We got notice in August that this park is closed. No reason given. - pubtopoub
We love it here and are going back for our 5th winter. I agree w/ everything the above review says. Beautiful beach, cool clean usually empty pool, 9 villas sparsely furnished in the kitchen dept .. but that MAY change as the Canos sold the park to a Mazatlan venu in spring and they may update the villas. Rates will stay the same for 2012-13 for sure for RV sites. They will also add a small restaurant this year, according to FaceBook. Mostly Canadians, the token Americans, us. Not all beach lots are reserved anymore .. A monthly rate comes to about $13 per day at current rates. $4080p a month. The Canos took the washer/dryer, but expect them to be replaced. No vendors, no worries, lovely quiet safe, friendly spot. The Canos sold the 5 gallon jugs of water for 12p and expect that to continue, so you don't need to treat and drink your own water. But water is quite good and we use it as is for dishes and teeth brusching, etc. Road in can be very rough in Nov, but does get grated eventually. Lovely area, all pepper and tomato and tomatillo fields you can watch all winter. Fish guy comes every week .. fresh fish and shrimp. No veg truck in recent years .. wahhh ... I expect the website listed does not work anymore, don't know about the phone. Just come ... there are always sites available ... often even beach front sites. - pubtopoub
Beach was outstanding and utterly private. Most of the spots next to the beach are taken by long-term campers. The pool was very nice but unheated, so it was a little cold in January. The bath houses were fairly nice—just be sure to bring your own toilet paper. We absolutely loved the level concrete parking pads. We filled our water tank and treated it, and the water tasted good, not metallic or sulfurous, as beach water sometimes does. We would have given the place a 10, except that the roads inside the park are very rough. Plus, the one-lane sand access road made me glad we have four-wheel drive. It was dicey getting past a school bus on the way out of the park. - Family on the road
