16 Parks near Conway, South Carolina
Jun 2013 - $50.00
We arrived after hours and for some reason the park owners insisted on meeting us and leading us in ( I think so they could collect their money). They asked us what year our rv was for some reason, but when we got there we noticed more 70 and 80 model units there than newer ones. They parked us in the middle of a field. The hookups were placed so far away that we had to go buy extensions for everything. There is no dumpster on site and the website advertises that they have trailer side trash pickup. We were informed that we are responsible for our own trash and not to leave it outside!! They don't have a laundromat on site either so be prepared to find one. We were there during the rain so the rv floor got filthy from all of the mud! I would not recommend this park, they totally over sell it on their website. - Tyh
Jul 2012 - $50.00
While this site was roomy and quiet, the roads were rough and needed graded. We had convenient hookups for a toy hauler. There are no trees for the RV sites, and the ground is very sandy, but the scenery is pretty. We never could find the trash dumpster, but a call to the owner would have taken care of that. We arrived late to check in due to two blowouts in the extreme heat. We felt our hostess was in a hurry to be paid rather than showing us some hospitality. If I were the owner, I hopefully would have been gracious enough to let the campers settle in and settle up in the morning. We stayed a week, and the rest of our stay was pleasant. - rhudyfam
Jan 2010 - $35.00
Nice park. It is definitely off the beaten trail. Beautiful lake with lots of Cypress trees and geese. Peaceful and quiet. It is small with not a lot of amenities but if you like the country this is your park. It is about 10 minutes to Conway and another 15 - 20 minutes to the beaches. The owner was very nice and met us there after hours and on a holiday weekend. We will definitely go back. - Skyduckync
Dec 2005 - $25.00
My husband stayed there for about 6 months while working in Myrtle Beach. Great place for kids to play outside not any equipment but large grassy areas and very quiet. Lots of shade we enjoyed it there a lot. - sureshot80
Sep 2016 - $40.00
Sites are concrete pad but all lean down toward the river. Bring your leveling blocks. They have picnic tables and fire rings. There are canoes and a boat ramp. The interior roads are full of pot holes, worse than our last visit in the spring. They said the rates are going up so we will most likely find another campground. - esta34950
Jun 2016 - $39.00
This was our second year here. The spots are all concrete and level, there are picnic tables and fire rings. Almost all the spaces are pull-through. Sadly the interior roads are not good, full of potholes. I think it was once paved, but now gravely pot holes. There is fishing, canoes to rent, and a small walking trail. We will come again. - esta34950
May 2016 - $41.00
Nice campground with lots of shady areas next to the ICW. Although we live just 5 miles away, we normally this campground before we go away or when we return to make sure everything is set up (and working well) and our dogs are acclimated to the camper. We've seen all types of campers here - the nice and the rude, but the staff is professional. - Mack2383
Aug 2016 - $51.00
Excellent location, awesome splash pad. Enjoyed the golf cart rental too!
