Apr 2016 - $20.00
$20 interior, $35 beachfront. Cash only at the reef. Always prefer Reef over other parks in area..less crowded...50 amp service...bigger sites...That being said, it is just a large gravel/sand lot, with utilities, that's truly on the ocean. We prefer first row interior since our fiver doesn't have a rear window..but our side views are spectacular, so we prefer the #13 sites..this time E-13. Spent three weeks this year. No reservation as it was after the more crowded Easter/Spring break month...but even then we found out the park was only about 1/2 full. Reservations never really needed unless you want beachfront during Jan...then you might have to move around during your stay as your site might be reserved during your visit.
Power was fine, water pressure varied a lot, sewer fine. Wi-fi at our site was ok..adequate for email, surfing etc, but not video of course. Others complained about poor wi-fi at their spots.
At&T cell works great..3g. Direct Tv solid and you see LOTS of dish and direct tv dishes all over puerto penasco. Had fiberglass work done to touch up dings and scratches on my rig...fantastic work by Oscar at a GREAT price. Finished up with a full 40' wash/wax on my rig and truck for just under $100!!
Windy generally. Tremendous tides, wonderful beachcombing. Short drive into town. Vendors on beach, no problems...massages, pedicures etc right at your rig. Propane truck comes through.
Security. English spoken almost everywhere. Dollars or Pesos. Pemex takes credit cards now in some locations. What's not to like?
Definitely be back. - Brujomar

We didn't actually camp here this year (we stayed in a condo), but we spent a lot of time there visiting friends who were here for a week.
The park is unchanged from previous years, except that the Wi-Fi signal is stronger (I noticed a new tower in the middle of the park), although the Internet connection still varies from poor to excellent hour by hour. Our friends occupied three sites, and they all reported good 30/50 amp power and much better water pressure than we have had in previous years. There were coin-operated dryers in the laundry, but the washing machines were here only because they had been rented for a caravan that was here earlier. They were supposed to disappear any day.
The unpaved road to the park and to nearby La Cholla seemed to be graded and watered much more frequently than in previous years.
The desk staff speak perfect English and can arrange for a mobile RV tech if you need one. One of our friends had a plumbing leak (broken fitting at the water heater) when they arrived, and the mobile tech fixed it for $20. The desk is also the contact for the crew that washes rigs in the park. They will wash AND wax your rig for $1.50/foot, plus $10 to wash the roof. They do an excellent job and are happy to schedule it to just before you leave.
In my opinion, this is by far the best park in Puerto Peñasco. Compared to the other full-hookup parks in town, the sites are much, much bigger and the prices are much lower. It's about three miles to downtown, but it's an easy drive. Unless you want a beachfront site ($35), no reservations are ever necessary. We prefer the $20 sites, which are still a few steps from the beach but don't have other campers and the roving vendors right in your site. - Denali
Jul 2015 - $23.00
We stayed here 4 nights with a waterfront site. Park was not very busy, but staff is attentive and very helpful. Hot days but fresh breeze always and very cool nights. Would have rated higher, but WiFi is sporadic (sometimes awesome, sometimes non-functional), and location of power/water is at opposite end of rig if you park facing the Sea of Cortez. Great view, but this arrangement means very difficult to connect to power/water/sewer if in a long rig.
Some may find it a bit primitive (not all paved and manicured) but we loved the experience. - ziaptrn
Apr 2015 - $29.00
We were lucky to be able to reserve a beachfront space for the first time, as those spaces usually get taken quickly. Celebrated our anniversary with some friends we see there every year. Love the park, we go every year for Thanksgiving, and usually in the spring also. The beach is wonderful, and the staff and security always treat us like family. Best rv park in town without question. - joester
Jan 2012 - $21.00
Spent three weeks here. Rate was 126.00 per week. Knowledgeable staff, and clean park. Dusty. On the beach. Nice park, returning next year for a month. - rehless
Mar 2009 - $21.00
We stayed two weeks and had some great weather, except for a couple windy days. Wide and level gravel sites, shared electric/water hookups. Two laundromats were open all hours. The beach is wide and clean, but the swimming area is rocky bottom. Some local vendors walk the beach, but aren't annoying. Loud music on weekends coming from a bar 1/2 block away was tolerable. Restaurants, Pemex gas, markets, banks and the Malecon are all within a ten minute drive. Wi-Fi had a good, fast signal. - Makanamommy
Mar 2016 - $20.00
This was our first (hopefully not last) visit to Punta Peñasco. What a beautiful beach and lovely, peaceful, hospitable setting. The reservation system worked perfectly, and while spaces are tight - very tight - with aid we were able to park and relax/unwind for six days. We're told that, for a small fee, the park staff will skillfully place your rig in the assigned site.
Park WiFi left much to be desired, however it was totally acceptable within the "reading room." Staff was friendly and responsive. It was a good experience; we would return in a heartbeat! - CO2RV
Feb 2016 - $24.00
Tight back in sites and not all the same size so we had a rig park within inches of our awning. Nice staff, gave good advice and helped us with the nearby hospital. Vendors were in the park but very respectful if you did not want to buy or have your rig washed.
Hot tub was nice and a good clubhouse. Cheap laundry! - John WD Smith
Apr 2015 - $24.00
We stayed here in December and liked it so well, we came back. There are activities for campers (Bingo, exercise classes, etc.) and all are invited to participate. Sites are adequate and are full service. WiFi is better on some sites than others, but if you avoid peak times, you should be okay. The people at the park are very friendly and help whenever they can arranging for outside vendors to clean, paint, etc. Some of the vendors are more reliable than others, so we recommend checking with other campers who had work done to get recommendations before you sign up. We plan to go back to Rocky Point this fall and will stay at Playa Bonita once again. - Bobbi1948
Feb 2016 - $10.00
Dry camping in Puerto Penasco. Very good hosts, friendly and great information on the area. Beautiful seaviews. Dump station but nothing else at the site. Has showers and laundry. Will stay here again, after being packed into the other parks in the town. - John WD Smith
