The office staff was very friendly. The office smelled new. I also spoke to the owner. We had a pull thru site because we were only staying one night and towing a jeep. The site was level with gravel. There are many permanent trailers here but they are kept very neat. They go around and inspect sites routinely. The cable tv and Wi-Fi worked fine. We had a full hook up site. We didn't hook up to the water because of previous reviews. When I spoke to the owner she said at times the water does get muddy because the new housing and utilities that are being built around them. The water is county water and the campground also has their own filter. The campground is very quiet. I didn't hear any air traffic. I would stay here again. We camped at Crown Cove RV Park (formerly Crown International Campground) in a Motorhome.

Roads are in very poor shape. Cable TV and Internet is useless. You would be better off with a hot spot and using your antenna. The water is so bad most people only use it to shower. It's rust colored. We went through many expensive water filters. Management is absolutely horrible. You are not treated as a customer or with respect. The manager makes it seem like she is the one doing you a favor by letting you stay there. Even though you are a paying Customer. Rules change based on each customer. We do not recommend staying here. We camped at Crown Cove RV Park (formerly Crown International Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is built on a hill so many of the sites are slanted and it takes great effort to level your trailer. Almost no grass. Many long term older trailers. Nice dog park. Would not stay here again. Very poor wi-fi and very basic cable. We camped at Crown Cove RV Park (formerly Crown International Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

A lot of older run down campers with no upkeep on them. The roads have lots of deep pot holes. The spots are very close and lots have very steep drop-offs outside your doors. It says on their website you can stay as long as you want to but that's not the truth, we were told we couldn't stay. They double book spots. I will never stay here or tell anyone else that it's a good place. I'm also letting Good Sam's know what they do here... It's also very noise with the Charlotte Airport, planes fly right over you. People speed through here. Lots of noise on the near by road.. The only thing I liked about this is you are close to all kinds of stores.... Laundry is "NOT" cheap. Didn't use the restrooms. The water here is very bad and I would "NOT" recommend drinking it or giving it to your animals. It's really muddy looking when it comes out and you go through lots of water filters. The last thing I'd like to say is I see double standards in the park, they either like you or they don't... We camped at Crown Cove RV Park (formerly Crown International Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

I found this park better than some of the previous reviews. Their camp host was very accommodating and drove me through some sites before making my choice. My site (101) was a back-in but because of the layout, easy to enter and exit. Cable was very good, Wi-Fi was mostly good except at peak time. Most of the sites are occupied by residents but were well tended. I would stay here again. We camped at Crown Cove RV Park (formerly Crown International Campground) in a Motorhome.

Large park with a lot of seasonal campers and some workers. Did not see a lot of people out and about the park but there were very few empty sites. Quiet and clean. They recommended NOT TO USE our GPS to find them, (they sent an confirmation email with directions included) We did hear a few planes but they were still high enough it was not bothersome and there is a train track within a mile of the park but we did not hear the train much. We camped at Crown Cove RV Park (formerly Crown International Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Follow their directions, not your GPS. (We went to refuel and on the way back ours brought us through a housing development.) We mightn't have made it had we had our Trailer. There is shopping and restaurants nearby/2-5 miles. Carowinds theme park is only a few miles away. We would stay again if in the area.

Stayed here several years ago and I can tell you that this park has really turned itself around. I hear its under new management. Office Staff very nice and quick check in. Nice large pull thru site. Clean Park. They are jam packed which tells you they are doing something right! Quiet place outside of busy Charlotte. Not a resort style campground, but nice and quiet. Enjoyed our stay. And have recommended it to our friends as well. You won't be disappointed. We camped at Crown Cove RV Park (formerly Crown International Campground) in a Motorhome.

