Access road off the highway starts out paved, but last bit is good gravel. Friendly host who refunded the Good Sam discount as our reserved site was already paid for. We got an escort to our site. It was in the newer section which is more open and has long gravel pull-through sites. Hookups are at the rear which worked out for me. Utilities all worked fine. Site had lots of gravel which helped when a heavy rain fell overnight and didn't cause any puddles except for some park road sections. There was a table on patio tiles and a fire ring made out of an old washer tub. I had no problem getting satellite TV. Wi-Fi was virtually useless as it was too weak and I wasn't able to connect up to the internet. The garbage and recycles are across from the office. The owners had a nice flower display nearby. Only very basic supplies in the office/camp store. The pool is free, but you have to go to the office first to get a ticket for entry. I would stay here again. We camped at Indian Head Campground (formerly Indian Head KOA) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the Bell Barn north of Indian Head. The history behind it and the farm it was on illustrates the big colonizing farms that were formed and their fate. East of Indian Head is the Swinging Bridge in Wolseley which also has the oldest surviving court house in Saskatchewan.

We were put in the newer section of the park where the trees were only just planted. Some shade would have been nice but it appeared that all the sites qi5th mature trees were taken up by seasonal campers. For one night it is alright but not for an extended stay. We camped at Indian Head Campground (formerly Indian Head KOA) in a Travel Trailer.

All fees are in Cdn $ and include tax. We arrived here during the midweek, without an advanced booking, after a 900km drive along the TCH. The registration was quick and easy, facilitated by helpful staff that also escorted us to the site. My GS card had expired but if I chose to re-subscribe prior to departure the following morning they offered to honour the discount. This former KOA is located on the eastern end of the small-town and literally yards from the TCH and a railroad line. The highway isn't really a noise problem but the three trains that pulled through the town during the night did announce their arrival with long blasts of the horn because of un-gated crossing points. The site we had was level gravel and about 100' long. Lined with trees, it afforded some degree of privacy and still allowed our opposing slides to fully extend. Some sites are also very open and would allow good satellite reception. Each site appears to have a small patio equipped with a picnic bench and a fire pit (made from a washing machine drum). Internal roads are dusty in warm weather but would easily turn to mud & dirt when it rains as evidenced by the wheel ruts at the site. The services were centrally located along the length of the site and all worked as expected, although wi-fi was painfully slow. There is a pool, laundry and other amenities we didn't use because we only stayed overnight. The bathrooms are dated but clean and we used our on-board shower, not the CG's. This is a good CG for 2 - 3 nights max but I'm not sure what else there is to see and do in the area. When passing along we would stop here again. We camped at Indian Head Campground (formerly Indian Head KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Gas station close to the campground sold gas and diesel. Separate diesel pump that allows big rig to come and go by driving around the back of the gas station building.

Overall Rating:

Indian Head Campground was quite satisfactory, a good place to stay for a short time. I read somewhere that it was once a KOA, so experienced RVers will have some idea of its layout. It feels roomier than a lot of campgrounds, and the shade trees are well-established. Lanes and sites are gravel. It has a pool (something I never use, even in the summer's heat) and playgrounds and open space to run around. Otherwise guests will need to provide their own activities, because there's little else available in the immediate vicinity. All in all, my stay there was pleasant, and I would go back again if I were traveling that route. We camped at Indian Head Campground (formerly Indian Head KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Small town has plenty of places to ride bike and walk. Great little bakery in town. Beautiful glacial valley near by worth seeing. Recommend going into Regina and seeing legislative building and grounds, very beautiful!

This is a well managed large park. Easy on and off the Trans-Canada Highway. The park is about a half mile off the main highway down a gravel road that can get a little like a washboard, but we just went slower and there was no problem. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The park is very attractive with lots of trees. There is a pool and laundry room. The restrooms are nice and clean. Showers are small but water pressure is good. There are a lot of long-term residents but they seem to be in a separate section than the through-travelers. Roads are gravel and very easily to navigate even with a big rig. Our site was a long pull through in a newer section with newly planted trees so we didn't have any problems with the satellite. Overall good park. We camped at Indian Head Campground (formerly Indian Head KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice campground- well maintained with nice amenities. We only stayed one night - we did ask to be placed next to the people we traveled with but despite spaces next to us they put our other two parties together away from us. Bring your bug spray. Lots of bees and mosquitos at all hours. Nice comfortable RV park. Nearby train blows its horn pretty good around 12:21 a.m. Much of the park is permanently occupied. Lots of trees make satellite reception iffy. No cable.
We had a beautiful, long, level end site with a patio side grassy area large enough to hold a concert. The roads and sites are hard pack dirt and recent rain had messed them up a bit but they were good with filling in with gravel and rock. We lost power twice. Really low voltage readings. Not sure if RV park doesn't have enough capacity during peak times. Water pressure was good, not great. We were able to get good satellite reception at our site. Park is nicely maintained, the office area is very nice with lots of flowers and the pool is very inviting. Restrooms are dated but we're fine and clean. We camped at Indian Head Campground (formerly Indian Head KOA) in a Motorhome.

This was our first trip to Saskatchewan ever. We fell in love with this park. It rained during our 2 day stay which the locals say never happens. Rain does not bother us. The owners were very helpful about the town and things to see. The pool is gorgeous, very clean and well monitored. Very nice lounge chairs! I loved the feel of the park and the closeness to the town. We had a beautiful end site and there were flowers in pots everywhere. Our experience was so good we are planning a future vacation with Indian Head as our destination. We camped at Indian Head Campground (formerly Indian Head KOA) in a Travel Trailer.

A very nice park that is well maintained. There's a pool area plus a park for the kids. Sites were a decent size though a little close together. Gravel pads were level and easy to back into. Staff was very nice. This is the best campground we've found for hundreds of kilometres either way on the Trans Canada Highway. We will continue to stay here on our annual trek out West. Very helpful check-in. We were brought to our site and the hostess stayed to make sure our satellite dish worked in the spot and was willing to show us to another spot if it didn't. We were near a large field that our dog enjoyed running and playing in. It was an easy walk to the town (though most stores seemed to be closed on Mondays). The sites are very long and could have easily accommodated 2 motorhomes! Would be a lovely place to stay for a longer period - we were only there overnight. Rate is Good Sam. Nice park but access road washboard and very dusty. It rained overnight and the dusty access road was very muddy. Stayed in long pull thrus which were really nice but very soft when it rains. Staff were exceptional but price seems a touch high for the location. We stayed at campground for two nights and found this place to be rated high on our scale. The restrooms were clean and warm. The site we parked in was level and had all hook-ups. People running site were courteous and friendly. The roads and sites were in great shape. It was beautifully landscaped, and therefore was very serine, peaceful and enjoyable. One of the best campgrounds we have had in our 2000 miles of travel. Would stay here again. We camped at Indian Head Campground (formerly Indian Head KOA) in a Motorhome.
