We are currently staying here for 2 months. The park has a nice beachfront location and if you are near the front, there is a nice view to Alcatraz Island. The beachfront location was very convenient for kayaking. It is just a few steps to the old town, grocery shopping and local restaurants. It is a short walk along the beach to the pier. The park appears to have a majority of long term residents. Tin roofs over old trailers give a somewhat untidy look. The water pressure is very low, so we have to periodically fill the onboard tank and use the water pump. The electric is typical Mexican, sometimes high and sometimes low. During the past 3 weeks our surge protector kicked us off once. By the way, be prepared to hook up on the wrong side. There is a French baker in a 5th wheel who bakes delicious bread and rolls once a week. Unfortunately, a word of caution: petty theft seems to be prevalent. Our neighbors "lost" a BBQ and we "lost" an outdoor rug. We reported this to the office but they did not seem to take it too seriously. We no longer feel comfortable in this park, which is a pity, as it is in a good location. We camped at Islandia Marina RV Park Caming in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: April, 2008 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park for 10 days in early April. We had a beachfront site. Water pressure was pitiful, but not a problem. We, and others, filled our tanks and used our waterpumps. The remaining winter residents were polite, friendly and pleasant. The wifi was excellent. The staff was friendly. Old Kino was quaint. We truly enjoyed our stay. We camped at Islandia Marina RV Park Caming in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: December, 2007 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is the only park in old Kino. It is right on the beach. Rates are $18/night, $105/wk, and $318/month. Water pressure is very low, so we all either use our tanks or put an RV water pump between the hose bib and the RV. The place fills up during the season. Next year we are going to arrive in October and stake our claim. Staff are terrific. Shrimp is available in the park and from vendors who drive through. We didn't arrive early enough to get a pull-through, and it took some juggling to get our 40' Bulgemobile into a site. Many of the sites are taken by folks who just pay for the whole year ($1,900) and come down for the season. The old town of Kino is a real Mexican fishing village. We camped at Islandia Marina RV Park Caming in a Motorhome.
