This was not a friendly or easy campground to check into. There's a huge extensive form to fill out (too much information) which we've never had before and we're full-time RVers. She was not very nice or helpful. This is mostly an old trailer park, we had to go to a separate road and gate to camp in a trashy unlevel field. The road in is very bumpy. The bathrooms were clean but smelled bad. Showers were old & worn and very small (not everyone would fit in them for sure). Dump station is kept locked. We had to go to help my sister for a week otherwise I would have left. I don't recommend this park! We camped at Holiday Acres Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Worst cg we have stayed at yet. Dirt roads with large rocks and potholes. Mgmt tried to put us in a dirt field without fhu. Spoke with mgmt to get that changed to a fhu with some grass. Site looked reasonably level but ended up with a high step when all said and done. Picnic table was in very poor condition. 50amp service would not manage our ACs and other appliances. The maintenance man tried to say no 50amp service would support our big rig. This is soooo incorrect. No problem anywhere else. Smelled bad by bathroom. Probably from the greasy chicken griller trailer. People had dogs off the leash. Another group was playing loud music. Would not recommend this place to anyone. We camped at Holiday Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Don't miss the Cliff Walk in Newport and the Little Italy section of Providence. Pastiche Fine Desserts is to die for. Also, Tony's Italian Grocery was special as well.

New owner as of last fall and he is making improvements as he can. The entrance road is horrible. It is gravel and full of potholes. Transient camping is pretty much in an open field. Campground caters to seasonals as we have found to be the case in most independent campgrounds in the Northeast. This could be a good campground in a couple years. We camped at Holiday Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a difficult one to review. The sites are all different. We were out in the middle of a huge grass field that had a dirt, extremely dusty road dividing it. Every time a vehicle drove by we were covered in dust. There was no sitting outside. There were small travel trailer sites all along the perimeter. Some sites looked very unlevel. Its definitely hit or miss here. Old campground. For our two night layover it was fine but would not stay longer. Very overpriced. We camped at Holiday Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Never Again!

First, a small correction. While the mailing address of this CG may be Greenville, the physical location (and GPS locatable position) is in North Scituate, RI.

This whole operation is orientated to their seasonals. They seem to look at transients as bothers, at best. The woman in the office could have cared less if we could ever find our assigned site, which turned out to be in the middle of an open field with the welcoming allure of a parking lot. Then, with lots of open spaces, they jammed late arrivals in right next to us.

The laundry was acceptable, but nothing special. One dryer took our money and then didn't work. Nobody to complain to at night.

This was the closest place I could find to the Providence Airport (to send out grandson home) but we will not be staying here again. We camped at Holiday Acres Camping Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here over a week. The site we parked on was an open, grass, pull-through area with tents around the perimeter. We found the management very friendly and helpful. The site was level, easy to park, and had full hook-ups. We were comfortable leaving our rig during the day while we were sight-seeing and visiting. This is a big, sprawling campground. As stated, it has a lot of live-ins, is very rustic and has a bumpy wooded access road. We are not fans of campfires and it seems that is analogous to camping in RI. Every site had a fire pit that most campers burned constantly. We kept closed with the air running. I would not use their laundry room. We will stay here again as it suited our needs. Our rig is over 40'. We camped at Holiday Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Dreadful CG, worst we have stayed on in a month of traveling in New England. As others have said, once you have paid the excessive fees (we had booked for 2 nights unfortunately), you are sent down an unsupervised pot-holed dirt road to an area where resident/seasonal campers are grouped. Barking dogs until late in the evening, cars going in and out continually, a rock concert (it seemed), noise and commotion going on all around us (very intimidating), we were so glad to leave. No wonder they state there are no refunds given once you have made the mistake of paying. AVOID!! We camped at Holiday Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

This campground offers nothing but a place to park for a night. The campground had an entrance that looked nice, but they turned us around after we checked in and sent us down the road to another campground entrance that was some kind of a group campground. There were about a dozen seasonal or permanent campers back there. The two or three that were within our site kept staring at my wife every time she walked outside. Sometime around 11:30pm several vehicles pulled into the field in front of our RV and performed some type of maintenance work. We paid for two nights, but we felt a little uneasy at this location and left after the first night. We camped at Holiday Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Sites good size with table and fire pit. Mainly permanents. Bumpy, dirt road getting into campground which is away from the checking area. Phone worked but in the evening we needed the antenna. We camped at Holiday Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

It was rather odd finding your site as after checking in, you drive down a street to what seemed another campground with a different name on boulders at entry. The sites were OK at best. We did not use any facilities except went to the laundry. It is located in a barn-like building which was the filthiest we've ever encountered. We would not stay here again for a variety of reasons. We found this campground nice and clean. It has a beautiful white sand beach/swim area and a clean playground. The interior roads are quite rocky with some potholes but we drove our 40' Motorhome through with no problems. We camped at Holiday Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

I was very upset with the park, it was dirty and the staff were rude. From what i understoof the manager had just left and they were unable to find a replacement and the owner was driving around the campground drunk! STAY AWAY! ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE KIDS! We camped at Holiday Acres Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.
