We had a great time at Solitude Point. Very clean and the owners were very helpful in making our stay the best ever. Our site was on a concrete pad with table. Many water falls were very close and Brevard nc was also close to visit. We will certainly return to Solitude Point! We camped at Solitude Pointe in a Fifth Wheel.

Very narrow road to top of hill to register! Staff very nice and takes you back down to your site. Lower sites gravel, upper sites paved. We are 45' so had a large back in - not easy to level but doable for a few days. Very peaceful. Wifi excellent. Off the beaten path but not too far from scenic drives. We camped at Solitude Pointe in a Motorhome.

We stayed at Solitude Pointe for a little less than a month (reflected in price above) and enjoyed the peaceful park like atmosphere very much. This is the first campground we stayed at that provides an outside garbage can that they empty. That is so much nicer than seeing bags of trash everywhere. I highly recommend the Sat evening group camp fire -it's a great chance to meet others and enjoy a lovely fire. We paid a monthly rate plus electricity cost. Laundry is $2.50 per wash and $2.50 per dry on the honor system. Our site was a bit difficult to back into and required us to remove our hitch, it was just too much of a drop back into it, but the owner helped and it was much appreciated. But once in, it was level and paved so we stayed very clean. Our Verizon was non existent so we finally purchased a booster and then got three bars with that. Wifi was adequate but a bit spotty over the month. I think the owner installed some new repeaters and then it was much better. If you want to use a dish, I recommend the sites closer to the road, there is just no way at the top. Hiking is the main attraction around these parts. We camped at Solitude Pointe in a Motorhome.

Go to Aunt Sue's build a burger night on Saturday night. Friday nights was a blue grass seafood buffet. Travelers Rest has some wonderful little restaurants that are so reasonable!

The CG was very clean and well kept. The owners assisted us in getting our 5th wheel in the best location and knew exactly how to get it level. They also had a wonderful devotional Sunday morning along with refreshments. Will definitely go back in the future. We camped at Solitude Pointe in a Fifth Wheel.

The park owners were wonderful. We had a pull thru and one of them escorted us to the site and helped my husband level the camper. We had wonderful neighbors for the short time we were there. We had trouble with the hydraulic lifts and one of the owners helped get things back in order. He is very knowledgeable and helpful. We attended the devotional service on Sunday and the owner did a wonderful job. Great place to relax or hike or explore. We camped at Solitude Pointe in a Fifth Wheel.

Their name says it all. Beautiful place, well kept by the friendly and very personable owners/hosts. After checking in at the cozy office and store at the top of the hill, you are guided to your site and they will assist in getting you parked and set up as needed. There are lovely cabins and a small playground for kids. However, because they stress peacefulness and quiet, which is what we needed, if you have active young children this might not be the place for you...check in instead at a KOA or Yogi Bear! The place is in the woods, no direct views of the mountains, but it certainly is a gem and very manicured. We are very happy with our stay and will be back! We camped at Solitude Pointe in a Motorhome.

Solitude Pointe Cabins and RV, owner at Solitude Pointe responded to this review

Thank you so much for your kind words. We are glad you found us and enjoyed your stay! We do attempt to provide much-needed solitude for our guests, young and old. We are a family friendly place and enjoy listening to the chatter of children on the playground enjoying Solitude. For the benefit of all of our guests, however, we do discourage large, loud groups and parties. Please come back and see us again - at some Pointe, everyone needs more Solitude!

Our favorite CG for accessing DuPont SF, Pisgah NF and Brevard, NC. Our annual visits here for the past 4 years have been consistently wonderful! Quiet and relaxing small CG ran by a family that truly cares for its customers. Clean, spacious sites, 2 private immaculately clean bathrooms and the only laundry room that I have ever used in 20+ of camping :) The upper loop sites are shaded and buffered with small brush for privacy. The lower loop sites are a bit more more "open" but spacious enough to give you plenty of privacy. Large power line ROW is perfect for walking your fur babies. We enjoy this CG so much and look forward to our return trips. We camped at Solitude Pointe in a Travel Trailer.

The word solitude is an understatement. The park is in the middle of the woods/forest. The owners are lovely and very accommodating. If you need something, they will try to get it for you. There is no cable tv and using a satellite dish in the middle of the forest is close to impossible. Getting local over the air TV can be tricky at times due to the mountainous terrain. We camped at Solitude Pointe in a Motorhome.

Solitude Pointe Cabins and RV, owner at Solitude Pointe responded to this review

Thank you for your review! We agree that solitude means different things to different people. Directv HD is almost impossible to pick up, however Directv standard and Dish tv work fine, for those guests who travel with their own paid tv service. Most guests with powered antennas get at least 12 over the air channels. If watching television is important to you while camping, we'll be glad to try to help you choose the best site for your situation.

Everything was great. When we arrived, we were guided into our site, which I was very thankful for. Only a month into full-time RVing, I am not the best person to guide my husband into spots. While it was a little tight to get in, we had plenty of room for trailer, vehicle, picnic table and an area for chairs and tables. Sadly, our timing was bad, as we were there when the wildfires were going crazy in North Carolina. Control fires were staged near us, and with a cold front expected, winds were due to shift. For the worse. So we put the home on the road and headed south. If we go back that way, we will definitely stay there again. We camped at Solitude Pointe in a Travel Trailer.

This is a wonderful CG for relaxation and reflection. We've been coming here for the last 3 years and we've never been disappointed. The owners live on site and truly care about your experience. CG is immaculately clean (bathroom and laundry room A+) and all sites are paved and offer enough privacy between campers. Plenty of places to walk our babies. Owner guides you into sites (back in). Uplifting Sunday morning devotion and light breakfast. They have a small playground and is VERY family friendly BUT if you're looking for a CG to entertain you with activities this one is not it. Rather it is a wonderful place to reconnect with your spouse and/or kids (or furry babies). It's an ideal location for hiking Table Rock (better eat your Wheaties!), DuPont SF (a must!!) and Pisgah NF. Brevard is only 45 minutes away (lunch at Square Root and dinner at Mario Tratorria). Happy camping! We camped at Solitude Pointe in a Travel Trailer.

Great place! Really out in the woods! 50amp service and sewer available. Only 14 spots, so have to be lucky to get one. Manager was friendly and helpful....he even helped us park our camper! Spots are not as secluded as we thought, but they were wide, shady and quiet. Wifi was outstanding, though no cable TV was available. Rained hard during our stay, but water drained off nicely. We stayed at Solitude Point in a 40' motorhome for a week. Stay a week and the 7th night is free. It was a small RV park in the mountains among pine trees and was very quiet and serene. The owners were so accommodating from the moment we arrived. We were guided to our site and the owner even started a fire for us in the fire pit. If towing a vehicle, we recommend to disconnect prior to arriving since the park office is uphill and located at the top. Excellent Wi-Fi and satellite was available if needed. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped at Solitude Pointe in a Motorhome.
