We stayed overnight while traveling to Ohio. The check in for the park is at a Valero gas station which is next door. Our site was a pull-through with full hookup. The site was somewhat unlevel but easily manageable. All of the utilities worked fine. The rear section of the campground seemed to be full-timers but they were friendly. When leaving the campground, you have to wait for traffic to clear; it is manageable but I wouldn't try it at rush hour. Dog walking was easy and it appeared that everyone cleaned up after their pets. We would stay here again. We camped at Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you would like an adult beverage, walk back over to the Valero where Johns Place is located. They have a nice outdoor patio, great seating with a pool table and top notch alcohol. You can also walk to Publix. By far this one is the best I have ever been in and I am a regular Publix shopper. This campground is truly one stop shopping.

First time staying here. Check in was at gas station as mentioned in previous reviews. Friendly staff at check in, no problems. Plenty of space to pull your rig at entrance to campground while checking in, although the distance to the gas station could be a problem for folks who have troubles walking. Our site was FHU with 50 amp, back in. We had disconnected at the entrance since we had a back in site. Roads are narrow but easily negotiated. Ample room to back in, everything worked, lots of cable stations to choose from if it's raining! Will stay here again. We camp in a 40' motorhome with truck tow, plenty of space at site. We camped at Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA in a Motorhome.

This park is subpar. First the good: convenient to everything. There is a Publix supermarket right next door. The bad: the park is right behind a gas station, bar and liquor store, so lots of traffic out front. Next, in the back someone has a construction company with access through the park. So all day long there is traffic through the park of non campers. We were parked on this road and it was almost like facing a public street. Finally, the park is old, poorly laid out, and in need of TLC. Our power went out several times during our stay. We camped at Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA in a Motorhome.

The CG is easy access from I-77 with rough but paved internal roads and a combination of gravel and concrete sites. We were able to navigate into, around, and out of the CG without removing the tow from our 45ft MH. The place is a bit disheveled with rough roads and cracked concrete pads but they have long pull-throughs in the back of the park which were plenty long for our car and tow. It appears that all sites have a bit of a slant from end to end but we were able to level the coach with our hydraulic jacks. Utilities are placed at the middle of the pad and worked well. There is a small grass space between pads which gets a bit tight if everyone has slides out. As previously noted, the registration desk is in the gas station. There is a large parking area just behind the gas station to park when registering. WiFi worked surprising well for gentle internet surfing and email. Did not use the rest room or laundry so cannot comment on that. Some sites have tree cover but the one we were in was in the open. We got good satellite and OTA reception. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we got an escort to our site upon arrival. We camped at Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA in a Motorhome.

Stayed just one night to visit relatives. Gas station at the entrance was also where you registered also had a little bar with outdoor patio there. Campground had laundry room, playground, small miniature golf course and pool. But the pool wasn't open yet. Our spot was on the side closest to the road so traffic noise got a little loud in the morning. Our spot could have been more level. Had to disconnect the tow cause we had a back in spot but plenty of room to park it. Had cable hookup. Plenty of grassy areas for walking the dog. We would stay again. We camped at Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA in a Motorhome.

I'm rating this for the "FULL TIME LIVING IN THE BACK". If your a full timer do NOT stay here in the what they say is the long term living. It is way too tight and has very old campers. No internet and only analog tv which is bad. You can't get cable here either. You also have to buy internet if you want it and it's expensive too. Neighbors are not nice and they don't talk to anyone or even say hello. NOW, if you just stay in the front of the KOA it's ok but very high to me. The management wasn't very nice when we were there either... We camped at Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Good for a overnight or for a few days. Did not find it hard to get into, just take it slow and follow the KOA signs. Wifi spotty. Verizon signal 1 bar but data usable. FHU's worked well and in good condition good placement make sure you have a 50 amp site. Some sites are Sat. friendly. Park has good cable tv (99 stations). Site 134 was concrete, level as were a few sites in this section. A KOA person lead us to the site. Park your rig and then have to walk back to gas station to check in, found it not to be a problem. Easy propane fill at the entrance. Gas station in the front good for gassers. Rest rooms still seem to be closed. Would stay here again for an overnight. The Publix grocery is within easy walking distance. Many restaurants in the nearby area. We camped at Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA in a Motorhome.

This was an overnight stop for us at the beginning of a 45 day road trip. We had a pull-thru site that was upgraded to a deluxe (concrete pad and patio), full hook-ups and cable. I prefer to use my own Verizon jet-pack for my wi-fi. The park appeared to be clean and at Halloween it is apparently a spooky park with haunted houses etc. Check-in is kinda weird as you park in the campground and then walk back to a Valero gas station to register. No yellow shirts are seen in the campground. The gas station shares its facilities with a bar and a liquor store. There were no incidents while we were there and I would stay again for an overnight stop. We camped at Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA in a Travel Trailer.

As many campers have said the entrance is confusing at best. If you miss it and have a large rig it's really a hassle. Registration office is shut down so you have to go to the gas station/convenience store to check in. This requires parking at the KOA (plenty of room) and walking to the gas station. Employee did not seem to like his job. Site was level and easy to get in and out. We asked for pull thru so were give two sites since they don't have any real pull-thrus. There's a road through the camp which is pretty busy. The street names are creepy. Scary Lane, Scream Street, etc. The gas station/office has a liquor store on one end and a bar on the other (people sit outside). There's a Publix market nearby which is great. The restrooms/showers were closed. We weren't told this when making the reservation. Wifi & cable was OK. Wouldn't stay more than overnight or stay again. Just too weird. I wouldn't recommend for folks with kids. We camped at Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Signage is confusing. Don't turn where the sign is, its the next turn. Sign in at the Valero after hours (1930). No yellow shirts here. Given a map to go find our site. Directly on the flight path to nearby Charlotte airport. Mostly uneven gravel sites except a few concrete pads. The Wi-Fi is nonexistent. We camped at Charlotte / Fort Mill KOA in a Motorhome.
