The road to this park (off Highway 16) still has not improved any, very slow and rough. We've been to this park several times and always enjoyed our stay. Decent back-in campsites, most with power and well treed. Water is available throughout the campground. It is evident this area has suffered heavy rains and flooding conditions the last few years, resulting in trees dying off in some areas. Campground has a great beach and a nice walk to the sand dunes is a must. This is a provincial park so a park pass is an additional fee. Couldn't see how this park justified the $5/night raise in camp fee. All SK Provincial parks now have an online reservation system which works well, however a person has to be very strategic trying to get a power site for more than a couple days during July and Aug. You might get lucky but best to plan ahead. - theswedes

It takes a 25 km bumpy road drive from the Yellowhead Highway to come to Good Spirit but if you appreciate a very quiet area this might be a good place to stay. Sites are back in, good size and easy to level. Excellent privacy, lots of foliage between sites. However the underground is soft and the sites are sandy, so bring something to put your jacks on. Electric only, water fill stations at the dump station and at several other locations in the campground. Lots of activities for families with kids of all ages. Lake beach, playground, trails, Minigolf, Beachvolleyball, you name it. Maybe a bit too far off the Highway for a stopover night like we did, but for sure a pleasant park for a weekend or even a family vacation. - TheSchweitzers