Nice hard asphalt roads; bring scooters. Don't forget change for meter parking, yes golf cart too. - Bustillos
Jul 2016 - $77.00
Rented cabin K80 w/out bath. Comfy, clean & sufficient. Plenty of fun things for kids but the rest of the park was just OK. Camper sites are small & close together. I would advise against using the smaller bathhouses by the cabins. They're seriously disgusting. I literally gagged when I walked in. Musty, humid, no a/c, moldy shower doors. Would've given more stars if the bathhouses had been clean. Other KOA's have exceeded our expectations. This one did not. - LynchPartyof8
Mar 2016 - $52.00
Can't wait to go back! So much to do and so much fun. The campers are close but we didn't go there to spend time at the camper, we went for the ocean. The location is awesome compared to the ocean. There are so many things to see and do that you wont spend a lot of time at the camper so the density of the park is not really an issue. If you want to be close to the beach this is the campground for you. - LoveCamping2000
Sep 2016 - $28.00
We were in circle (called loops at other camp grounds) 6, spot 318. Site 318 and in a 40' class A with a living-room/kitchen slide on the drivers side and a 22' awning on the passenger side was difficult to place in the spot in order to use both, because of tree placement in the spot, but we did it. Otherwise, it was a great spot with a lot of canopy cover. Bathhouse was clean and functional. Circle 6, spot 318 is a hike to the beach, but good exercise. Food Lion is a 10 minute bike ride on paved trails, make sure you have an extra pass to get back in. Site is a 50 AMP site. - gsc66
Sep 2016 - $38.00
Great place to ride a bike. The beach and pier were nice. Lots of shopping nearby. Lots of trees...be aware of falling limbs in strong winds. Great rangers...I observed a female ranger getting soaked in a downpour while helping a "new to RVing" camper back a TT in. Nature area needs a little updating. We had trouble finding the right road to our site...listen to the directions carefully and be aware there maybe a discrepancy in the road nomenclature. - tom&kathryn
Jul 2016 - $40.00
This state park has it all! I will start with the positives. The sites are all very level and shaded. The picnic tables all looked to be in good working order. The fire rings were in every site. The grass was mowed and most trees were trimmed back so as not to be in the way. The bath houses were in good working order and there was a good supply of hot water. The camp store was well stocked and they had an air compressor to use. The nature center was in great shape and there were plenty of activities for kids of all ages. The roads were all paved and were in good repair. The only negatives I could find were the lack of security in the right places. The prices for pier fishing were a tad high. The reservations system makes one plan ahead. They do not have a pool nor do they have basketball goals. I would give them a 10 if they had had those. - mudhound
May 2016 - $52.00
This is a very good park on the beach, sites are of good size, wifi was fast(may be due to campground being less than half full) and had no utility problems. The main negative for this park is the bathrooms. They are clean, but they are very old and should be torn down and rebuilt. I would recommend expanding them also if possible as I could see them being crowded during the summer season. The looks of the camp store and arcade could also use some updating. They have a great pirate themed mini water park for the youngsters. - theengle
Mar 2016 - $30.00
After calling this park and being told that the pool was open, we chose this park over our usual visit to the state park nearby. However, upon arrival we were disappointed to see that the outdoor pool was not open, nor were most of the other amenities. Other campers were also told the same as us. The bathhouse nearest us had some severe humidity issues that were not attended to.They were also not regularly cleaned but since it was off-season and not used by many, they were okay. This park has some wonderful newer amenities for families/children but the bathhouses are old and dated. A section of trailers down near the beach were extremely unsightly and should be removed. Huge park, half permanent, half camping sites. New cabins just installed (20). Right on the beach. Security at front office. No ground fires allowed. This park is probably 100% better during the main season--with most things closed, we didn't get the true experience. - littleleftie
Jan 2016 - $20.00
The Internal roads are paved, the sites are a grass/sand mix and are fairly level and quite wide. The facilities worked well, but are located at the back of the site, I needed a 25 ' sewer hose and 30' power and water lines, the site was satellite friendly. Staff were friendly, park WiFi worked very well, T-Mobile cell service was very good. The park was quiet. We would stay here again. - KDSpree
Sep 2016 - $48.00
We have stayed here before and enjoy it very much.
The staff is very friendly and very helpful.
The park is always very clean and well maintained. - Larry Burkett
Aug 2016 - $56.00
The park was noisy. Our site had roots growing all over it. It also had what looked like a sewer pump and that was something else to trip on. The trees were overgrown so the awning did not go out. I would not stay here again. - Steve Solomon
Jul 2016 - $85.00
We have stayed here many times, and in 2015, we noticed a big drop in cleanliness, and rules enforcement. 2016 was dangerous. Golf carts are ruthless now, with obvious children, (8+ 10) yrs old driving. Security sits around pool, not patrolling park. Grass not staying cut, and general drop in cleanliness. Such a shame, as this has always been a wonderful beachfront park! - John-Teresa Lynch
Sep 2016 - $60.00
This 1000+ site mega park is like camping in the middle of a large city. Campers constantly moving in and out, day and night and golf carts buzzing all over the place. Our site was right next to the new water park - swell - nothing like listening to screaming kids all day. The place is well run and kind of clean (although somebody needs to pick up litter that inconsiderate campers have tossed). The campers are stacked one on top of the other and small trailers, large trailers, pop ups and class A's are all mixed in. Result? I got to watch some goober take a shower outside of his pop-up at 11 am. Thank goodness he wore shorts. The beach is ok but just like everything else here, it is crammed with people.
