NOTE: If you have a big rig, you cannot enter the park over the bridge but have to go around the back way. The bridge has a maximum weight of 5 tons. Call for directions. Overall a garden-variety RV park OK for a night or two. Lots of dirt and trees, which makes maneuvering a big rig challenging but not impossible. On the river which is nice. Reasonable price. We camped at River Park Campground - Wakamow Valley Authority in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for one night on a stop over. Had a site right on the river which provided some extra grassy space behind the RV which was nice, however the biting flies were very annoying. The park had a lot of trees and some of the roads were difficult to navigate with a big rig. No wifi at the site. Large park across the street and more across the bridge on the other side of the river. Some riverside trails over there too. The RV park could use some updating and some landscaping - has more potential than what it was. We camped at River Park Campground - Wakamow Valley Authority in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Recommend the tunnels tour. There are two of them to choose from but the Chicago Connection was the most entertaining - the actors were fun and made you feel as if you were right there with Al Capone in the gangster era.

Nice park on the river. Spaces were fine an had full hookups. it was a shaded campground. We had a spot that backed up to the river and had some great neighbors. I did not see any full-timers in the place. Showers were nice and staff in the front office were great. This was a great overnight spot. There were some weird people in the park across the street, but the nothing different that the rest of the town. We felt safe and would stay here again, but with an extra night to enjoy the area. We camped at River Park Campground - Wakamow Valley Authority in a Travel Trailer.

Park was nice, liked that part. Campsite was great. Washrooms were very dirty. Toilets leaking out bottom area on more than one bowl. Gross. Showers had the same foot prints on the floor when we arrived last week. Fire pit needed. We camped at River Park Campground - Wakamow Valley Authority in a Tent Trailer.

This is a beautiful campground. Unfortunately the staff is very disorganized. We have stayed here several times in the last month and every time we got harrased about not having paid, when indeed we did. Lucky we had saved our receipts. Be sure to pay by credit card so you have record. Also, we got told not to drive in the grass, but there is no other place to park. Unless in one of the many vacant sites, which is what the staff recommended to us, since they were not booked for the time we were there. But then we got told to move, even if they still were not booked. Also this is not a child friendly place. The full hookup sites are too narrow for room for a child to play. When my children rode bike on an adjacent site I got told to not allow them to do that. The site was even reserved by us for another family! Overall I am disappointed with this campground, particularly the staff. We camped at River Park Campground - Wakamow Valley Authority in a Fifth Wheel.

Road to park has a narrow bridge to cross so big rigs should use caution. Dirt park roads and gravel campsites. Our site was a level back-in that had a picnic table in a shared grass area in the back. Electric and water were on shared posts in the back so some hookups will be on the wrong side. Sewer outlet midway. All utilities worked fine. Nice setting next to the river. No cable TV, but 2 channels off the antenna. Wi-Fi signal strong and broad enough for downloads. I would stay here again if ever in the area. We camped at River Park Campground - Wakamow Valley Authority in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed our stay here for 5 days. We had a full service site. The sites are very close together and are set up for smaller units probably because it is one of the oldest camp grounds in Saskatchewan. The staff was very helpful and are well aware of what is going on in the camp ground throughout the day. We were asked to move our car, which was parked in a vacant site, because there was another unit coming in a couple of hours. It is reasonably quiet at night you can hear some trains now and again but no loud train whistles. We camped at River Park Campground - Wakamow Valley Authority in a Travel Trailer.

Missed the turn to the park like many have. Coming south on Hwy 2 after turning off Manitoba, it is the first left turn, in front of the KCF. Address is 300 River Drive for your GPS. While there are sewer hookups, they are all taken (9) by the seasonal campers, so there aren't full hookups for transient campers. Guess gravel must be very expensive in Canada since all of the RV parks needed gravel that we have stayed in during our travels except the one in Winnipeg. This park is poorly maintained and one of our vent caps was damage with tree branch contact. Lot of train noise, but not usually loud except for the hooting which wasn't often. We went on the Al Capone tunnel tour and it was very good. Wi-Fi only next to the office. We camped at River Park Campground - Wakamow Valley Authority in a Fifth Wheel.

Wifi very limited area. Cash only accepted for the fee. Shower and toilets require access code but were very clean. There are picnic tables at the sites and racks that can be used for starting a fire or barbecuing. Not all sites do 50 amp or 30 amp. My wife loves this campground. Very nice spa with geothermal heated water in town. Spa has an excellent dining room. Tunnels of Moose Jaw are worth a visit. There is a Flying J fuel station 370 North Service Rd. Grass sites in park by river. Walking distance to downtown and mineral spa. The bridge says there is a 10 ton limit but it seems to be an error as many large vehicles pass over it all the time. We camped at River Park Campground - Wakamow Valley Authority in a Motorhome.
