We called for reservations July 4th morning. We were treated just perfect. Nothing fancy, just clean and some good old southern hospitality. Right off of I95. Very little traffic noise. Level grass sites with excellent 50 amp service. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 33 foot travel trailer. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The park is adjacent to I-95 which is noticeable but not overbearing. The park was in a field with no shade, but we stayed in February and needed no shade. There is a lake nearby that offers a lot of places to walk and enjoy the scenery. They have no cable. There are several over the air stations you can get. After leaving you can get to Dillon with no problems so anything you need as far as gas and supplies is nearby. They have a gate that locks in the evening and you need a code to get in and out. The Wi-Fi is fast and works with no issues. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is a fine campground for an overnight stay, so we have rated it as such. We have stayed here a couple of times in the past and it has improved over the years. It is located close to the interstate, so there is a little traffic noise. The campground is a large grassy field with trees scattered through out. We had a pull through site that was level, the neighbors are close by but not on top of each other. There are some permanent residents, but their sites are kept neat, and not junky. Utility poles have been update and placed logically, power and water strong. The wifi is adequate, and Sprint phone worked well. We did not try OTA antenna. There is plenty of room to walk the pup, and even nice little lake to walk to. Restrooms and laundry ($1.50) clean. The owner is on site and is very helpful, he even help us replace our 30amp plug. The staff made us feel welcomed. The park reflects that they care as it is neat and well cared for. We will stay here anytime we are passing through the area. We stayed here in 2003 and were not impressed. Scratch that. Either it is much improved or we previously missed something. The manager was very friendly, it was quiet, sites were easy in-easy out, very level. This is the first time in a long time we didn't have to put blocks under the wheels. We had easy satellite set-up, others would have had problems. Wifi was fair, though we have come to expect that. ATT was good. We would definitely stay here again. Overall Rating:

We had a reservation and upon our late arrival, our site number and directions were on the office door. Trying to find our site was interesting with no lights or no visible markers. The site we were pretty sure was ours was already taken. We drove around and found an open site (as others were instructed to do if they arrived late with no reservations). Found one space open between two permanent, run-down campers, got parked, hooked up and went to bed to lots of train and freeway noise. Next day when it was time to pay, very nice staff member said he was sorry someone took our assigned site and was surprised that the electric worked on the site we were in. Apparently, the site had been blocked off but, "someone must have moved it." Only redeeming part was he didn't charge us.

The site was really fine sand that stuck to everything because it was raining. The roads were swamped in many areas. Our site was really, really close to the one next to us. We didn't use the facilities.

There's a nice lake that must be what draws people here. The grounds are really a big open field, poorly marked. The sites along the outer edge were under trees with sand and dirt base and many appeared to be permanent or semi-permanent. The interior sites were grassy with a few trees. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Our 3rd stay at Bass Lake & we will definitely always go back when en route to and from Fl. Very easy access from 95 - minor road noise - major train noise (but we love trains!). Efficient, friendly reservations & office at check-in. We called a day ahead on our way back from FL & were told all the 30 amp full hookup sites were reserved, so we arranged for an available site without sewer (they have a dump station). When we checked in, that was still the case. We were escorted to our site, but minutes later, the nice office lady came by & said she was able to rearrange sites & redirected us to a full hookup. Clearly, the staff goes out of their way to accommodate. Sites are mostly in a grassy, sandy field - a few wooded, but those seemed mostly well maintained seasonals. Hookups are functional & well placed. Immaculate bathhouse. Our verizon signal was excellent. Wi-Fi available but not terrific. No cable. It's a rustic, serene environment - a treat after a day of enduring inconsiderate/speeding/non-yielding drivers on I-95! A lovely place for a walk with or without a dog. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Using our PA membership and reviews on this website, we selected this RV campground for a one night stay, while on our journey home from VA to FL. Pros: Check-in was friendly and easy. Bathrooms were small but clean. Cons: We had to park our TT on grass and dirt. There was not a concrete parking pad. My husband complained that it made cleaning our sewer and water hoses very messy. The ants were very bad. We had to be very careful walking our dog because of the ants. Management/owners should address the ant situation. The roads were not paved, or even covered in gravel. We would stay here again if we had no other choice and needed to stay in the area, but it would not be our first choice. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We spent one night here on our way to Florida. Easy on and off. Next to I-95. Shaded campsites. Friendly people. Will stop again on our way south. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Rate reflects a Passport America discount. Nice, mostly level sites, friendly, helpful folks, both in the office and in the campground. It was easy to access from the highway. Only downside is the highway noise and even that is not too bad. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice staff and new showers and restrooms, Great for a overnight stay while on I-95. Ask for site B-1 it is the largest site and best for the Wi-Fi. Nice lake to fish in and a great place to walk. No cable, but you can pick up a number of stations on your antenna clear as a bell. Their are a few trains you will hear and some noise from I-95. Not many campgrounds in this area don`t pass this one by. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The RV park was kept very clean as were the bath house, laundry and main office. All the staff we met during our stay was very nice and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Most of them referred to us by name when we interacted. The price was right and the monthly rates here are excellent. We do plan on returning and would highly recommend this RV park to anyone looking for a quaint place to stay. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice little campground. Proprietor was very polite and accommodating. Dirt/gravel site was large and level. All utilities worked well. WI-FI a little spotty, but since we have an Airstream and RF doesn't like passing through aluminum all that much, it's difficult to judge. Traffic noise on nearby I-95 was barely noticeable. We will stay here again. Nightly rate reflects Passport America discount. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Came for one night and stayed for a week. It's a very friendly park. The owners always wave and say Hi no matter how busy they are. Every review about the park is accurate. This is one of the nicest parks you will find. It is mostly transient because of it's location by I-95. Most sites are pull thru. Just a few minutes from the Wal-Mart and an easy drive into the town of Dillon. Don't miss the chance to visit the Harbor Freight retail outlet nearby. This is a very nice, clean campground located directly off I-95. The owners were very nice and helpful. The sites were level and in an open field with some trees. Although the area around the campground is not very nice, we were in town for a race at the speedway and will definitely stay here again if we return to Dillon. This was our first ever camping trip with our new travel trailer. The owner and his family were the best! They made us feel very welcome and like we were friends. "Guy" took his time explaining the grounds to us and even offered to help me set up since this was my first time out. We are already looking to go back. We did not use the lake on the property , however we plan to the next trip. We camped at Bass Lake RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.
