Follow their website directions and you will not have any trouble finding this park. It's a very well kept KOA. We arrived in Gaffney a week early for our scheduled "Camp Freightliner" training and service on our coach so we stayed here before moving to the Freightliner campground and were very pleasantly surprised by the amenities. They have so much to do, especially for kids. The interior roads are one way and a bit narrow but very manageable. Sites are gravel with grass and picnic tables. We requested a site with no trees so we could get satellite but many sites have trees. Internet was strong and reliable. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA in a Motorhome.
Tips for other Campers:
Take the tour of the Freightliner factory. It's very impressive! Ate at Sagebrush and Daddy Joe's. Both were very good.
We were met by very friendly people. The lady at the check in and the lady that took us to our site. Wonderful people. Our site was a long pull thru with shade. Easy in and out. We camped at Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA in a Motorhome.
We stayed here a night on our way north on I-85. Many of the sites appear to be seasonal/permanent and those are in the woods under tall pines. They put us in a pull-throughs out front that had no shade which made getting satellite TV easy. The roads and sites are gravel and the site was reasonably level. Verizon worked well. The husband and wife team who operate the park were very pleasant. We camped at Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA in a Motorhome.
Tips for other Campers:
The office staff will make you a pizza if you are tired and want a quick meal.
Poor signage coming off of the interstate highway, but once you figure out how to get there, it is one of the better KOAs. Our pull through site was not severely sloped, was sufficiently large, and utilities worked well. Staff was helpful and friendly. We camped at Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $54.00
Site was very well maintained, the restroom was very clean, the hookups all worked well, water regulator was pegged at 50psi for the stay, camp manager informed us the pressure operated normally around 60-55psi. There are some workers that appear to be living in some of the rental trailers in one of the back corners of the camp. At night the grounds were quite with only a little road noise from I-85 filtering thru. We camped at Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $27.00
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The restrooms and laundry room were very clean. The pool and mini golf were being prepared for the summer season. The biggest issue was the placement of the utilities at some sites. On our site the sewer connection was at the back of the site. It was not upright but was at about a 45 degree angle and had no threaded connection. Dumping the tank we needed to be sure there was a solid foot on the connection. We will most likely stay again when in the area. The price reflects a two weeks staying at a monthly rate. We camped at Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA in a Motorhome.
Tips for other Campers:
While in the area there are a couple of Revolutionary War battlefields as well as the BMW museum to visit.

A decent park about half way between Spartanburg and Gaffney. Easy access. Some nice camping areas, some not so nice. The staff was great and this park is good for a few nights stay but we were there for a month. We were originally planning to be here for three months but our open site was so very muddy and so un-level we left after one month. The main camping section is well shaded but we saw some extremely un-level sites with big modern units having to use many boards under the tires and on the levelers to get it satisfactory, comfortable, and safe for RV fridge operation. I have a very hard time understanding RV park owners not putting an extreme emphasis on providing level, clean, not muddy sites. maybe they don't care about return guests. We had metered electric for a very high 15 cents per kwh. We camped at Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $38.00
Pulled in for just one night. Very friendly hosts. Great sites with tall trees; plenty of room to navigate. Baths dated but fine & very clean. Tricky exit off highway & we missed the fact that you take a road parallel to the highway for easiest access; we went a couple miles around, but all was okay. We would stay again, although not much is around here. We camped at Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA in a Motorhome.
Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $42.00
Quiet weekend with campground less than half full. Grounds were in great shape. Check in without a reservation was quick. Nice folks in the office. Escorted to site. Many tall pine trees on sites. Only negative is the somewhat confusing access road off I-85 to get to the campground. Would stay again. We camped at Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This park is OK for an overnight stop off I-85. You have to drive an extra mile or so from the interstate down an access road to the entrance. The park personnel were very nice and we were escorted to our site. The parking assistant was very good with directions and cautioned us about obstructions for our departure the next morning. The pull-through site was very narrow. Our tires just fit on the gravel. We had a semi-rotted picnic table and the thick wet and rotted grass clippings made keeping the inside of our RV clean a challenge. This park does have an abundance of grassed areas to walk dogs, and there is a nearby outlet mall and a Cracker Barrel. We did use the laundry room and it was very clean. We camped at Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA in a Motorhome.
This KOA is convenient to eateries, movies, grocery and gas stations and is right off I-85 but one hears no noise at night. The sites are large and spacious and well maintained. The pool and laundry is spotless and the bathrooms are, too. This is one of the better KOAs we have been to and one of the cleanest. The staff is friendly and helpful with suggestions of where to go and things to do. The Freightliner school picks you up for their class and drops you back off in the PM. We camped at Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA in a Motorhome.
The nightly rate is a result of staying monthly. Overall we were quite satisfied with the park. It's quiet and clean. The staff were very friendly and always willing to give any assistance needed. There seemed to be a lot of staff as you could always see them working around the park. The major negative is that many of the sites are not level. We actually had to place boards under one tire on our motorhome so it still made contact with the ground. We camped at Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA in a Motorhome.
Easy in, easy out park. Roads were not paved but level and easily navigated in our big rig. We stayed here to attend Freightliner School. Staff was friendly, sites were level and wide. We would stay here again, We camped at Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA in a Motorhome.
Many sites are in need of leveling. The water placement for a motor home was way way too far back. When leaving, the turn from the campground onto I-85 North is wicked tight if you tow and your RV is longer than 36ft. Find another way, know that you'll have to disconnect your car, or skip this campground. Other than that, it was okay. We camped at Spartanburg NE / Gaffney KOA in a Motorhome.