If you like loud, busy, cramped campsites, sign up for this one. Otherwise, steer clear. - BigGuy82
Aug 2016 - $84.00
This place is crowded. Despite the crowds and golf carts, I am giving a good review. It was nice to be so close to the beach. The pool and waterpark are very good. Grocery store, food to order, laundromat, you never have to leave unless you want to. Bathroom and showers were comfy and clean. Pull through site was barely long enough for motorhome, had to unhook car. We will return. - Jtroop
Aug 2016 - $86.00
Lots at this park are very close, but do offer some shade. Sites are sand and feature a picnic table. Restrooms and showers were not clean. There are many kids driving golf carts all weekend. Security is very sketchy, unpredictable.
Make SURE you have a valid driver's license on you, to drive a golf cart (even your own insured cart). The $100 fine can ruin a summer vacation in a hurry. - Zomb
Jul 2016 - $70.00
Stayed in the middle of the park in the shaded area. All utility connections are at the back of the site. Walked down to the pier a few times and the park is large. A lot of golf carts driving around. Sites are very close together and roads are narrow. - Puckstoper9
Jun 2016 - $73.00
Great location to the beach and pier. Cabana covered picnic area at each site. Very busy, very crowded, campers checking in and out at all hours. Peace and quiet are a premium. Golf carts are everywhere and lots of dogs. Close to shopping and tons of restaurants. - g peter
Jun 2015 - $69.00
Location can't be beat. Steps away from the beach and a great pier to enjoy in the evenings. We were packed in there but everyone around us was friendly. Cable, Wi-Fi (not free) and hookups were good. - buckingthenorm
Oct 2016 - $55.00
Our campsite was at the"ocean end" of the park, with a 5 minute walk to the gorgeous beach. This time of years, leashed dogs are allowed on the beach.
The large pool is clean and refreshing. In the pool area is a cute zero-depth area, as well as a relaxing lazy river.
Each site has an 8x10 wooden shelter over the picnic table which long-term occupants make into a wind-break by affixing a grommeted tarp to three sides. - JBL
Sep 2016 - $64.00
Stayed the week after Labor Day. Still pretty full, site was right near beach with a covered picnic table. Pool and beach both clean and very close by, dogs were allowed on the beach we walked them twice a day there. We had a great time, nice park. - Bri*CO
Jul 2016 - $85.00
Decided to stay here after researching the other RV parks in the area. Happy we did. Stayed with wife and 2 girls (8 and 13).
Check in was fast, easy, informative, and pleasant. Helpful people in the front area. Had an issue later that week with a lock out, and they were again very nice and helpful. Sent someone from maintenance to try and help us. Also used their Reservation service - again making things easier during our stay.
Site was a bit small - but all are at the beach. Bigger actually than I had presumed. We were 1 row off the lake at the end of the streets going to the beach. It was a great location. Not too far from the beach but with a view of the lake. Quite nice for having coffee in the morning. Roads generally packed dirt/sand but kept in good shape.
Nice beach area. Lots of activities at the campground, including at the pool. The girls (well all of us) really enjoyed it. Workers enthusiastic and outgoing. Nice pool area and lazy river. Really a great time/experience. Great family fun.
Power was perfect: constant voltage without fluctuation. Pet friendly for our dog. Pets allowed on the beach during certain hours. Close to Walmart and attractions. Easy to get around with the highway system.
Bathrooms were modern and clean. Although the campground was crowded, the bathrooms never were. Plenty of facilities.
Had a great time. Would absolutely stay here again. - T.Butter
