to one device per campground. Campsites are close by to each other. Typical KOA with playground and pool. Close to Hwy 20, sound is noticeable at night. Firewood and propane on site. We camped at Quebec City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

When making our reservations, I didn't realize it was a holiday weekend, everything was booked. This KOA did have two sites, one full service with a patio ($90 Canadian), the other full service with 50 amp ($80 Canadian). Since we only wanted a one night stay, we were grateful. The campground is just off the highway - and pretty much looks like a huge parking lot with sites. Lots going on for kids. The downside in addition to the price was the site only came with a wifi password for one device. By evening, this place was packed, big and small units. We camped at Quebec City KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Roads are very tight and a tad confusing. Sites in the lower area are accessed down a steep hill, turning left you are faced with a divided road. You choose which side to drive down based on where your site is. We were lucky, but I could see that there might be a problem if someone was going in and someone else going out. The sites are close. There is a pool, playground and bounce pillow all at the front of the park. The park was quiet. One of the staff drives around in the golf cart selling bundles of firewood. There are several over the air TV channels available, most in French. We were not successful in getting a satellite signal. The WiFi slow but adequate. We camped at Quebec City KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a shuttle to Old Quebec for $18 per person but if you purchase a tour with Quebec tours, $35, the cost for the shuttle is reduced to $5. We chose to drive into Quebec City and park in one of the public lots, about a 20 minute drive away, for $18 for all day. There is an IGA near the exit from the highway.

All the usual KOA resort accouterments plus a giant rubber trampoline with the usual KOA premium ($C60). Maintenance was far below acceptable: potholes abounded and streets were narrow, muddy, and impassable by two vehicles at a time. The park was many tons short of needed gravel; many sites including ours were muddy after a rain. We called and asked for a little cover where we alighted from our Jeep but were told only, "I'll pass it on but don't expect much." Wi-Fi was weak and worked only on an iPad, not android phones. Office said: "It comes and goes."

"Free" shuttle to Old Quebec offered only to clients staying two or more nights. We drove and parked for $8. We camped at Quebec City KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't miss Old Quebec. Lowest part is mostly touristy but the more you climb up the hill (or take the Funicular, $C2.50), the closer you get to history dating back to 1608. Park across the St. Lawrence ($C8) and take the ferry ($C12.80 for a senior roundtrip) for great views to and from the old city. Well worth a half day.

SharonO (below) had a spot on comment "We stayed in this park to take advantage of the Quebec City Tour. The tour bus picked us up at the front of the campground by the Office. Unfortunately our site was located near the back of the campground. It was a very long walk uphill to get to there. It would not have been a problem except I have a bad knee and it made for a hard walk. "

Same issue, same result.

There was a person coming around delivering fire wood to the sites if you wanted any and there was another lady in the afternoon that came around in a mini-van and provided great baked goods. Very, very good idea to allow them access.

Front office staff were very helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable.

The site was about 60' and a pull-through which is what we'd requested. Little tight getting and out - especially out - with the tow dolly and car but doable. We camped at Quebec City KOA in a Motorhome.

Use the KOA shuttle to get back & forth from the old city. The staff can also book your sightseeing tours in the office and the shuttle is included. Again, they're very knowledgeable.

The park is excellent for families. Which brings me to the reason we will not stay here again. This park is so large in number of spaces and people. It is full of tent campers, campers, cabins and RVs. There are so many people with so many children everywhere. It was as crowded as an amusement park, with kids running free in the streets, running out in front of the cars, playing in the roads, everywhere. The pool was packed full with kids.

Other reasons we will not return here:

The hot tub was cold, they had it at 95 degrees. It didn't heat up at all.

There is only one pool, again very small and full of kids, and way up front. The park is very deep and narrow, it is a long walk to the front. We do long hikes and don't want to walk a half mile or more to a cold spa.

There is only one small laundry area, again way up front, for all of these campers. And it was quite pricey (sign said $2.50/3.50 and .$25 for 5 min dryer). We didn't use it. It was full too.

Pros:

The showers and restrooms were very clean, large and contemporary style. They were nice. There was a large one in the back section too. (It would have been nice to have a laundry area here as well.)

We stayed in two different sites, because they were full with reservations. The sites were fine. They were long enough for our 35 ft with a tow dolly and vehicle.

The roads were wide enough for one unit and were not one-way streets. We didn't run into any problems, but could have. The front section of the park is uphill from the long narrow back section. The road is a steep hill and curve, crowded with tent campers, to the back section. We camped at Quebec City KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Driving to site was awkward as the road is narrow, then splits to allow access to loops on left and right of a creek that runs the length of campground. Each road is the only way in and out of the loops, so it's awkward when driving with your trailer to your site and another guest is leaving at the same time. Speedbumps are way too big and are difficult to navigate. Sites are average KOA sites.

The service is where the problem is. First off, there was major road reconstruction during our stay, one lane was closed and there was an automated green/red light with a 3-minute wait each way. When it's finally your turn to go, the road is just plain awful. I realize it's not KOA's fault but, they could post a notice on their website, or with their reservation email, anything to warn campers to come in from the other direction. We had a car accident when visiting Quebec City, I needed a 8-inch long piece of duct tape to hold my door shut and keep the rain out. When I asked for it at the front desk, I was told they don't give anything out, and I could buy some decorative tape from their store (10$). On Monday morning, we're having breakfast on the picnic table, and this staff is mowing the grass on our site around the picnic table... while we're eating. When I told him to please come back later, he said he's on a schedule. There are only 2 garbage bins on site, both were overflowing badly by Sunday evening, and even worse when we checked out on Tuesday. There is a creek that runs the length of the campground. It's not fenced or secured in any way, and there is about 12 inches of stagnant putrid water in it. The smell is awful, the bugs are having a blast, and it's extremely dangerous for children. There a 2 playgrounds and a pool on site. Rules are absolutely not enforced by staff. Got in an argument with another parent, in front of staff, regarding their kid's behavior and almost injuring my kids. Staff did nothing and just walked away. We will not return. We camped at Quebec City KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Quebec City is magnificent. Be sure to visit it's historic fortifications. Parking can be difficult and expensive, consider parking in Levis and taking the ferry to Quebec City.

Be sure to visit Ile d'Orleans, just a few kilometers outside Quebec City. Numerous food/wine discoveries and beautiful scenic route.
