We were here for three days in late August. There are many interesting things to do in the area, and this campground makes an acceptable home base. The sites are huge and have plenty of grass and trees. There are a few 50 amp pull-throughs. The wifi was terrible and basically didn't work for more than a few minutes in three days. But the worst thing was the trains. The tracks are so close that the whole motorhome vibrated and the trains runs every fifteen minutes or so, day and night and the train horn sounds loud and long every time. We would not stay here again, although I loved the area. We camped at Willowbend Campground & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Fort Walsh, Eastend Dinosaur museum and Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park are all about an hour drive or less and all three are definitely worth going to. Cafe Terra in Eastend is fantastic, but a little hard to find. Maple Creek is an nice little town to walk around.

We stayed here three days while we visited the Cypress Hills. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a 30 amp pull through site and all of the utilities worked well except for the Wi-Fi, it was almost non-existent. The grass was dead, but it had been very hot and dry. The sites were nice and level, but roads around the park are dirt. The only real downside to the park is the fact that it's right on the main east-west Canadian rail line. The trains ran through all night sounding their whistles. We camped at Willowbend Campground & Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

The price noted is in Canadian $ and fully inclusive of tax for a 30amp FHU pull-thru site. We called ahead while about an hour out because I wasn't sure when the office would close and it was getting late in the day. The owner was very amenable and waited until we arrived. The site was a long pull-thru enabling us to stay connected with the 40'5er and a full size dually. I did lower the front legs just to take the weight from the truck but the site was pretty level so we had no problems there. All sites and roads appear to be level from what I saw. They are primarily dirt but with ample space between and some privacy was afforded by a few spruce trees between the neighbor and us. The utilities were located towards the very back and my water hose was about a foot too short to connect to my rig without using the extension hose. Being an overnighter, we opted for 30amp service and sufficient for our needs. Power showed 123 v on my PI EMS. Water pressure was steady and the water quite palatable. The Wi-Fi access is included in the cost of staying here and was adequate for browsing or emails. There appears to be one washroom block, which, on the men's side, had one very large private shower and two toilets. One is above average size but the narrow door would hinder anyone in a wheelchair and there wasn't any grab rails if needed. The washrooms were dated but very clean. A bottle of liquid soap is provided at the hand sinks as well as disposable paper hand towels. As others mentioned, there are trains and only about 50 yds away. The rig vibrated when they passed by sounding their horns every trip - even in the middle of the night. Located about 8kms south of the TCH this is good for an overnight stop and I would stay again. We camped at Willowbend Campground & Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a nice stop on the way back from Banff. Unfortunately, we got dumped on by rain and we shortened our stay.

This is very near a mainline for a railroad, which is LOUD. The train horns were very audible, even with our trailer fan running. I couldn't imagine what it would be like in a tent.

Nice owners! Maple Creek is a neat little town (visit the toy store), with good access to Cypress Hills PP. We camped at Willowbend Campground & Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Nicely treed park with grass and wide interior roads. Very pleasant staff. Easy, short walk to town, which is very cute. Strong free wifi but perhaps because the place was nearly empty (school about to start ...). The roads and sites are dirt, not gravel, and where they were damp the dirt was sticky mud. A train track runs nearby and there were regular freights going by but not during the night (or at least they did not keep us awake). We camped at Willowbend Campground & Cabins in a Travel Trailer.

Willowbend is a lovely campground at the edge of Maple Creek. The sites, both pull-through and back-in, are very long and level with good power. The Wi-Fi is a little weak, but adequate. Our site was in the open so we could use our satellite. Some of the back-ins are in trees but still have open areas. The hosts are very nice and came around every evening visiting. Maple Creek is a cute town with good cafes and museums. The only reason we did not give a 10 is the railroad which is across the road but only runs a couple of trains at night. We would definitely stay in Willowbend again. We camped at Willowbend Campground & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Howard's Bakery for pastries/pie. We did not eat in any of the other cafes but were told they were good and were always busy. Cypress Hills Winery for FREE wine tasting, mostly fruit wines, and picnic lunch. Fort Walsh, Cypress Hills Interprovincal Park.

Excellent wifi. 30 amp power exhibited voltage drop. I could run the air conditioner, or the water heater but not both at the same time without dipping below 108 volts. We camped at Willowbend Campground & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Willowbend Campground was a wonderfully relaxing spot, with generous shaded sites and exceptionally clean wash rooms and showers. The owners are friendly and always around the site taking care of things. At first we noticed the trains, but soon forgot about them because the campground is so pleasant and relaxing. We will definitely stay there again. This is a gem. We camped at Willowbend Campground & Cabins in a Motorhome.

Beautifully treed campground, clean bathroom/showers, and friendly staff. You get your moneys worth when you buy wood, it's a huge bag! The only reason we rated it a 5 is because it's WAY too close to the railway tracks. We heard over 9 trains throughout the night. Would not stay again because of that. We camped at Willowbend Campground & Cabins in a Fifth Wheel.