This park is convenient to Charlotte, NC. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. I agree with the previous reviews, not much to add. I understand if you are here for several months, the office will give you a wi-fi modem which is very helpful in such a large park. We stayed here three nights to attend the Belk Bowl in Charlotte, NC. This was a convenient location for visiting Charlotte. Sites were asphalt. As happens with many asphalt sites, the sites were sloping across the site. For us that meant having to level by putting downslope wheels on about 4 inches of wooden blocks. Almost all the campers around us had to do the same. This is a nice campground, but most sites were occupied by long-term occupants. Our site was a pull-through, but we had to back out of it. There was no way to pull forward out of the site and make the turn on the camp road in front. It was too tight with trees in the way. We would camp here again if in the Charlotte area. We camped at Crown Cove RV Park (formerly Crown International Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

This is a quiet, clean campground just south of Charlotte close to Carowinds and Cabelas. DO NOT follow GPS directions - you will be routed through a residential area. Use the directions provided on the website.

The campground does have a number of long-term residents whose sites are mostly tidy. It is located on a hill so some of the sites are not completely level. Campsites are mix of gravel and asphalt. I believe that 50amp service is limited. If you absolutely require 50amp - call ahead. Long-term residents are generally working in the area, so evenings/nights are quiet.

Sites in the center of the park are generally pull-through with back-in sites around the perimeter of the park.

Wifi is on par with other campground Wifis - don't expect to stream movies, but you'll be able to pick up email.

There is a large dog park. Unfortunately, many campers do not pick up after their dogs so it can be rather dirty. This should reflect on the pet owners NOT the campground. Campground staff does clean the dog park but can not keep up with lazy owners.

There is a trailhead to a nice greenway along a little river that is easily accessible.

There is no playground or pool. I didn't use the bathhouse or laundry so can't speak to those conditions.

Office staff is friendly and helpful and does daily "ride-arounds" to check conditions.

The park is being updated. I would expect to see more renovations in the future.

If you are looking for quiet, safe place to explore Charlotte and surrounding areas - this is a good choice. We camped at Crown Cove RV Park (formerly Crown International Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here 4 nights in a 40 foot MH, Friendly check in service, good 50 amp, water sewer, wifi very slow, could not get cable to work, BUT that was probably my fault, haven't used cable in years. Too many trees for Satellite dish. I was parked in site 42, long enough site for coach and car although it was a bit slanted. It appears that a lot of the sites are for seasonal or permanents, that's ok as they were all clean and pretty well kept. This place is in an area that is still being developed housing wise, lots of construction and lots of traffic, BUT the park was a quite place.

We would return. We camped at Crown Cove RV Park (formerly Crown International Campground) in a Motorhome.

Local Taxes were: 1)Accommodations Tax - 3%, 2) Sales Tax - 8%, 3) County Tax 3%. Mostly full timers. No flat sites - any mostly level are taken by full timers. WiFi is a joke, especially after they get back from work in the evening. Cable did not work. Lady at the front check-in was totally ignorant of traffic patterns and any questions we asked about the park and how to use the facilities. They wanted every bit of info about us before they would take our reservation over the telephone - type of vehicle and age, color, length, towed vehicle info and color, address, Email, telephone, and charge card. Plenty of unlevel, narrow sites available. Watch that first step off your coach. Site map does not show anything but sites - not baths, showers or anything else. Site was asphalt but I had to mark concrete. Picnic table was very old, warped and splintery - totally on a 20 degree tilt. Hard to get to from I-77 - directions are not specific enough - GPS will get you lost. We camped at Crown Cove RV Park (formerly Crown International Campground) in a Motorhome.

Beware of this campground. They misrepresent things when making a reservation and are argumentative when attempting to sort things out. We made a reservation, explaining to 2 individuals that we have a large fifth wheel (43') and needed a sizable, easily accessible site. We had originally planned to stay for at least 3 months. We drove 8 hours before arriving at the park, arriving to: 1. A truck was parked in the site. 2. The site was impossible to get into. Since it was after hours, we left and went to a KOA. The manager has refused to refund our money & misstated the facts when telling us we were wrong. At the time we made the reservation, we were told this was the only site available and we would definitely fit in it. Plus we were told the site had been completely redone (not the case). All the sites are poorly positioned, unlevel, very narrow. The place looks like a working man's workcamp and is poorly maintained with no policing of the residents or grounds. We suppose they needed our money more that we did. Please beware of this place and the manager. This is the former Praise Hollow campground at the defunct Heritage USA (PTL) resort. I guess the mindset has changed dramatically. We camped at Crown Cove RV Park (formerly Crown International Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.
